David Always does a great BlogBanter every month or two . .so do slip over and check it out.
If possible, and if you've not had the opportunity to play the first game, grab it and give it a whirl, you WILL be impressed. It's like BLACK . a very underated game on the 1st-gen Xbox.
And Black is back btw, Probably a late 09 release as I predicted a year or so ago . . . with the third iteration following 18 months later in early 2011 or even late 2010.
An excellent game, and had better graphics and damage modeling and many other things than any of the initial xb...
Not at the moment, the official website doesn't have any info on it yet . . I'm just putting together a Website walkthrough which looks cool actually.
Yes, and you watch the ppl jump up and down and complain aboutit as well. Heck, if they had to manage over a few million ppl all trying to play a game at once, they'd have some sizable headaches s well.
SO please be forgiving guys when release day comes along. They can only do their best you know.
Beside, taking the time to run through Single Player mode a few times would sharpen your skills, rather than going online straight off the bat and being crushed by those th...
Yes, been following this since the beginning actually. And all those naysayers will have to eat their hats by the looks of it. The game footage is excellent, check the Hunting video out.
Well thankfully I already have the Legendary Edition of Halo 3, so all I need is the LE of Halo Wars ..
It's terrible having things you collect, every time you miss one you heart sinks a little deeper .. .
If this ships with bothgames onthe one disc, then the naysers of DVD9 will need to think again about modern games fitting on a single disc.
Many a game that has come out initially would not fit on a single DVD9, yet, through continued progress and technical advancements, developers are able to do more, ,with less.
Making games even better, with less memory and smaller footprints, allowing greater scope for gamers.
SO it will be interesting to see if both...
It does look good doesn't it, especially the gameplay, which is the important part naturally. The duel blades are quite savage when used in close quarters, and with quite a bit of stealth involved in it, it will make up for not Splinter Cell for a while . .
According to Atari Aust, it's 15th May 09. So still some while off,but not that far really. It's looking mighty fine already, especially in-game.
• Silent Hill: Homecoming is due on the 13th Mrch
• Afro Samuari on 27th March with
• Battlestaions Pacific on 24th April
• Damnation on 1st May
• Fuel in May, but not set date atm.
Hope that helps some re game arrivals from Atari (NB: Dates are for Australian releases)
I'm beginning to like this game more and more every time I see it. The original was excellent, this looks like it will kickbutt . . The new video released today from Atari shows excellent in-game action and suspense . . we hope to be having a decent hands-on with this in the very near future.
That's great, but what can we say other than what we experienced with the final code, and what the developer tells us and the rest of the users at the release day tell us. Many ardent KZ fans.
All but a few made comments about the aiming. Not that it's a huge issue mind you . . . as each person does experience things differently.
Which is what I'm trying to point out.
That while you may well believe there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, as that is ...
If you check the other pic out in the article, it shows the costume off a great deal better, and it did look much better in real life than it does in pics here.
Plus that gun is really heavy, and holding that up for a few hours sure would drain anyone . . .
And it's nice to know that the Aussies will have the game a full 24 hours before the rest of the world . . As Steve from Guerrilla Games said, "...at least you guys will be on top of the world leaderboards before everyone else . . ."
AUstralia often gets some worldwide releases before everyone else. Well, in fact, New Zealand gets them FIRST, then us 2 hours later.
I think those who are not used to a style of FPS control, such as casual users, would take to most controls . . . as do kids, as they have no predetermined mindset on how something should, or should not work, and are able to adapt very easily.
Whereas adults, especially those who have been plying for many many years on certain system or certain control styles find it exceptionally hard to change, or even want to change.
Thing is, developers ARE changing the control ...
Oh look, an unapproachable sony fanboi . . .
He never said he didn't like it, in facthe can't wait to get it, and if you've only played the demo, then wait until you play the REAL came come release.
Even the ardent PS3 players on the day were saying the controls were a bit "off" in many ways, and the HOLD zoom on the finished game is less than favourable, and the Auot-aim (which IS in KIillzone 2) is exceptionally painful at times when trying to both Zoom,...
I did see quite a few ppl having difficulty with the Hold=zoom end trying to manouver and shoot etc. Plus if you do up the sensitivity, you'll be in a world of trouble. Even GrathiusXR who is a solid FPS online player in comps had to drop the sensitivity to BELOW 50% in order to get more control. Even then it was quick, but took some getting used to. AT full tilt, the sensitivity would be insaine and uncontronlable.
Those that did do well, after some time, turned the Hold=zoom of...
Not enough mate. That gun was ultra heavy, seriously heavy, and he/she stood for a solid 2.5 hrs, not resting or sitting anywhere, and relatively motionless most of the time. Apparently they couldn't see out the googles and there was a person leading them around.
The suit had a special breathing system to allow cool, fresh air to get it, which actually worked. So I don't think they get paid enough . . .
it was a great mornings entertainment, and before anybody goes off, yes, we are an xbox site, but we are "gamers" and love games . . we simply choose the xbox as our platform of choice. But that does not stop us from enjoying what gaming has to offer.
Great game, excellent day.
So stay tuned for the full review of the game once it is released, and a little note to Aussie readers, you get the game a full ONE day earlier than the rest of the world, so kudos t...
Wait until you see Stormrise - you have seen Stormrise haven't you???
SEGA are publishing it and we've had video and inf o from them on it and it looks amazing. And from a different perspective this time for a RTS.
I think with Halo Wars and Stormrise, your thoughts on RTS to Console games might well change considerably.
Plus the author isn't "complaining" he's highlighting having or not having a gaming partner . . . PLUS . . . the lack of respect that has now become quite high with the recent generation of gamers, especially since the online gaming boom from 2005 onwards.
Even gamers in their mid to late 20's notice a huge change in gamers attitudes online and off these days. An attitude that alarms even them.
