Well it's not necessary. games like witcher and alpha protocol are some of my favorites. Though I will say one bad example of banter doesn't mean that's how all will be. There're games out there like dragon age, and spec ops the line where it's done perfectly.
Some games could really use it in my opinion. mainly Bethesda's big two series. I played oblivion and it just felt... soul less, if that makes sense. Now maybe having companions and banter wouldn...

That kinda sucks. I'm a sucker for party banter. That and it usually makes side missions more interesting as far as said missions personally involving squadmates or getting feedback from them based on how you handled the situations etc.

oh well.

I want to be hyped for this game. It's the type game I love. Third person, squad based, post disaster, all that. Just don't like the focus being on multiplayer. I like to get lost in a world and my friends... Well I'd rather after a mission have someone like Jack in mass effect tell me about the experiments run on her and the troubled past she has than say... a conversation with one of my friends about what I want on my half of the pizza.
Sorry Thomas, Richard and Har...

personally I feel there's a much stronger case to be made for getting a wii u s a second console no matter if you went ps4 or x1.
Despite all the fanboy wars and all that, those two are just too similar.

Why? I game some on PC and I just prefer controllers over mouse and keyboard. Not all PC gamers are the "master race" types.

I'm not into fighting games and I've never played one on PC, but I've heard over and over again, that if you have the option to get your fighting games on console. I figured with controller support it would be a moot point. guess I was wrong.

I haven't played yet, but I bought this game already and I'm going to start it up as soon as I'm done with the original witcher.
From all the reviews and talk I've read and heard, I doubt I'll regret my purchase.

If you don't care too much about resolution and frame rate and such. Alienware alpha is a decent price and meant to hook up to your TV. It runs most games at 1080p which probably as highas most TVs run now. I grabbed one, not to run fallout 4 at 4K, but play all those PC titles I've been missing out on, witcher, party hard, pillars of eternity They all run fine.
One suggestion if you take my advice: nab a steam controller as well. I love that thing.

I like them in that they scratch that completionist itch.

Good list. not sure why it was limited to just 8. That and the number one couple in my view didn't make the list (Geralt and Yennefer), granted, having read the witcher books and loving them, I'm a little biased there.

I Couldn't get into Halo so not sure about cortana and master chief. Personally I'd go with Locke and Celes as a replacement.

With Geralt and Yennefer being #9, I'd build up to ten with Akiyama and Lily from Yakura 4.

@ azz
to name a few...
I think you hit just about all of them apart from maybe some obscure titles. PS4 has way more that you can't play anywhere else.
Look, I'm not bashing on Xbox. I own one myself and I love it. But I can't, in good conscience, recommend an X1 to someone who has a gaming PC.

If you want both an X1 and a PC, go PC and forget xbox. Trust me, I own them all, and a PS4/PC will have you covered. If you still have extra cash, grab a Wii U as you'll get plenty more out of it than you would an X1.
X1 is a great machine on it's own, but once you have or are thinking about getting a PC, best to pass on X1.
Now the main counterpoint to this is backwards compatibility, but that really comes down to how much that matters to you. If that value of y...

Nyxus, I guess I can see that but the only reason I'd be upset about it is if I bought an X1 soley for this game, and already owned a gaming PC.

My two cents: it's fanboys. The Xbox "fans" upset by this are really fanboys who hate that PS fanboys are shoving the "no true X1 exclusives" line in their faces.
I've said this before, but I think a PC gamer is far more likely to also have a console than a console gamer is to also have a PC. And PC gamers tend to buy their multiplats on PC. I'm sure MS did the math and figured the money they'd lose from new console sales wasn't enough to r...

I'm guessing it's safe to assume NA will get a similar deal. At around that price... yeah I'll buy it. (twist my arm sony)

Good read. I didn't frequent GT that often and I've heard both about them being trustworthy and about them having an xbox bias. Don't know which is true, but I guess that doesn't matter now. Just sad to see anyone lose their job.

Don't care too much about all that, just happy more people will get to play Alan Wake. great game that deserves more exposure.

3686d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

only if you have a gaming PC.
Most probably don't care how many platforms the game they want is on. They just care if they can play it and how good it is.
