Heaps of Aussie are going to be pumped to the max now knowing that their beloved local tin-tops will be gracing the world tracks, and ideally having the world over here on some of our fine motorsport tracks.
The games looks so sweet, much better than I thought it would actually. We'll have some hands on time with it soon to report on as well. I'll be inline to pick min eup on release night, that is For-Sure!!
Probably, but hey, those sorts of things don't bother me one bit. Whatever platform it comes out on first really means little to a real gamer. Only fanboys get all bent out of shape if that concerns them.
The game is what is of prime importance, well it should be to a "gamer".
And this game looks like GOTY material, I know I'll be hunting down the various Collectors and Limited Editions of it, that's for sure. I have a AC1 360 sitting proudly on my entertai...
Loved the first one, yes, it was repeatative, all games are by definition, but if you followed the story, it had you captivated. The same will be said of this by those that hated the first one.
So be it, but this one looks like it will play a great deal better and have more things to do due to the landscape being in and around italy etc.
Bring it on
And it is after all - Modern Warfare, not the older WWII style war game where many were just on rails.
It's why Infinity Ward broke with the whole Call Of Duty thing and have just gone for the Modern Warfare title.
To separate themselves from the basic COD franchise, yet still belong to it.
It also helps them be seen separately to Tryarch as well, they are working on COD;6 right now, and Infinity have a small crew on the next MW (3) . . so you can see a ...
Agree 1100% . .I think it "may"? be a generational thing perhaps . .?
Many younger or even newer fresh gamers seem to want great shootouts, less talk and just all out action.
Where as the X and baby-boomers want the immersion and the detail, and the character involvement . . . so that they feel 'part of the game' more. rather than flying through it to see how quickly they can get it over with, before taking it back to GAME or EB etc within the 7 day repla...
I love the game, and would rather havethe narrative as it is in this one than the previous one actually.
The one before was great, and sections where you were coached through were nice touches. BUt this had me feeling much more involved and part of the gameplay, and I was only watching, not playing the game.
Personally I think it's a huge step in the right direction, not the wrong one.
I have a tendancy to agree with some of the above.
For me, a game need not be the next coming of christ, or 100 steps above the previous one.
It simply needs to deliver ME an experience that is different than some others, and allow me to enjoy myself. Not get bogged down with "hey, this wasn't like this in the other one" or "why is this like this, how dare they change it's style" etc etc.
Change is good, it's ppl that do not change un...
Sing-a-long. These guys created Rock-n-roll more than Elvis . . .
I really didn't think the day would come that I'd say - I want Rock Band.
But that day came yesterday when I saw Ringo STar, Oko Ono, Paul McCartney, George Harrison's son up on stage at E3 supporting the new Beatles Rock Band, with exclusive content for the 360.
Talk about nostalgia rush, brought back some great memories.
SO bring it on. And, not long after release, they'll be offering the complete White album on XboxLIVE as DLC
I can't understand how linera so many ppl are these days. Sheessz
NOt having a go mate, but the IDEA of the technologies is to give developers an IDEA to work with. To go beyond what they can show you in a tech demo, and see what you can create.
You saw how the young chap changed the wheel in the racing game in Natal. Fine, but you can have both the Natal working in some aspects of a game, and the input devices such as a steering wheel and pedals engaded as well. ...
I think you'll find that he's saying thatthe combination of these technologies could basically change the way gamers interact with their games.
Not creating a new world of full 3d movies and the like.
The Wii-mote hack works perfectly, combine that with the full body motion capture, gesture capture, expression capture and voice, face recognition (and more) of Natal, and you have on hell of a development tool that opens up all sorts of possibilities.
You d...
Mate, the possibilities here are endless.
If anyone watched the video of Natal yesterday without bias, and saw what they were doing when playing games and the interactions that the game has with the in game character Milo, then add that to something like say Forza 3, then you WOULD be basically sitting IN the car, with the screen stretcher across the front of you and the wheels in your hands.
Using a combination of Natal, and say the new Fantec Steering wheel for the...
I know many are bagging the Natal Project, but most didn't actually see the demo with the in-game character and the immersivenness that was possible with Natal.
It doesn't mean all games will have to have you waving your hands around, and even can determine that aspect, but giving you the ability to almost walk and talk within the actual game world - well that's nothing short of amazing.
But then, some gamers expect perfection from all things, sadly, hate to inform y...
It's still the same day in the US mate . . it's only 10pm June the 1st in LA . . .
E3 starts proper on 2nd June . .
Errr umm mate, they haven't had their show yet, E3 doesn't start in the US until the 2nd and right now it's 10pm in LA on the 1st June, not the 2nd of June . . We have 4 guys going to it . . .
Personally I don't see what the fuss is about, Game Dev these days HAVE to mix the pack up a little. And like all dev's, what they say initially, never rings true later on. Epic's Oh no, this game will never play on the 360. Or no way, we're not doing a Gears Of War 2, 9 3 months later he's on a podium exhaulting the game which has been in production for 12 months.
Bioware under EA is not different .It will be a shared platform game, and if Sony get it up first, great, it's an ex...
Milo is the character in the game demo mate, not the game or software . . ;-)
Whatching the interaction was something else, and it is all based on the Natal software and technology which will be worked into all the games and home entertainment experience.
SO you can basically walk in a room, your characters on screen will recognise you and thus interact with you.
Tjis is what "Milo" was doing with the lady in the demo . .simply amazing stuff, ...
Just nit-picking hehe It's Forza 3, and here's some images and vids ( http://oxcgn.com/2009/06/02... if you like . . . The Video Creation tools are AMAZING . . and the new Fantec steering wheel and pedals look fantastic.
NOt sure if the are 360 and PC only, think they are, and will be competing against Logitechs lineup.
And I agree, those that complain that this ...
I really dislike those that put down any platform really. You act like spoilt kids that need a stiff kick up the tail end.
These developers spend MILLIONS on getting games to you, creatingnew and innovatoive products - for you. Making your gaming experience better - for you, irrespective of platform.
But are you every happy, no, you wine and complain, and then complain some more.
Be thankful you lib=ve in an age wher ethis is possible. Like the guy in th...
