Even if you rent this, you need togive it a go, seriously. I 'hate' fight games, couldn't get my head around Fight Night 3, but this was great . . with a capital G

It does, big time. Like I said, even a veteran UFC fighter there on the night had heaps of fun and said the combinations of boxing, kicks and grappling all worked really well and he was very very surprised at the result. So much so he loved playing the game on the night.

Now you can NOT get a better recommendation than that. And that was an honest response, not a PR response with PR handler in-tow. Just a quite chat over a beer during the night.

This game is seriously going to make ppl stand up and go . . shhhittteee . . .

I hate fight games, but it had me hook-line-n-sinker on the night, and even one of the real world UFC guys that was there (Australian Corky) was worried the mechanics would be terrible. He was amazed and even got beaten by a fellow media guy.

No joy on the Joysticks mate, won't be here until late April or even May or June.

Australia's required amount is small so we end up on the very end of a long line when it comes to gear like that. As sales are not huge, so manufacturers tend not to want to spend big money sending gear here, or local wholesalers can't get the return for their investment.

Simple supply and demand thing unfortunately. Yes. many would love one, but a hundred ppl wanting one doesn't make ...

Well thanks mate, we've had fun, which is the main thing. be it with the Killzone day, or the Street Fighter Media night (article to come tomorrow on that) or the excellent Hands-On day with Resi 5 earlier in the month or the excellent Red Faction: Guerilla and UFC Undisputed events we were asked to attend. Some excellent fun with the guys from Sony Playstation Mag, and many others.

There were many others, and while some thing because we are a Xbox Community site, we should "...

I know of a few which can't be mentioned that ppl are going to love, plus a few new IP's that show a grewat deal of promise. SO each year gamers get a better deal than the previous year.

Although, judging by some of the disgruntled gamers about these days, games need to be 9 and above to even be considered good, let alone excellent. Come on ppl, games are meant to be played, and we need to start looking at the ones that are not slated at 9 and above.

You're doing yo...

yeah, wasn't too bad actually, and most associate this period with games being slow off the mark or none about.

There has been an abundance of games and events for every platform during the first quarter of 2009, and you should see what is in store for the rest of the year . . . shheezzzes . .

Same here, I was really looking forward to it as well. The hype from the developers was great, but It seems like it hasn't delivered where it matters the most, gameplay.

I suppose it could change depending on how one gets used to the controls, especially if they are used to one style of console RTS style, then another developer puts up another way of doing things.

Bit like those used to Resi evil controls, and those new to it but used to other third person shooter w...

We do our best at trying to present both sides of a story, no matter what . .if that means burning MS, we will, you should know that already. It's just that many fanboise read what they want to read, and forget about the bits inbetween.

MS and SOny are as bad as each other. We have no LOVE for MS per-se, we simply chose the 360 as a platform of choice due to whatever reasons.

As you may know, we (80%) of us have PS3's, Wii's and PC/Macs . . .As see ourselves as gamer...

Which is paying for "exclusivity" which part of that do you not understand . . . oh, all of it - sorry, my mistake.

6220d ago 4 agree7 disagreeView comment

Exactly mate . . someone said why don't we stick to Xbox as we are a Xbox Community site.

Well yes, we are a "community site" but we are NOT an Xbox owned site, and to tell you the truth, getting any form of $$ asistance from MS is like dragging teeth from a chook . .impossible, same goes for Sony and Niffty. We get 110% more support, products and assistance from 3rd party developers and publishers than we do from MS.

They really care very little for the ga...

I think you'll find he's speaking form a professional point of view and obviously has some financial background in marketing etc . ..So he'd know what he was talking about, much more than I would.

So what if you do not like what he has to say, he's entitled to it, just like anyone is. It's just when ppl start saying that one company is allowed to buy exclusive rights, and bag another when it does so . .

That's is called "blind faith" . . . and a "bl...

Yep, correct . . bubbles to you again. Most will split hairs over words, but in the end, companies need to make money, funny that . . and that means paying for things so that the competition can not benefit from it at some stage. It's why a company will tie up a hardware manafacturer to supply them the plasma screens for their brands, and not other brands, when they could be fitted to anything.

Again, buy exclusive rights over product, irrespective of what the product it, it's pr...

Oh dear lordy:

By saying "buying exclusives" it means - buying the exclusive "rights" to publish the game in its entirity . .so that no other publisher can do so, or has any rights over it.

If it was OWNED by a publishing house, then that would be a First Party in-house game . . . Like say when Codies make a game AND publish it also. Rather than making it and having Atari publish it.

Just do a little background checking on what "...

Mate, I'm NOT having a go at you, just explaining why OXCGN does what it does:-

OXCGN supplies news about the gaming indusrty where it sees that it makes an impact on the industry, be it PC, PS3/SOny Wii/Nintendo. We'll do reviews and Impressions of PC, PS3 and Wii games as we are GAMERS, not biased fanbois.

It's why we have moved up the charts so well. We have many Sony fans coming to the site because of that, and many passing comments supporting our efforts to be t...

Well then how come when MS do it it's called "Buying Exclusives" and when Sony do it, it's simply called being generious and offering Incentives . . .

It is what it is, paying for exclusives, no matter what the game pr way of delivery. Even back in Phil Harrison's time sony did NOT listen to him when he pleeded with them to go online, or to pay for exclusive content. He was told bluntly the Sony doesn't "need" to do that, MS will get nowhere.

Oh the irony, now when MS does the very same thing, and helps Indie developers it's called outragious, buying exclusives and profiteering off game developers . . .

So what is exactly the difference between them - nothing.

Sure, these companies need to help the developers, as times are hard and they are suffering. But let's not call a spade a golden shovel when it's still just a spade after all.

I'm not supporting either, as both are as bad as each other. ...
