Did you read the supportive links mate . .no . .didn't think so.

Many companies build games on the QT and for good reasons. AC is a trilogy and they are working on both 2 and 3 will follow after 2. It's the same with GRAW and Rainbow Six's new titles. No real news out there that the "general" gamer knows about, but they have said they are working on them, and they began prior to shipping the last instalements. It is how the industry works.

Close to 6 months on and off, with a solid 4 weeks work over the last month and a bit, with upwards of 12 hours a day at times.

I spent 5 hours on it prior to releasing it last night, just getting the link-backs and indexing correct so that ppl could navigate around the list and each page.

I hate it when some people (who shall remain nameless) say it's terrible or anyone could throw a list together. No they couldn't, and they are welcome to try.

Every ga...

Ahh, the wonders of the internet, "leaked videos" . .one wonders if they are really "leaked" or let out on purpose to attract attention . .?

Well Halo Wars is not scheduled for 1st Qtr of '09, so that will most likely be around March/April, and Halo Chronicles will probably be later on in the year ('09). Then we have Bungie's hidden secret game and the possibility that Gearbox are or could be playing with the Halo Franchise at some stage.

Personally I'm over it (Halo) . . I felt it was/is over rated as it is, and while it was the first real FPS on consoles as such, it certainly isn't the huge technological mastermind...

What I hate though is when some ppl see such things as this and then pan (bag-diss) the game even though it's CONCEPTUAL at that stage. Saying such stuff as "oh just as well, it looks the pits" . ."The graphics are so "last=-gen" etc . when they are clearly "prototypes and test art and screens to work a system out.

The weapons look great, especially the huge Energy Staffs, and the Aardvark vehicle looks much better than the current Halo vehicles.

There is talk of it still being made, but not by Ensemble. MS won't let Halo die as it's one of the biggest bread-winners for the platform.

Peter Jackson has TWO projects dealing with Halo, one we know of is Halo Chronicles, the other he's been very secretive of but he has recently advertized for jobs at the NZ studios.

So "perhaps" he may well have picked it up . .? Or his is another Halo item altogether, whichis highly possible.

I agree, it's fine for those countries that don't have censorship issues, but for those of us that do, any form of bad press certainly does not help our cause in sending the correct message to the GP (general public) who still see games as kids play . .In the US, the average age of a gamer is now 33yrs old, not 13.

I'd love it if they would consider a debate on the issue (R18+) on the program with some 'sensible' people in the audience that knew about games and some on the panel that had mixed views but had some history about the industry.

It would go a long way to telling the real story behind censorship in Australia and what the general public perceives is bad, when in fact it's not, and no different to any written work or TV show for that matter.

Perhaps it's a Q? that shoul...

When you check out the actual video, there were some bench members wiling to take the approach of having a better system, but the majorioty just didn't know.

Now if the audience member had of approached it in the vein that Fallout 3 offers one choices, and based on those choices, ones life changes accordingly.

Muck up growing up, get into gangs, fight, shoot etc, and suffer the consequences. Or on the other hand, do things normally (within societies rules) and see wh...

When you DL something, you in effect are pirating the item from the servers of those who originally stole the goods.

In law, "receiving is considered a HIGHER crime than stealing. The fact being, that is there was no call for the items/goods, (the receiver) then the crime would not happen, or be less than what it is.

SO either way you look at it mate, those that download are as equally at fault as those who initially steal the goods. There is no "get-out-of...

Quite true, but for every negative comment, there's an alternative.

Parents DO need to take more active involement with their kids "these" days, as it's not like it was even 5-7 years ago. So we have 2 generations of kids growing up with technology that is far in advance of what used to be available several years ago.

SO that doesn't take the responsibility away from parents, I know, I'm one. On the other side, laws need to be in place to make those that do...

No there aren't, in fact, they are somewhat leient in many cases.

Just go and check out fines for piracy on a movie for one case or the cost on a company or person who copies movies and "distributes" them. They are in excess of $US300,000 and more in many cases.

Fines or better still, penalties, as fines sounds too soft, are what is within the limit of the law. The law is there to discourage people from doing it again, and again. If it was a few thousand $,...

Personally I despise piracy, especially within the game industry. So many think that it's Ok to just copy a game and use it, share it around, and be proud of doing so by bragging to everyone and anyone that they do it.

Sooner or later, those that do it constantly, and on a large volume, will get caught. Theft is theft, no matter how you coat or colour it. While is disapprove of the huge fines for the mums of the world that might have been unwittingly pushed into it by demanding c...

It;s great to see a government getting behind developers. Canada is by far the best government as far as helping developers. Their tax breaks exceed every other country, and if worked in the correct fashion, a developer can get tax breaks of up to 40% of the cost of a game.

While countries like the UK, Australia etc get no tax breaks whatsoever for gaming, yet do in film and TV. Making it almost impossible to make any sort of profit from the games they produce.

It's ...

Why . .? What if a decent "conversation" system was introduced, it wouldn't be that difficult now that we have technology that expands beyond just type, Voice chat could definitely be a way to expand it, so long as there were abilities to mute and screen naturally.

While agree it has been the home for MMO's (the PC) and rightly so, as consoles just have not had the ability to do a MMO justice, that doesn't mean future abilities will not allow it to enter the world of t...

When doing this for our writer (adding the pics and layout), I found evidence that Silicon Knights ARE in fact working on 2 new titles with the Ontario Government scheme which have put up $CAN10 Million for them to develop games in Ontario Canada.

This is OUTSIDE of their Too Human development, which is still going ahead with the other two iterations for the trilogy. Studios CAN and do build or work on more than one title at a time. They simply have separate teams working on them...

There is something "similar" out there that was only re-released recently called "space" . . where it uses Apple's TimeLine and Spotlight (used extensively in Leopard) which is the idea of virtual pages and moving things around the screen in 3D to create a web browsing experience with PAGES which has a backward timeline on ALL your movements within the browser/OS.

Space looks really good, and if Exit-Reality is anything like how they did it, they will take us...

Mate, that's what I mean about 'certain' gamers. They are quick to bad mouth something, but never actually discuss what irt is that is going wrong, nor do they offer their feedback to a developer in order for them to rectify it.

A developer can only run their goods on so many test units, they can NEVER emulate the huge influx of unpredictable circumstances on the net with so many different configurations on millions of computers.

Unless ppl give feedback to a develop...
