Halo 2 Anniversary is rebuilt from the ground up and is basically running two 1080p graphics engines at the same time with the ability to instantly swap between classic and Anniversary graphics at any time.
I don't believe this for a second. Just look at 2006 Xbox 360 games compared to games later in the console's life. The games look dramatically better as the console ages and the developers get a better grasp on the hardware. PS4 and Xbox One games are going to look far better in a few years. I don't believe for a second that the Xbox One would never be able to handle an early PS4 game.
Too bad your opinion on Sony doesn't translate to their financials.
I think you're going to be mighty disappointed if you expect the Xbox brand to "die" any time soon.
I'd assume that most people know the game is published by Sony and would never release on an Xbox console. And the casual gamers who wouldn't be knowledgeable on the subject probably wouldn't even know what The Last of Us is. It certainly is no Halo or Gears of War with mainstream popularity.
Controller comfort? If that was a fact, then The Last of Us would not be one of my favorite games of last gen. "Comfortable" is certainly not a word that would spring to mind when thinking of the DualShock 3. Can't wait to try the game with a PS4 controller, though!
Like the Xbox 360?
92 million? No way! They hit 80 million last November and you think they shipped 12 million more units in 8 months? That's impossible. Do you think the PS3 is outselling the PS4? Because it's not. Just look at NPD data or any other sales data and you will see the PS3 is selling only a fraction of the PS4's sales. That's a good thing! But I'd say you are overestimating the PS3's sales by a good 7 or 8 million.
I can't imagine how devastating the hack must have been for some. Imagine you worked for years on a game and finally see its release. Then the next day the digital store (the only place anyone can buy your game) goes down and stays down for two months. What incredibly bad timing. Many games saw their chances at success instantly destroyed because of the hack. I could imagine it completely discouraging some small teams from developing another game. All that time and money wasted.
I keep finding myself less and less interested in big budget AAA games and more and more interested in small indie titles. All the big publishers need to play it safe. They can't take many risks with a $100 million budget. The game has to sell or they could go under. All the creativity and originality these days is in the indie scene. These small teams are really breathing life into an increasingly tired and rote industry.
I think I would enjoy just reading other people's quips than to write my own.
Sounds very interesting.
GTA IV scored higher than any Mario game with a 98 on Metacritic. As far as I'm aware, only Ocarina of Time has scored higher with a 99, but with far fewer reviews.
I wonder if we will finally see an end to the issue of repeating cars. It will be even worse with the increased traffic volume if 60% of said traffic is composed of the same SUV in varying colors.
Weekly sales down for every console except the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Interesting.
I really dig the art style.
I prefer games about not jumping.
Will have to consider trying this out.
Never would have guessed that!
I don't care how great their exclusives are. Third party support is basically the backbone of any console. Microsoft and Sony also have great exclusives, and then they have strong third party support to back that up. A console that doesn't get the big releases like Fallout, Grand Theft Auto, The Elder Scrolls, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, BioShock, Red Dead, Metal Gear Solid, and so on, is much less of a console. At best, it's a second purchase to complement a PS4 or Xbox One. B...
