Partly wrong, it is independent suspension, insofar as it has each corner supported by hydralyics which can be set to various ratings and allow it to traverse any terrain, change its steering to 4x4, 2x4, front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, 4 wheel drive.

The car can have each corner raised or lowered, or front and back can be raised or lowered at will.

While those things would not be possible with a a Fully Independent suspension, and that would not give the car th...

The turret was not the original item, it had to remain in NZ due to customs, as it was not allowed into Australia as it was considered a weapon, and thus would have been confiscated and demolished.

The one you see was made by an Australian company in a week and the assembled on the hog when it got here. The original one looks WAY more formidable than the light aircraft gun that was created for this promotional tour.

MS didn't build the 'Hog, WETA Studios did (who are responsible for LOTR and King Kong), and they built it for the ads that were being made. It would have been a collaborative thing between MS and Weta.

The real gun that is on the hog when it is in NZ cost around $NZ25k, every component was scratch made, so I'd hazard to say around $NZ250 - $300k possibly more, as it was built over 6 weeks, and worked on non-stop by a rotation crew 24/7 for those six weeks. So wages would have be...

Yep, couldn't agree more mate . . but it does show how stupid some can be and even how immature they are when they 'disagree' with something that basically can't be disagreed with, especially when it's a comment based on actual facts . .makes you wonder - doesn't it.

The system is flawed as we know, and open for exploitation - - sadly.

Wait until you see what they have planned for Forza 3 mate - shhheeezzesss . . and OXCGN will be right in there in all the tyre smoke and roaring engines, that's for sure.

One thing MS does and does well, is promote it's games and hardware, plus it supports its 1st & 3rd party game developers with events and promotions.

They believe it getting the games and the product into everyones face, and also getting the gamers involved wherever possible. Something many ot...

Actually, there's another quirky tit-bit about the 'hog.

On the dash, up near the screen, there's a On/Off switch like on the 360 - naturally, . . and the boys at WETA made it show the RROD hehehehe it's a little in-joke, and OXCGN was the first one to spot it and make note of it actually.

The guy from WETA said no one has ever noticed it before, but our intrepid reporter sure did . . . it was kinda- funny taking the micky out of the whole RROD thing . .

Some little bit of trivia for you re the gun.

The actual gun used on the 'hog was unable to be brought into the country due to Customs reasons, as it is classified as a weapon (even though it doesn't work) and therefore would be confiscated and destroyed upon entry.

The gun cost around $NZ25,000 to build, so naturally they (WETA) had to get a Sydney company to make the one you see on the 'hog now for it's Australian promotional tour in a very short period of time, I ...

There was one person that won the opportunity to actually DRIVE the warthog on the evening . .Not drive it then, but at another time.

He's one of only 100 ppl that will have the chance to sit their backsides in the 'hog and actually 'drive it' Under supervison - of course hehehehe.

There was also a ONE OFF Halo 3: ODST Xbox 360 given away on the night all decked out in Halo 3: ODST artwork, certainly looked great, and was a One-of-a-kind item, which will be worth a f...

Agree with you 110% mate . . .you don't see us bagging Sony's big titles, we actually love them, and write about them, shame the 'droids' can't see that and simply enjoy gaming as it's meant to be - for fun, not hate.

Shame you missed it mate, but I'm sure MS will have something again before release, we'll keep you informed. It was on C.ockatoo Island all weekend actually . . . open for any public to come and check out.

Oh look, some sony twit disagreeing on a personal experience report - good god . . I know what I experienced and witnessed, and when you see our vids in the next day or so, you'll see for yourself.

Why disagree on something you know nothing about, only proves a persons irresponsibility and immaturity - Do wake up and simply enjoy gaming instead of being a fanboy please

It's been here in Sydney all weekend and also Friday. It was open to the public all weekend, and may well be heading back to NZ, but not sure yet, It could be left here for further promo stuff prior to the release, not sure, but will efinitely let you all know what's-what, that's for sure.

Sitting in it when it crabs is amazing, it litteraly just crabs sideways . . . has a top speed in it's current high-gear ratios of around 60-80kph and with a smaller diff ratio, could top the 1...

The hog was excellent to drive in (Alex from Weta drove) and the different steering setups were amazing to say the least, It could turn in less space than the original Mini Minor . . and that's saying something.

Excellent night . .

Will have some vids of the Hog in action as well soon.

That's right, if you 'read', you'll see that it is available on both XBLA and PSN . . . so your problem is ?? It's a game, enjoy it.

And how many single player games are there each year, 2 - 3 if that . .

Every other one has MP and is the main driving force, yet only 50% of console users are actually online "actively" . . .

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it would round the game out more for those who don't want to have the hassles with servers, who might be in locations that don't allow a good game over LIVE or PSN, or simply don't want to go online and play, but will have an account ...

Loved the 1st-gen xbox one, this looks keen-as, so will look forward to it arriving on our desk at some stage in the near future.

I can understand the frustration of those in other areas, trouble is, the huge cost for running just one of these makes running several out of the question.

They have tp look at the number of local users and readership, judge where or not it would prove viable, then take it from there.

I do believe that IGN are looking at spre...

Some great physics were in BLACk on the 1st-gen xbox just before the release of the 360.

ANyone that has played will understand the huge amount on environmental interaction and damage and the physics around that from the game.

Plus it was a great game to play.
