I'll be picking it up immediately for PS3. Probably the most interesting shooter released in a while from a gameplay standpoint. Call of duty comparisons are retarded. It has perks in MP, so does every other game, and that's where the similarities end.

Played the 360 demo in January and it was a blast, just needed some tweaking and polish. From what I've seen of the PC gameplay from the demo today, it looks like they addressed the complaints (One hit melee seems t...

I know right? It's definitely awesome and anyone saying otherwise hasn't played it at all and is in extreme denial. I was fortunate enough to play the earlier 360 beta/demo and it was awesome, just needed some ironing out. If the console versions play like this PC build, I will be extremely happy.

I know Crysis has had a name for graphics, but at this point I couldn't honestly give two shits about what it looks like. It plays AMAZING.

It's earlier on, but so far this has it for me. And yes, I'm even a PS3 user who isn't a raging fanboy, so eat that.

Back when IW was complete, they always held the option to create a new IP (I've recently learned this from another article). IW always said that they had to push for Modern Warfare, because Activision wanted to stay in WW2. My guess is, IW wanted this to be their baby, and Activision forced them to slap the "Call of Duty" tag on it. Once it was a hit, IW again sought to claim this IP as their own by dropping "Call of Duty" from MW2. Activision screwed them again, and e...

That's what I've been saying. At the end of the day, the flash elements on findmakarov.com are way more professional looking than the average user could come up with for a hoax. Whatever it IS, I'm sure it's something that will happen at GDC.

Modern Warfare isn't a bad franchise at all. It started amazingly strong, and MW2 was actually not bad considering the short-ass development time. Some studios need a bit of extra time to iron out the bugs, and Activi...

and do an analysis then. I hate the guys who post stuff based on a VIDEO analysis. Seriously, a video? How can you tell the resolution from a compressed video? When it's running in real time, we'll talk then. It's very possible that it does run in a lower resolution, but so did the 360 version. Not like I even care. The game looks great regardless and is likely going to be completely awesome.

Not only are you wrong, you had to bring it up anyways. Unbelievable. It's going to be the other way around, sir.

End of story. Last time I checked it was still Call of Duty. This is one comparison where the largest user base wins. We may be hoping for something to change the tides, but as of now, it's CoD.

The PS3 version is fine after all, like I've been saying. This may not be a comparison article, but it seems very positive overall. Haven't the slightest clue why there's such animosity towards Crysis 2, it looks awesome on all fronts.

It's like Half-Life, Halo, Crysis 1, and the good parts of Call of Duty all rolled into one. You'd have to be insane to not be interested in it. INSANE.

Of course an exclusive title will be able to achieve more, its engine is designed specifically for that platform! Crytek has done a great job of creating a heavy-hitter engine that scales properly on 3 different platforms. In this regard, they have utilized each machine to its maximum.

Maximum doesn't mean the MAX either. There are always optimizations that can be done, but Crytek is saying that this time, the game and engine they have created are being utilized 100% by e...

would the Bungie everyone knows do something like this lightly. If it's true, it was at the hands of Craptivision. Don't get me wrong, layoffs happen, but I can't see Bungie being such douches without a forceful nudge. They're a nice bunch over there from what it sounds like. Either the employee is disgruntled, or there was something else going on over there.

With the deal, Bungie gets control over pricing, release schedules, the IP, and pretty much everything...

Most people hack their console to play pirated games offline, and not online. This move by Sony is good for preventing cheating of course, but it also hardly does anything to the majority who just want to get some free/cheap games. Those people haven't had their PS3 hooked up to the internet since installing the hack.

It will work the EXACT same way MS does it, which is done really well. Basically, some of you guys need to come down and stop worrying about what everyone e...

This is of course true, I was merely speaking of things with the Epic brand.

yes, the universe will explode. it's just one review, but it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be better. Epic is a great studio and they've been around for a long time.

@BakedGoods

If you can actually enlighten me with the "point" of Killzone, I will withdraw my prior argument. Needless to say I'm fairly confident whatever you come up with will be inadequate. Not because you're unintelligent or anything, but because Killzone offers NOTHING to the game industry. Absolutely nothing. The game is plain and lame to its core. I can only assume that people like it because it is "pretty" and they have shallow taste, consi...

I own just a PS3 now, and Killzone is NOT as good as you people think, end of damn story. You need to stop whining about double standards that don't exist. The game is GOOD, but doesn't live up to their expectations. Sony has FAR better games out there, I have no idea why people cling to this average, average franchise. It does not hold a candle to any of the hall of fame FPS games.

It has a unique, fun control system, and is dead gorgeous. It has NO substance though....

That's an awfully lame reason not to get it if you actually want it. It was more challenging with the 3 alarm system and I honestly wish they would have kept it.

You can clearly see they used the Xbox/PC versions for the PS3 re-release. The shots of Chaos Theory have dynamic lighting and shadows, which were not present on PS2.

Killzone has some of the most average sound in any game, and you're kidding yourself if you think otherwise. The best sound I've ever heard is in Bad Company 2, and nothing has come CLOSE since its release.

Killzone is good at what it does (Graphics, core gameplay mechanics), end of story. It can't compete in any other way, though. Sound is lacking, story is lacking, characters are lacking. Go through KZ2 again, and if you can honestly tell...
