I've supported Bungie for the last decade and it's nice to see that instead of being stubborn, they are welcoming new members to make their team all the better. I personally can't wait to see what this new IP is. It's gonna be big, it's gonna be online, it's gonna be multiplatform, and who knows, maybe even cross-console.
Valve is showing that platform network is irrelevant and all you need is a unified account: Steam. I see other developers going in t...
It's not a big deal though. It let's the developer kick it out the door for manufacturing while they correct any last minute findings.
Had crazy, random network errors as well.
from PSM3:
"At our *review* event everyone played multi-player on PS3 - even the Xbox and multi-platform journalists. Would EA do this if they weren't confident the PS3 version was on a par with the 360, if not the PC?"
They also mentioned they had finished the single player, which is obviously not in the build at GDC. So it seems to still be up in the air.
Well it's tough, because IGN was talking about the GDC demo, and PSM was talking about the review build they have. I'm inclined to give the review build the win here for obvious reasons, but we'll just have to wait and see.
That and from all the GDC videos available, the game looks completely fine... so the joke's on me I guess because none of this fits no matter which way you slice it.
Personally, I don't mind differences I won't noti...
Well then these articles have completely slipped by me and everyone else, as all I've seen in the negative department is from IGN, which has been propagated word for word by other sites who weren't even on site.
I thought people didn't listen to IGN anymore anyways... If people do it's fine, but (speaking to a general audience) you can't flip flop sides for the sake of convenience.
Personally, I still check out their reviews, but the artic...
are based off of the one IGN article that no other website agrees with. Anything is possible, but when there's conflicting reports there's nothing you can do but wait and see. Hopefully the PS3 demo isn't old code, because then at least you will know what it will be like. If it is older code, you kind of just have to throw your hands in the air and wait for the final release and verdict.
Don't people realize these sites are playing off one article just to get ...
is pretty close to final code so we can end the ridiculous performance argument. It looks no different from what I played on 360. Even if it's slightly better or worse, as long as it's negligible to the human eye I couldn't care less. The game is certainly fun and quite a unique combination of existing ideas.
Edit - GameSpot uploaded this video in 720p to their YouTube channel a couple of days ago. The map is still dark so it's hard to truly distinguish the ve...
I don't think I've even ever played a THQ game. Certainly won't rule them out as a publisher though.
Activision, EA, Take-Two, 2K, Rockstar, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo... I can think of games I played from all of these, but none from THQ.
In the smartphone market competitively speaking, and that's just a fact if you think of how much bigger the market is. That said, it's not going to be dead on arrival. I really don't understand the necessity for handhelds, but I suspect it will do much better than its predecessor. Probably not better than the 3DS though, due to the current massive install base Nintendo has.
That's exactly why I only own a PS3 now. I agree with you completely, but 40 million others don't. They're not all wrong; they want what they want, and could care less about exclusives. That's all I'm trying to say here and it's remarkable people don't grasp this concept.
Thanks for finding it. It's not like it's a bad thing anyways, people are quite frankly complete pussies and way too sensitive about game consoles. They've all screwed up time and time again. It's what's made them who they are today.
I'm glad I don't know most of these people in person because they clearly refuse to look at both sides of the coin and deserve a dildo slap to the face or much worse.
end of story.
I'm a PS3 owner converted from 360 (Xbox owner since 2001), and you couldn't be more wrong. Be the bigger person. the taste "your own medicine" stuff is pathetic.
Not to mention, when the PS3 released it was an AWFUL system (acknowledged by Sony themselves as being on "life support") to the point people were convinced it would be the next Dreamcast. The no games argument was never about exclusives, it was that PS3 literally had NO games worth playi...
Mind you I'm loving a lot of the PS3 exclusives this gen. 360 gamers will get along just fine, as they always have. People act like it has no games. It still has everything on the market, minus maybe 5 you can only play on playstation. Not a huge loss for these gamers.
Basically, most gamers just don't care. Like, Mass Effect is no longer exclusive, but it's not like they don't get to play it.
No real debate.
That's the definition of troll. You are raining on everyone else's parade.
Perfectly said. There's literally no way someone could give you a disagree without being mentally insane.
MULTI-PLATFORM GAMES > THAN EXCLUSIVES
This is a FACT and the future of the industry lies with the third party. Some exclusive games are fantastic, but at the end of the day, the devs that are exclusively first party make nowhere near as much cash as third-party, and that's why it will go the way of the dinosaur.
Don't beli...
To be fair, Crytek claimed that a long time ago. For months they have been saying their would be parity on PS3/360, and quite frankly, that's all I'm expecting (and all anyone should ever expect). Never board the hype train.
That said, I'm still looking forward to its release.
Text chat is lame and insulting if that's all it includes between PC/Mac and PS3 owners. Otherwise I think it looks fantastic.
