I was scared after that quick trailer from awhile back where it obviously looked way crappier than the tech demo. This definitely is more in line with the initial tech demo though.

The randomly generated dungeons, and items and individual creature variations is awesome. That's perfect for a game like this, replay value goes through the roof when they add things like this to such games. I'm back to being excited for Deep Down again, yay.

Yeah, graphics still aren't quite next gen, but it's probably worth playing just for the fact it's the RE creator and he's bringing it back to true survival horror. The last few RE games have been a total disgrace. Zombies with machine guns? Come on with that bullshiz Capcom. You run around like a super hero now in RE games, instead of each bullet counting and every zombie being a huge threat. They lost it.

Hopefully the graphics are still being worked on with...

Not sure I'd even want one by Capcom. They'd just lock off half the stages and content as Day One $$$ DLC.

The Megaman creator breaking away and making this game as an indie is the best thing that could happen to Megaman, or it's "Spiritual Successor".

The crazy part is, it has actually slowed down considerably, it was going crazy fast for the first 2-3 days. I hope they decide to make a PS4 version.

I agree, I also felt it was pretty ugly, and not fitting for Strider. I can't believe Capcom handed it off to Double Helix, well, it is Crapcom, so I guess it is believable. It is annoying though, especially after them recently stating that they realize the quality of their games have been dropping partially because they outsource so much, and that they were gonna slow down with outsourcing.

It's a good thing the RE creator and Megaman creator are doing their indie th...

Who said the graphics determine how the game plays? I said the graphics were trashy for a game releasing after 2013. It being f2p should help it though, because I still can't understand how they had the nerve to make it a subscription based model in those iterations that came out after the original PSO on Dreamcast, because it was such a small game overall.

If it does well then good for them though, I have nothing against them, and Phantasy Star was a great RPG series bac...

PSO for Dreamcast was a fun online game I played with a friend alot. It definitely had it's negatives, like the fact it was such a small world, only like 5 main bosses with 3 little stages leading up to them. Then they actually charged a subscription price for the little expansions and sequels they made, which I never played and would have never paid for.

This game just looks kinda trashy graphically though, for a game coming out in 2013/2014. And if it isn't a full o...

It doesn't run at 1080p?!??

Awesome News!! I loved this game. I use to play split screen versus my nephew on PS2. I can't wait for this next gen to begin.

@ShowanW,

Yeah, and it's been reiterated over and over by multiplat devs that the PS4 dev tools are way more mature than Xbone's dev environment right now. So Xbone is playing catchup with the SDKs and even with DX. DirectX 11.2 with it's "Tiled Resources" is them catching up to PS4's APIs which already supported Hardware accelerated Megatextures.

Both systems have an AMD APU that allows it with the Graphics Core Next. PS4 implemente...

Was a huge KI fan, KI2 sucked ass tho. I wasn't impressed with anything shown of this game before, but Chief Thunder's gameplay and combos are more reminiscent of KI. It is shaping up nicer now, though I'm still not totally sold on it. If it does come out to redeem KI from KI2 and live up to the original's awesomeness, then I will be a little jealous, considering I'm not getting Xbone.

LOL @ Reggie having the nerver to say it's more consumer-oriented than it's competitors. It's still too expensive in that case then, and still just an annoyance to consumers. Because 90% of them will have to go buy an external hdd then.

The price will have to drop way more to even try and compete, considering it's not really a next gen console. It is barely 2x the power of 360/PS3. It's not worth the money when you look at the quality of some of their cher...

So, the RE creator is on his own making a new survival horror game that'll prolly kill the next RE. Now the Megaman creator is doing his own thing making a new game that'll prolly be awesome.

All we need now is the SF creators to leave Capcom and make a spiritual successor to SF, without nickel and diming us to death or watering down mechanics to attract a broader casual gaming audience.

Holy Crap! The crazy amounts of individual grass blades and leaves and bushes blowing in the wind was very nice. The environments in this game are jam-packed with nature and all of it is highly interactive. This is definitely next gen.

What's funny about it all is, when people thought the game would be a F2P with no initial cost and just microtransactions to stay afloat - people were still just narrowly interested. Mild interest + subpar visuals + $60 + $15/mo + micro = fail!

I assumed this would be the case.

It's not looking good for Xbox. Even if the cloud ends up being some insane thing that makes up for most of the power gap, PS4 is getting it too.

Sony is working with Rackspace to create scalable Openstack compute servers for them. Which will do basically the same thing Xbone's Azure servers can do. So, that possible cloud power advantage is about to be out the window.

PS4 is working with Rackspace as we speak to create OpenStack compute clouds that can do the same thing Xbone's cloud can do. Then, they also have the Gaikai cloud service for the streaming features we already heard much about. So, PS4 is gonna be hard to keep up with, and impossible for MS to close the power gap with the cloud, when devs will be able to use PS4's cloud servers the same way soon.
