This is a terribly flawed comparison. PS Plus offers free games on three different platforms (PS4, PS3, Vita). GWG was only offering free games on the 360 until June when they started the program for the XB1. That's still less platforms than PS Plus covers, so of course there have been less games given away on XBL.
Even greatest console of this gen would be debatable. Of all time? There is no way to determine that after one year. Let's see how it's doing in 5 years and what the game library looks like then, shall we? Rarely do we think of the first year of a console's life when looking back and determining its quality.
I'm thankful for Sea-Bands so I don't become violently ill any time I'm in a moving vehicle.
I'm on PS4 and haven't noticed much improvement since the patch. I had a glitch today where I couldn't cancel out of searching for a co-op game. I could not start any missions or even open the map. Ended up relaunching the game after 10 minutes of waiting. Also, the occasional drops to single-digit frame rates continue. Really losing interest in the game.
Dedication, for sure. For as huge as their ambitions are, Rockstar never fails to deliver. I trust (and respect) them more than any other developer out there. They take their time to make their games as polished and high quality as possible. GTA V was remarkably bug-free for such a large and complex game world. And they must have some technical wizards working at Rockstar to pull that off on last gen hardware. I can't even imagine how good a GTA (or Red Dead) built from the ground up for ...
Now you know.
Starting on November 2, you'll be able to get the Sunset Overdrive bundle for $349 at many retailers. The promotion runs through January, so I'd say pick it up on Nov 2. Also, if you trade in your old 360 or PS3 to the Microsoft store, you can get $100 off an Xbox One. Combine that with the $50 price cut and you could get the Sunset Overdrive bundle for only $249. I definitely recommend that!

Let's be honest here. The real battle is between the Xbox One and PS4. The XB1 has been outselling the Wii U for a long time now, anywhere from 2:1 to 4:1 in weekly sales. The Wii U is only ahead because of its earlier launch, and it will be in third by the end of the year. If it were CURRENTLY selling anywhere close to XB1 numbers (which are already far below PS4 numbers), then it would enter the discussion. But it's not. Recent numbers have had even the PS3 selling more weekly than ...
I think it's on sale for the 10 year anniversary. The old version of San Andreas on XBL was more expensive than that.
It has nothing to do with the battle against the PS4. The PC is basically neutral territory. Microsoft's interest would be in keeping their games off a PlayStation console, not PC.
You've never played a GTA game? Wow, you are in for a treat!

I don't see how that would work, considering the multiplayer of Halo and Gears are so fundamentally different, even aside from the fact that one is a FPS and the other is a TPS.
Agreed. I do not care for the genre AT ALL. I really could not have less interest in Bayonetta 2. The high scores did draw my attention (holy crap a 10 from GameSpot) but they did not make me want to play the game. If I had any interest in getting a Wii U, it would probably be for a new 3D Mario successor to Galaxy. Then again, after selling my Wii between Mario Galaxy 1 (which I absolutely loved) and its sequel, I was never compelled enough to buy another Wii for Galaxy 2, despite it being o...
GTA V looks ridiculously good on PS3/360.
It's largely useless to compare the Metacritic score between different versions of the same game. The PS4 version has more reviews included in its score. No reviewer gave the game a lower score on the Xbox One considering the two versions are identical.
It all depends on which reviews get included on each page. Some reviewers specify what platform their review is for and Metacritic will only include that score for that one platform. With only some scores being included fo...
Oh please. In the late '90s, GT offered an experience unlike anything else. That was a different era in gaming. A Gran Turismo title has not broken 90 on Metacritic in over 13 years. Forza has consistently outscored it for the past decade with the exception of the rushed launch title that is Forza 5, which received lower scores for having less content than previous games in the series and because of microtransactions. Nothing to do with the core gameplay experience, which was as solid as ...
Aside from GTA V's water looking beautiful and behaving realistically, the attention to detail that Rockstar puts in their games is what really brings their worlds to life. When you get out of the water in GTA V, you leave a trail of water or a larger puddle if you stand still. Your clothes slowly dry off over time and your wet shoes even make a squishy sound as you walk.
This is why I keep coming back to GTA V over a year later. I just explore the world and still find ne...

No, actually VGChartz seems right on track to me. Their numbers only go through Nov 30 right now for Japan. If you add in the two weeks since, including 68,000 units for the week ending Dec 14 (according to this article), then VGChartz should be almost exactly on target.
