Errmm Exclusive to the MS platform silly . . . It's like saying if Sony put out Exclusive content for a game that utilised gameplay for the PSP and the PS3 and PS2 . . . It's exclusive to the platform per-se'.
And for Sony, as SOny has openly stated that as far as they are concerned, the days of Exclusive titles being sold are at an end. (do a google to find the comment from Sony).
Watchmen will be only available through DLC as a full game, =both games . . That's through XboxLIVE, PSN and via Steam for PC. There will be additional content for new PS3 games coming that will only be available through PSN, just like XboxLIVE. It's how they both plan on delivering content in the future. <...
I don't think so myself, as that fact was not echoed with GTA:IV, as GTA:IV for the PS# was as complete as the 360 it's just that further content will be made available once it is finished for the 360 and again when the second lot of DLC for GTA:IV is ready next year.
All the games that ship will be "complete and match each other at the time of release. How can they not. But what MS and in some cases SOny are doing, is making sure THEIR customers get a little extra for their...
If you check out the story, there's mention of the new Watchmen which is due out in March - April '09. Two games only available via DLC as Full Games. So that's in excess of 7 gig for each. On average. The developers have said if it doesn't fly as DLC as well as they pan, then they could well bundle both items in a single disc set and sell it as a Special Edition.
Which I'm personally hoping what will happen.
Not everyone in the world has unlimited broadband and that...
Personally I want to keep Disc-based games, as there are several generations that are used to "having something in their hands" to show for the money they spend.
While DLC might be great for some, and it could prove a viable thing in the future, there are many countries outside the US that do not have the broadband that they get so cheaply over there, nor do we have the luxury of so many users, so the advancement of such things is years off for many other countries.
I suppose with each generation mate, as it works and the music industry is simply regurgitated songs anyhow, or a mish-mash of songs from days gone by smashed together to fit into modern times depending on the generation.
90% of it is so sammy that it's almost impossible to tell one artist from the other, both visually and via their songs. Just with less and less cloths and more an more gyrations. Not that I'm complaining, but it's just getting way too close to s.exual acts on st...
Agree 110% mate, I prefer the "normal"woman, not the flashed up ones. They might "look" se-xy, but in fact they often aren't. Beware "The Librarian" . . hidden under those unflattering looks usually hides (lurks)something vastly different than one perceives.
Well actually, I hate the music, it's all the same and the artists in that genre' basically all sound the same . . . So if I go, it'll be for the eye-balling . . and a little about the music - maybe.
Thing is, they are only one of a group of artists that will be appearing, but I'm sure they will attract the crowd and that there will be a heck of a lot of "P.ussycat Doll Look-a-likes" walking around Sydney at the time.
And that can't be a bad thing - can it ...
Yes well, I watched a few vids to see which one to put up, and most wouldn't make it past censors, especially the one with Snoop and the PCDolls.
Scary stuff, but we'll see about sending some of the team to err . . check out the MUSIC when they are here.
Actually mate, they have/had Crysis running on the 360, and have done for some time, there is even video comparisons out there (google it) showing the diff between the DivX10 and the DivX9 (9.5) and both games run smoothly and look the treat.
SO for $350 for a console and a major influx of $$ to get your PC up to scratch to run Crysis, I'd know which one I'd pick, as it's the GAMEPLAY in the end, not how shinny or good it looks.
I'm looking forward to two things . The day I get my PC Gaming rig, and 2, when Crytek release their games commercially on the console/s.
We all know that they have playable code for the 360 of Crysis (1st one) and most likely have this on the 360 hardware as well. They have come out and stated they will be going Multiplatform now,and in all honestly, not many PC centric game developers can afford not to these days with dwindling sales (in comparison to console attachment rates e...
Brothers In Arms is much more my style and has a great appeal to me. I prefer my shooters with some brains attached rather than none and running around blindly shooting everything that moves, or doesn't - as the case may be.
Always knew this would be an "average" game, ever since shots started to appear of it, "something" always looked "wrong" with it. As if the characters sort of 'sat' on the scenery or something. Like they didn't belong there. Two distinctly different art styles between the characters and the background and environments.
And no real change in gameplay. I like shooters, but not this one. Not a game I'll be buying until it's in the "bargain bin"...
Yes that's true, but at least you have a government that is pro-active in looking at how to go about having things changed, like the recent report done in the UK (forget the name of it now, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about?)
While they (AUst Gov) have said they want to have a "public debate" on the matter, little has been done or even mentioned. It's like saying one thing to appease the gamers, then simply not doing anything. It's stupid that they do not use...
Yes, damn silly screen and way of doing it really. I had 3 screens open with one fro the countdown, one for the Dusts, and one for the Keep It Clean, but the news came on their main front page after the timer shut down, and the counter page just said Rebooting . . dumb if you ask me.
go to our site and there are a few assessments on the video, perhaps you may have another ?
Two staff give their opinions on the video.
I was hoping for a new game not a stand-alone expansion pack for Halo 3.
We're discussing the video so if you feel moved, they may be some guys on our forums still up here (it's almost 2am here in Australia atm btw).
So I'm heading to that big fluffy thing in the other room I hear they call a bed, I think it's called that ???
Thanks to those who followed our efforts, and I like many of you am disappointed that all that fuss was over a bloody expansion p...
Many don't realise that when the developer has to re-submit, it costs them a further 10 - 20k to do so, on top of their initial classification fee. So if their local profit margin is small they look at the numbers of possible sales, and then make a choice to re edit (costs $$$$) and then re-submit ( costs more $$$$) and then hopefully get passed, and then hopefully sell enough locally to pay for the above.
It's a silly state of affairs actually. Australia already has a valid R18+...
To be really honest, I'm sick and tired of the OLFC's approach to gaming in Australia. One minute they pass Ninja Gaiden II with dismemberment and gore, the next the stop Fallout 3 because of the fact they use Morphine as a pain killer in the game, but allow Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway to go through with a MA15+, yet it has dismemberment in SLOW MOTION as well as audio from the the troops that are injured or maimed.
No consistency whatsoever. So how are parents supposed to kn...
No, developers are seeingf a shift in purchasing power, and need to change tacktics to fit in with that before it occures, rather than after it occures. if they don't, they face going down the tube really quickly.
It's really easy for you and many others to scoff at what a major company might do, but you do not have the pleasure of knowing what is driving them to make these choice, none of us do. But from reading many plans on how these companies do work, and the every changing s...
