GTA V was the highest rated and best-selling game of 2013 with a 97 on Metacritic and 30 million copies sold.
Interesting that the Xbox 360 sold half as much as the original Xbox at launch in Japan, but went on to sell 4 times more than its predecessor worldwide. Just goes to show how irrelevant Japan is to the Xbox's success.
You could just call this "Five Game Worth Buying This Month".
That's a great attach rate for a game that released 7 years into the console's lifecycle. Attach rates are always higher at the beginning of a console generation when there are few big games to play. Just look at Titanfall on the Xbox One - over 2 million copies sold to a 5 million install base. 40% attach rate!
Why would they bother to secure its exclusivity forever? Games produce the majority of their sales within the first few weeks, especially with a holiday release. Basically, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be exclusive to Xbox until sales have dried up and it is no longer relevant. Then it will come to other platforms after it has paid off all its benefits to Microsoft. Obviously, they wouldn't make the deal in the first place if it wasn't beneficial to them.
A "terrible" game and the second highest rated game of all time!
How will being cross gen prevent Rise of the Tomb Raider from competing? Unless you're only talking about visuals. I actually preferred the new Tomb Raider's gameplay to Uncharted. Although Naughty Dog was still miles ahead when it came to other aspects like storytelling and performance capture.
Third party games don't sell on the Wii U. It could have 2 times the install base of the Xbox One and the XB1 version of Advanced Warfare would likely still outsell the Wii U version.
I liked Revelations and felt like it was a step away from the action-oriented RE6. I still found the setting pretty boring though, with the entire game taking place on the ship. I like to see more varied environments.
Kinect was certainly not "dead before it even got going". It broke sales records to become the fastest-selling consumer electronics device with 8 million sold in its first 2 months back in 2010. It went on to sell over 20 million units for the Xbox 360.
I like video games.
I like money.
It was a feature promised to be in the game. Players are still waiting for this feature almost a year after release.
Was wishing I had a GameCube again to play REmake but now I'll just get it on a new console.
Now that they've switched the GWG model to be more like PS+ (you lose the free games when your subscription runs out as opposed to keeping them forever), Microsoft has been able to offer much better titles.

Not to mention, Halo 3 released in an era before Call of Duty rocketed in popularity and became the go-to FPS.
@Omegasyde
Err, what big games does Activision have coming to consoles these days besides Call of Duty and Destiny? A lot of their big franchises (like Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk) are no longer relevant. There would be a very limited portfolio compared to EA and all their studios and franchises.
Besides, what makes you think Activision would partner with Sony to begin with? Their marketing deal for Destiny? That's just one game. Microsoft and Activision st...
Until GTA V remastered! Actually, that's kind of sad.
Do you have any data to back up your claims of this supposed conspiracy against the PS4? Here is the data I've collected:
August 2014
VGC Predictions:
PS4: 193K
XB1: 156K
NPD Results:
PS4: 190K (overtracked by 3K)
XB1: 160K (undertracked by 4K)
