Thanks, our writers try to approach things differently, and we just don't pop things up for the sake of it. We ask all the writers to look outside the box and try something new or at least come from a different perspective.
BUt then again, it's amazing how many readers complain no matter which way a site may do things hehehe.
ahh , thanks mate .I do prefer my SP experience in games .. I suppose I grew up playing games by myself, and it has sort of rubbed off. Whereas many younger gamers don't even like the SP side of games and only live for the online side with screaming players from the other side of the globe
Which to tell you the truth, I can do with out as it spoils the game imo.
How about those who simply want to run the game on SP mode, not Co-Op . . . . wouldn't this hurt the gameplay ??
I too was a bit mehh about the game to start with, but now, reading this, and hopefully giving the demo a play this afternoon (yes, it's Sunday afternoon here in Aust) I think this game will end up on my ever growing "must-have-game-list" ; which in todays world, just never seems to stop growing.
ANY gamer who complains about not having enough games to play, or not having a decent choice is basically very one-eyed or down t=right spoilt. We've never had a better time in ...
It's more a "joke" read the screen shot and the wording under the pic . . it's a "pun" on ads in games over loading bars and cutscenes etc.
If you check all the captions out, they are not 'serious' remarks . . simply light humour . . .
The 3 pics of "graphics over gameplay" show 3 great games graphically . . . games we'd all like to see, be that PC (far Cry in the middle) Gears Of War 2 on 360 (far left) and MGS4 on the PS3 (on right) . ...
As I'm playing FC2 ATM, i'm finding that achievements don't comet hat easy in the SP mode, which is FINE by me. I want to feel like I've earned them, not "given" then for doing something clutssy or stupid.
Sure there are the oddities here and there, but not like 'some' games that simply reward you for the sake of rewards. One of my BIGGEST Huge Pet-Peeves which i would have thought would be in there is making so many games that reward you for insane online and MP achiev...
I was wondering that, seeing how much attention it WAS getting prior to release.
Like the second coming of Christ or something . .Everyone sayingit will blow every other game out of the water and leave them quivering in its wake . . hmm. . .
Seems like a brilliant game, but not many are running with it . . ? Strange one, or just strange gamers.
Seeing thatthere is really only ONE choice, there were several games I wante din there.
Mirror's Edge for it's brilliant use of colour, style and original gameplay with a FPP style of parkour running. Not about guns and blazing through things, or about stopping and fighting. It's about getting the job (delivery) done in the fastest time possible without actually hurting anyone - if possible.
SO it will appeal to those who rise to THAT challenge, rather than gunplay f...
My money is on Far Cry 2 this year .. the graphics, gameplay, involvement, longivety, details not to mention the excellent Map Editor. There's no real predicability about the game per-se', as there are times things will occur you simply not ready for, even when you're over 50% through the game.
And anyone that tells you they have done the game in less than 10 hrs is really having you on - big time.
Well I defintely do not want it in the East with Ninja's, but somewhere logical for the story would be best . . .France would make sense, as there's another game based around similar things called "the Crossing" using the Assassin's of the past flickering between two world (very much like AC.
It's set in a similar period in France both in modern day and around the late 1700's early 1800 I think.
Both consoles are capable of excellent graphics, if developers do their job right that is.
With Assassin's Creed 2, we are sure to see that level lifted. Don't think that because the first game (any game) looked great, that better graphics would not be capable unless a better machine came along. That's rubbish from the start, and single minded fanboi thinking.
As they get used to the systems, they find ways to exploit what they HAVE,not what they do NOT have. The ste...
Well the Game To End All Wars is taking us back to the time of WWI, which will test many gamers paitence and skills. No automatic guns or indistructable tanks. Tanks were nothing more than trucks with sheet metal attached to the sides in many cases, those that were specifically built were slow, cumbersome, had poor range and were death traps.
70% of casualties came from friendly and axis fire, and more than half were from bayonettes, not gut fire in close combat situations.

Ask any developer straight to their face, not via some 3rd, party "a friend of a friend said" thing, and they will tell you it has nothing to do with Blu-Ray or the capacity of the Blu-Ray disc. In fact, many find it a hinderance, not a blessing.
It also isn't about SIZE of anything really, as explained by Clint Hockings from Far Cry 2 when I interviewed him, which made the game for PC, PS3 and 360. It comes down to one major thing.
Becoming tech-smart wit...
We can definitely do without ANY bloody ninja's in Assassin's Creed. The storyline doesn't even warrant it. The only thing that does is gamers wanting mindless hack-n-slash games with no real purpose other than fighting Big Boss Battles and combos for points etc. Get a life.
It has been interesting though. A study was conducted by some ppl on who plays/played AC and who liked it V's who didn't.
It seems there's two distinct age groups. Those UNDER 18-20 found the gam...
What a load of onesided rubbish ..
If DVD9 was maxed out, how come Far Cry 2 is such a leap forward on the format, with still room to spare and with more memory to spare.
I spoke to the producers and creative directors of Far Cry 2 and they said there's still heaps of un-tapped abilities on the DVD9 format they haven't even looked at. This helps them keep the cost of thegames down andthe quality up.
I've played heaps of FC 2 so far, built some amazing ma...
It's based around believable historic events, not fictional monsters and big-boss fights mate. If you want that, grab Ninja Gaiden II.
Please explain mate?
Assassin's creed delivered what it said it would. It's a story based on the theory of genetics and how the past plays a part in the current times and visa-versa.
The whole thing will run over many centuries and include several iterations. It certainly wasn't made as a once-off production, that's for sure.
Yes, but FC2 is a great deal different to Banjo Kazooie - "I think?"
Can't really comment one way - or the other. As believe it - or not. I'm just not "in to" those games anymore. You don't NEED to be play old school games or the modern day equivalent to be a gamer. So long as you put time, energy and effort into the genre's you do like, then that's fine.
That said, it's still not a game that would attract me . . .
one thing some are forgetting is, that RE has to now fit in with stricter censorship laws in some countries, and so, not wanting to haveto go back and redo a game for one region or two, they have hopefully come to a reasonable balance between the two.
What would you rather have, NO game, or a game that still gave you the suspense it needs to, the urgency needed as well as the sense of desperation of surviving the onslaught of the masses.
I know which one I'd choose ...
