yep, that's about what I'd say as well . . . I would have called it The Scorpion myself, but hey, The Emperor sounds decent enough to fit into both commercial and home applications as well as business.

I'd hope it came bundled with the OS of choice and 10 AAA title games of your choice, it'd want to for min $AU44k

Now if NovelQuest would offer to fly us over there and allow us a test run, we'd gladly do a full Hands-On for them for all the publications - cough hint ...

You have to admit, no matter what side of the fence you sit on, or if you're simply a fence-sitter, this would HAVE to be THE best rig possible . . .yes, you'd nbeed a special room, but hey, if you had the $$'s to afford it, then you'd have the room and home to go with it.

There's not an adjustment that hasn't been thought of, and by looking at the site (NovelQuest) you'll see it has been endorsed by several ergonomic groups and such. Which is a high recommendation in its self.

Love it, I'll take it to bed and sleep with it mate . . . it's not getting out of my sight for one minute.

But in all seriousness, good flight sticks are the making of flight games. Even six-axis style pads are of little use really, and the joy-pad such as the 360's normal controller is "okay" . .

I 'tweaked' mine so that I have more X and Y movement by opening up the hole in the top section of the pad, works a treat with flight and driving games.

It's great that this has been confirmed for release alongside H.A.W.X from Ubisoft. Plus with IL-2 Strumovik: Birds Of Prey. I'm so hanging for a good flight stick for the 360 . . . so glad this is coming and at a decent price as well.

I'm with you on that as well DM, but if doen right, it could prove viable. But then again, how often do movie studios really care about games per-se'. As one developer said when discussing a release and development of a game they were working on.

The Movies studio simply told them we don't care what the game's like, just have it ready for the movies release, or no payment.!

So that was simple - wasn't it.

However, like some game publishing houses, there...

SOny's head CEO Stinger said that their main ambition and aim for 2009 is to raise their level of profitability . . . and dropping prices by any margin does not allow that to happen, no matter what platform it is on.

Even if the PS2 is doing well, it will come to an end sooner or later. Which isn't a bad thing, but an inevitable one. That level of the industry need competition, and Zeebo could be the one to give it to them, as no discs are involved, no piracy, and pre-loaded game...

Yes, the CEO said that is one of the main areas they hope to combat by having it as an online/3G/system only. No discs, and only DLC.

Plus the games are great as far as titles goe.And they say a full 51 titles will be available by end of 2009. All of which means great things for the average gamer who simply wants cheaper, fuss-free gaming. So more power to them I say.

I know that there's a solid demand for HDTV and such in Brazil, we get a heap of ppl visiting our si...

Correct, and in those countries where the PS2 and other such consoles are strong.

Gamers in major regions have to remember that they are small fry when it comes to the number wanting to play games from regions such as Brazil, India and the like. Who can only afford small units and if they can have multiple purposes such as 3G networking and other delivery systems not requiring huge systems, and cheap online costs, then it will succeed . .

The world does NOT revolve a...

True, (jk) but it's not aimed at huge HD delivery, nor heavy price =
hitting appliances. It's aim is "normal" general TV sets, and a variety of wireless and 3G networks with pre-loaded games that are optimized for the system.

SO the system doesn't need to be some muscle bound freak of gigantiun proportions. Just something that will deliver fun, entertaining games to the mass market in those areas that HD is a pure luxury only available to around 10% or less of the...

Judging from the views we get from Brazil, there's a HUGE gaming market there, this could well go down just fine. Then, if it's successful there, it could migrate to places like India etc, where lower priced and lower speced systems would fit right in. Even Japan would find it interesting if tied in with smaller games in their marketplace.

Look at the Dreamcast, which only just had the last game and systems made available in 2008. Showing that there's a decent market there for s...

WHy would it be? Simply because it's not HD or super powerful. Look at the Wii. It fits a demographic that is prime for SD TV, low dollar entertainment systems and simple connectivity in the no-hardcore gamer household. ie the casual gamer market.

Which by the way is exploding. The Phantom was way too early, this could well be right on the mark time wise.

If you 'read' the interview from John Rizzo the CEO, you can see clearly it's not aimed at MS or Sony, but at the casual, SD market which is still a HUGE!!! market in many parts of the world where HDTV is not available and also not such a big thing.

I think it has a market also outside Brazil, and it could do well if marketed properly. Seeing it has 12 companies behind it, and several 3G network groups, it could just do quite well actually.

It would also keep the &qu...

It did seem to engage the writer and his family though, so I suppose it has some qualities for those who have never really played it before (younger gamers).

But for those who have grown up with him (Sonic) it is getting rather long in the tooth.

The Crime Scene game (Triple A Shooter) seems like it will be a "shooter based around a FPP (first person perspective) rather than any other viewpoint. Possibly a cross between TPP and FPP such as Rainbow Six etc.

As the emphasis is being placed on the game being a "Shooter" . .not an adventure game. If it is tied together with a solid stealth mode, some great puzzel-solving sets, and a good FPP gameplay, it could open up the genre' rather nicely.

I think it's great any developer is working on one new IP, let alone 3 new IP's . . .

Possession is still "in development" as are many games. Just because we don't hear about them ALL, doesn't mean they are not around or being made, it simply means, we haven't been hearing about them.

If you check out our 360 games listing ( http://oxcgn.com/x360-game-... which I'm currently adding more games to btw, you'll see a HUGE amount of games that are still under construction, some are still a f...

Oh dear, a sensible person . . . Yes, it would be great to see this game come about and also appear on all platforms. From the looks of it, it could prove to be a decent game given it's makers.

Well it's appeared on several other major sites as a PS3, PC and 360 title, with the most recent news coming out mid-late Dec 08.

Plus it's not the first time any dev studio has not mentioned its full involvement with a game being developed and not mentioned all platforms, cough Assassin's Creed cough. Ubi and Epic have done it several times, as have many others, only to at the last minute say. Oh yeah, and btw, it's also coming out on the (whatever platform), did we forget to me...

WHile I will agree some games just never make the light of day, we have to give the developers kudos for giving it a shot in the first place.

Plus many a game has gone 'quite' for a few years, only to pop back up ion the grid just several months prior to release, and been a smash. We need to start looking outside our own four walls and seeing what "could" be, rather than what isn't there, even in early builds of games.

Otherwise we'll be the ones suffering ...

Wow, some really valid comments there Shany old boy . . . care to elaborate . . or is that the extent of your vocabulary.

It's a post apocalyptical event, set in Russia, with both above and below ground senarios. Plays a lot like Fallout 3, BioShock and Left4Dead.

All 3 great games, and looking at the intensity of the attacks, will certainly have the adrenaline running hard when in combat. So what's not to like . . . ?

I hate ppl who simply say, nah, lo...
