The PS4 definitely needs to release first to be able to compete with the next Xbox. Microsoft has the most momentum going into next gen (although the PS2's momentum sure didn't seem to help the PS3) and with the next generation of Kinect, they will have something to pull in the casuals alongside the hardcore right from the get-go. Who knows though, things in the video game industry can be very unpredictable, but there's certainly no doubt that the Xbox brand is the strongest right...
I bet if he's a gamer he only plays an Xbox 360.
Vice City on the RAGE engine makes me ponder what GTA V's beaches will look like.
This is looking like Game of the Year quality! Go 343 Industries! Halo is definitely in good hands.
I can't wait to play this on my Xbox 360!
For people in the Fall dashboard beta, it is. It's a lot of fun, for sure! Microsoft just keeps piling on the incentives to subscribe to Xbox LIVE Gold. I am a happy customer!
Well said, Ndivhu. It's nice to see some intelligent people around here.
Forza Motorsport holds the top three spots for highest rated racing game of this gen on Metacritic. I wonder if Forza Horizon could become the highest rated arcade racer of this gen. Nevertheless, the game is looking beautiful as expected.
The driving is my number one concern for GTA V. They got the physics almost perfect in GTA IV, but I'm afraid they change them to make them more arcadey. I cannot stand the driving physics (or lack thereof) in games like Saints Row and Sleeping Dogs. The cars handle (and usually look) like plastic toys. No sense of weight whatsoever, oversensitive steering, no skill involved in driving. In comparison, GTA IV's vehicle handling is so much deeper. It's a much more dynamic and unpred...
Other sources confirm it was running on PC and being played with an Xbox 360 controller:

It's pretty strange to compare Sleeping Dogs to a 4-year old game, but I guess that just shows how high Rockstar has set the standards. The only things I prefer in Sleeping Dogs are the melee combat and the movement/parkour. Everything else GTA IV is miles ahead in - driving, environmental detail, physics, voice acting, dialogue, overall presentation values/polish, you name it. That's not to say Sleeping Dogs is a bad game though, quite the contrary. It's probably my favorite non-...
Can't wait to play this on Xbox 360!
84 inches? Total overkill.
"They make you pay just to access multiplayer"
That is a blatant lie. There are dozens upon dozens of features that come with an Xbox LIVE Gold membership, many of which are not available on any other console. If someone is paying just for multiplayer and not taking advantage of any other features, then that is their loss.
I agree about the hand-to-hand combat, but that is the only place in which Sleeping Dogs shines over GTA IV, and the melee combat is an integral part of the game in Sleeping Dogs while it was never meant to be the main form of combat in GTA. Sleeping Dogs' melee combat is to GTA IV's melee combat, as every other facet of GTA IV is to Sleeping Dogs.
Now I'd like to address each point in the article:

@BigStef71
That Snake exchange between Don Mattrick and Kojima was obviously scripted.
With Sony, it's style over comfort with the controller, and I do not like that at all.
@Lucretia
The only way in which Saints Row reminds me of last gen GTA games are the driving physics. That's right, Saints Row's driving physics feel like a PS2 game. No sense of weight or realism to the vehicles. That was perfectly acceptable in 2004, but not on current gen consoles.
GTA IV's driving is a much more dynamic experience and it added so much to the game. So refreshing after the arcadey controls in almost all other open world games. Po...
What a terribly misleading title. Even a simple question mark at the end could remedy this.
I'm having so much fun with this DLC.
