From the article: "Whilst cost is important, very, in fact, when it comes to a new technology, it’s the content that will be of greater importance to fans. "
Though to be honest, from my point of view, I don't see things the way either you or the author do. When I think of the best VR experience, I don't think about the quality of the image, or the best games. Because of it being brand new tech. Best to me which will have the most beneficial impact on the...
Everything I've read put it at the foot of the shareholders. They don't see xbox as a money maker. And with the constant price drops and sale pricing, they can't be making that much per box. A shame, since as you pointed out, you can right the ship. Xbox might not bring in the big bucks, but it can still make money, and more importantly, gamers take note of when companies stick by them. Look at CD Projekt Red and the love they get from their policies, or Sony from not followi...
This is the best comment in this entire section.
Depends on the country doesn't it? For a lot of places that's the proper way of typing out a dollar amount.
more is redundant. also it doesn't include a PS4. So not so complete. That bundle also doesn't include a $20 credit on my electricity bill. I also need food and water to stay alive to be able to play it. Did you even think of that?
No? well there you go. Sony's just ripping you off by not paying your rent for you.
catch 22. if they keep selling it at that price it's more likely those within MS calling for them to do away with xbox will get their way as they make significantly less on each unit.
But if they stay with 350, then less units get sold. and they run into the same problem.
My bad, for some reason I was thinking the price of the 2 touch controllers for the rift.
So yeah that brings it down by another 50.
I would say yes, BUT, 2nd place is where xbox is at it's best. Being in second place saw always online go away, used games, back to normal, Kinect become optional, a heavy push for new IPs, backwards compatibility, etc etc. I don't think any of those things would have happened if Xbox was king of the mountain.
The one point of caution that I can see is if they fall too far behind, that will give MS shareholders the ammo they need to kill off xbox as we know it. And...
Playroom comes with PSvr.
option C there would probably be up to retailers. I seriously doubt Sony wants that price tag sitting out there. That's one of the main reasons I loved the name change. playstation vr isn't as sexy as Morpheus, but it will act as a buffer for mommy and daddy looking to buy it for little jimmy. Seeing "playstation" in front of vr will prompt them to check and see if they need a playstation to use it. That will hopefully save some heartac...
Congrats dad! Cherish her man. good times and bad. Even when things get frustrating, remember, you're everything to her.
But yeah, same boat. except is was a resistance 3 bundle for me. That bundle came with their sharpshooter gun (didn't care about it, but the bundle was dirt cheap). I can see that thing getting some use now with a couple VR shooters.
Weren't they upfront about it not including the additional hardware? how is that false advertising?
But from nothing:
psvr: $400 for the headset, $350 for the console, $100 for 2 move controllers, $50 for the camera. So at it's highest without searching for any deals, $900.
Oculus: $600 for the head set, $100 for touch controllers, and low balling the PC, $1,200 so a conservative estimate for oculus is $1,900.
Well it's $399 for me. I have the camera and move controllers. Almost had to buy another move controller but forgot I had one still boxed up from when I moved. (no pun intended).
Thing is if these things were included with psvr as a base model, this article would be about Sony taking advantage of gamers like myself getting shafted. As for them purposefully advertising the lowest possible price, well see every car commercial ever. Companies will always advertise their ...
The main one I wanted to play of all the demo stuff they've been doing isn't included it seems.
Kitchen.
EDIT: also, this, imo, should have been the pack in title with playroom included. Give everybody a taste of each genre.
Bang for your buck? PSVR by a mile.
If money's no object: Rift.
Though I thin the vive is the most advanced of the bunch.
@ Tob, well except with PS3...
I already owned a camera and a move controller. I went ahead and ordered a spare move controller last night. checking again this morning, the amazon price only jumped up about $5. But still, I'm sure that'll go through the roof soon.
Day one buy for me.
assuming it's in stock.
This game looks awesome! You actually pretend to be a bad guy but really you're helping train the heros with some real world experience.
*sigh* day one.
Sorry wallet, you got to take another one for the team.
