while going through these games I could see plenty of potential for the console, irrespective of platform. There's several others that have also gone MIA unfortunately. WHich is quite common with games these days.

SOme simply go into hybernation and pop back on the radar a few years later or simply fade away into the background.

BUt several of them could well be up for a mention at E3 this year, as many of the bookings we have with the various publishers could shed ...

It didn't "tank" but it did fail at what it originally set out to do on its initial release.

J Allard was in charge of the Zune Project from the moment the 360 hit the shelves, actually, around 3-6 weeks before, when the 360 team was split in half. One half going straight to work on the 360's follow-up, the X720, and the other half, lead by J Allard was given the task of getting the Zune of the ground and into ppl's pockets. But it did fail in its first attempt, and wa...

You're kidding me - right?

?? Apple have a HUGE area to gain by stepping "further" into the gamoing arena.

It is second to none with regards to its global acceptance of digital download. There has been talks with EVERY major publisher and their developing studios about games for the Mac and for it becoming a major part in the gaming fraternity. Ubi, EA, THQ and many others are already 'committed' to apple for many iPhone/iPod Touch games and looking further...

The "NEW" iPhone, about to be released soon will put this to shame, and the firmware update for the current ones adds a great deal more features not in the current iPhones or iPod Touches.

The one thing Apple has over its competition is, simplicity and ease of use. Which most seem to forget.

One of the big reasons Japanese love them so is because of that. they are intuitive to use, rather than requiring a guide through them.

MS have a LONG way to go if they think they are going to even come 'close' to iTune, in either digital music or digital downloads of movies or streaming of movies.

Apple have the things sown up tight, and are expanding on it as we speak.

Expect an announcement from Apple in the 'very' near future on its plans for it moving more intou the digital gaming arena as well.

Soul Calibur is almost like game-pron ..a bit over the top in regards to female visuals though, which is to be expected from Japanese developers.

Any chance they can get to show a 'shorts' shot, they'll take it.

Hey mate, didn't youknow that any game that doesn't get an 8 or above is a failure now. . so why waste ttime even playing them if they get below 8. Jk btw.

That seems to be the dumb simplton view on many gamers these days. Games with scores around the 7 mark are still excellent games, A 5 is 'supposed' to represent a middle range game that's on average. Below that it's questionable at best. 7's and 8's are great games, 8-9's are excellent, and 9-10's are well above average (fun...

Personally Ithink DICE's Mirror's Edge should be in there. A greatly underrated game, and an excellent game to test ones wits and speed. Which is what it is designed to do. Not run around killing as many ppl as possible.

Which is what so many complained it wouldn't or couldn't do . . well dah . . they are couriers, not merchs for heavens sake.

I dislike fighting games myself, but found myself quite taken by this. Because it wasn't just about hitting A or B all the time.

There's many ways in which to work the different styles of fighting, and each has its own method for movement. SO in the end, you have to either master one, or get very good at several.

The one thing console manafactures need to do is begin bring in some colour for special bundles. It would not be that more expensive obverall to do a run on a colour that would suit a new game, special edition etc, as they would make it back ten-fold in sales alone.

They did this when the 1st-gen xbox was in it's later years, and they sold MORE of the LE's than they did of the BBB. Which showed them that they were also selling to EXISTING owners, as well as new purchasers . . . ...

You just have to love the Australian Xbox team, they love Bundles just as much as we gamers do here, funny that. Now all I have to do is find a money tree, and I'll be home-n-hosed.

Game stores and rental stores are notorious for getting things like this well and truly WRONG mate. Trust me, we've from the Land Downunder, and many stores simply paste the cover art on the epty boxes and slam them up on the rental shelves to get ppl interested in pre-release bookings.

The number of times even game store, here and overseas get release dates, platforms etc wrong by staffers is - well - we all know that we should NEVER trust a store retailer when it comes to game ...

This is ONE game I'm seriously looking forward to.

I don't have a PS3, but it would be THE game that would make me buy one.

I'll be playing it, when it surfaces, on a friends PS3 . . .

eeerrr yes, that's what I was meaning, she's not embarrassed about it one little (cough cough wouldn't call that little) bit. You have to admit - she does look better than old ballon lips. While she does have a certain animal charm, Alison has it all over her.

The graphics are bit howdy-doody, but hey, that's not what it's about, although, through that at some of the younger console trolls these days and they'll trash it to pieces 'caus it don't look anything like the PS3/360 - dahh . .

Seriously, sometimes you wonder why some are into gaming . . oh yeah, for the LOOKS.

great find, will have to follow this up for our FPS and Shooter series coming out soon. Love these sorts of games.

So long as the gameplay matches their talk, it'll be fine.

Not a lover of the platinum series. It's as if you're getting a secondhand game - buit for a proper retail price . . Just go and grab the retail version in a bargain bin . .?!

Although, I must say I prefer the NEW Lara Croft than the older one . . at least this one is much more agile and willing to show a bit of herself off a little more while doing real acrobatics.

Well, if at first you don't succeed, then try, try and try again . . .

either that, or just give up and become a vegetarian.

I usually don't bother with ppl like yourself, but you have obviously not lived that long as to understand that a huge proportion of the gaming fraternity is over 40 yrs of age and with many in their 60's.

Many running major corporations, or even still just doing what they love, like designing game characters,Game level design or promotions within the industry.

No one is ever tooold to play games, and seeing that the average age for gamers is 30 plus, I think you ne...
