Same enemy over 'n over is kind of annoying, and that particular enemy does not look spectacular at all. The lighting, fire, water and particle fx are very nice still. Nothing shown in gameplay is anything near the original tech demo though. Every dungeon shown so far has been made of squared stone walls, so it's not really that complex in architecture from what they've shown. The only interesting enemies so far were the cool looking water monster, and the dragons.
I wanna see the freezing time thing. Anyhow, I still wish it was a full open-world game, and some of the enemies like the bear-boar creature is kinda whatever. It still is amazing looking overall though, the lighting, water and fire effects are superb. Multiplayer just makes it better, and all the auto-random generated stuff will add greatly to replay value, so it's all good.
So, the game definitely isn't open world then I guess. You just warp to different dungeons from the home base it seems. Should still be a fun game, especially with multiplayer. I'd love for them to make an open world Dragon's Dogma type multiplayer game too though.
I love Sean as a character and all, and he was one of my SF3 mains, but it'd be better for it to be a more unique character. Like Baka-akaB said anyways, it's a char that hasn't been playable in SF before.
They are getting annoying with this though, it's been a long ass time, just tell everyone already Crapcom.
@PS3gamer4life,
They've said in the past that SF5 would be more for hardcore gamers again, not sure if I believe ...
I'd hate to see what happened to the X1 when BF4 was thrown at it. It prolly RROD'd right before completely dying on the spot.
Wow, that fan animation is pretty f'in tight!
Hah, Razer is expanding their market I see.
Yet, you're the one getting treated like a prostitute by Microsoft. They are planning on having advertisements all over that the kinect camera will track your eyeballs to see if you actually actively watch them, and give you bs achievements for doing so.
Achievements that if I'm correct don't actually add to your gamerscore. They aren't paying you for watching the ads, like how swagbucks 'n other online places do, and you still have to pay to get online to...
PS4 is more powerful, it's somewhere between 30-50% going by any/all the spec details. Denying the fact doesn't change the fact. It doesn't mean you can't go out and buy an Xbone, whichever one has the exclusives and features you want - you get.
BS. The fanbase always wants more content, they didn't want characters in games like SF x Tekken locked on the disc they bought, to be sold to them later. The separate DLC budget talk is complete BS, if it's done for launch and on disc, give it to the people, and stop scamming.
Yeah, the $$$ DLC revenue ave is exciting for publishers, they can do alot with it, but companies like Capcom go about it completely the wrong way.
I don't trust Capcom anymore, they'll just find a way to screw it up by r@ping us on day-one $$$ DLC that should be included in the original price tag. I'm not even that excited about a potential Capcom vs SNK 3 or Street Fighter V anymore because of the ridiculously greedy way they handle franchises now.
Ono should break away from Capcom with his team and go indie, and make a "spiritual successor" to such games.
"The representation of environments is close to photo realistic, and elements like degradation of weapon and armor will also be displayed graphically. The PS4 is able to calculate the accumulation of mold, dirt and rust on equipment and display it on the textures, giving you the sensation that those items really exist in the world."
That's awesome, it sounds like it'll have procedural textures.
Glad he mentioned the unlocks will be changed. That's why I stopped playing it on the PC. I wasn't willing to pump $ into it, and it was an insane grind just to unlock 1 attachment for a gun, and that was just unlocking it for a few days or so. To unlock an upgrade permanently would take forever.
It would be nice if they allowed you to unlock everything for like $30+ dollars, instead of making you pay some crazy amount of money to unlock all the guns, customizations, ...
Smash TV, old school.
@azshorty2003,
Yeah, it's slowed alot, but they waited a while to add more stretch goals that were meaningful, that surely had part to do with that. With 20 days left though, I feel extremely confident it will reach the next gen goal.
I highly doubt you have to worry, they have about 3 weeks left, and everyone and their mother wants a PS4 version. They just recently added those stretch goals, so once more people notice there are now next gen options, they're gonna push it over the top within the next few days I'd assume.
Oh God, Evil Within O-R support would cause heart conditions.
@CRASHBASHUK,
Mirrors Edge is a no brainer, I agree. Would be super cool being at such high elevation and running 'n jumping roof to roof while fully immersed in the environment and free to turn your head and look anywhere as you move.
GTFO with that bullsh*t. That looks corny as sh*t, like some generic Resident Evil special star team member. Who the f*ck are these people to say how Kojima should design his characters? Then put some stupid regular design out there, saying that's how it should be.
I was a little annoyed when I heard that he told the designers to make her have more sex appeal for sales of figurines 'n stuff like that, and I think the design could have been light on clothing but still ...
Showed off same stuff, but it's still cool.
Yeah, not knockin' it, and I agree with all of you, just had to make that point about the squarey stone dungeon designs.
It is a good sign overall though, considering they probably aren't using much GPGPU computing at all yet, and the PS4 API, even though much further along in maturity than Xbone's currently, is definitely still in an infantile state compared to where it'll be in another year or 2.
So, as long as the Panta Rhei engine also kee...
