We "recieved" this news on Friday last week, not several months ago, we also have an interview with Plaulogic about the game which will be coming out this week (the interview) on how they have reworked the game for the 360.
We can only submit the news as we get it, and if we like a game, we'll support it.
Games are aloud to be re-done, as we've always seen happen in the past.
And we will continue seeing these things in the future as more and mo...
I'm sorry mate . . . so you're saying, we, as gamers, who just happen to HAVE PS3's and enjoy "games" per-se, should just not write about gaming.
We happen to have a Xbox-centric site. We also happen to have a solid following of Sony supporters that are gamers firstand foremost. Not fanboys.
We write what turns us on. Be that an iPnone game, a PS3 Exclusive, a xbox game that tanks, or a range of games that 'gamers' like playing, like this assortment.

Exactly, way too many want games quickly, yet when a developer delivers, they complain they didn't take long enough . . .
The Tom Clancy Series of Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, etc all ran between 12 - 18 month between each other . . . yet no one complained, because they were interested in playing the games, not complaining about it.
As we got less games a few years ago than we do now. Now we are inundated with games, anyone says otherwise has been living ...
I simply no longer waste bandwidth or time on demos - period.
Years ago, the developers had the time and resources to make decent demos. Often an almost completed chapter of the start of a game.
These days, with uge costs, shorter time spances and having to have the team broken up to create the demo, the demos have just gotten worse, not better.
WHich is understandable in the current climate of faster production, more $$ costs etc. I play no mind to anythin...
I'd rather they take their time with Half Life episode 3 and use a new engine, rather than push it out now with the same engine.
It will be dated and cop far more critisism now from nay who expect more from their games these days from better engines than what runs the first games in the series.
I can see it now, Valve too lazy to build new engine for Half Life 2 Episode 3 . . .Blah blah blah etc etc.
If they need another 6 month, then fine . .but the gam...
I'm having a go at Prototype atm, but looking forward to getting my hands back on this. I did give it around 30 mins initially to see if it would be my type of game, and it was interesting just getting into the game, so it looks like this will be another game I'll be investing some time into.
Damn you developers, making way too many great games, with not enough time in a year to play them properly.
If you check out Bionic Commando's official website out, they have g...
Be interesting to see what ppl's comments are now after Valve's honest approach to the game now . .still, not everyone is happy, they simply like to complain all the time . .
I want GT5 when it fronts (late 2009?? or 2010! - whatever) as well as Heavy Rain. I'd say grab PGR3 if you enjoy semi arcade racing, as PGR4 went heavily that way, and turned me off it, even though I have over 500 hrs on PGR3.
Sadly Bizarre Creations has gone sour, and created what can only be termed as an abomination of a game - Blurr. Wait until you 'play" it (which OXCGN has at E3) and you'll understand what I'm saying - pphheeeeewww)
Good god mate, can't you understand that it's even a dig at MS platform . . Sure, we'd love the game, hence we'd "love to steal it" (get it?!) . . but are we . . of course not.
Not everything written needs to be taken in the literal sense like SO many of you seem to do these days.
Those that don't understand where the site is coming from, and why we do these things. We're gamers, we'd love to have all these games on a platform of our choice. We don't, so we...
Just inn case you've forgotten what a headline means . .
HEADLINE
noun
• A heading or title of an article: The on today's newspaper reads "John Doe Wins Wood-Splitting Competition."
•verb (headline, es)
(context, entertainment) To have top billing; to be the main attraction
So headlines are meant to attract attention in the shortest possible way . . . if you disagree, then you'd need to take that up with &...
Actually we're not at all. We go to great lengths to separate the two in this review of Prototypwe, as the two should not be compared ( http://oxcgn.com/2009/06/15... -
It's just ill-informed so-called gamers that see a popular title and state one is better than the other because they basically have not played both, just one.
If they had played both, they would see the...
To those sensible PS3 owners in here that can see the articles is in fact a great review/article of a great game, thank you. (bubbles for you jleack)
To those that simply see a headline, (which btw, IS supposed to grab ppl's attention, look up the definition of Headline in the dictionary) and also not even bother to READ it, where it no way states ANYTHING bad or disparaging about the game AT ALL.
An din fact, the past paragraph says it all....
"Whi...
Some bubbles for you mate for having the gumption to at least say that you appreciate "gaming" rather that a single platform.
We can ALL love a particular platform, for whatever reasons, but that does not mean that it need exclude us from enjoying "gaming" that is offered on the other platforms, based simply on the fact it is - dare I say - the competition.
All things being fair, "gaming" is what the industry is about, rather than seeing...
Well when you have idiots that take exception with anything you mention about their beloved platform, they get very angry and disgruntled simply for mentioning anything.
Plus it's a way too let THOSE ppl not to bother dropping by, as there's nothing there for them, biut of course, they WILL find something, no matter how small or insignificant it may be.
I'm a Xbox fan, but that does NOT stop me enjoying the other great games from other platforms . . those that say one is superiour to others are simply fanboys - pure and simple.
Extolling the virtues of one over all others is not a wise or sensible thing. As each has it's own special areas that make it unique.
For me, the 360 wins for what I WANT in my life at this time.
Then rent it for the night mate, well worth the few bucks to rent it from say Civic Video or Blockbusters, trust me on that one, heaps of carnage.
Not a huge cricketing fan, but it is great to see the games advancing like this. Especially when sportsmen do make valid comments about the gameplay.
It will be a hit in Europe and UK as well as India I'm sure. As that is the heart and soul of cricket.
I don't think it would be as high as many might think, as the whole idea of the unified GPU/CPU is to cut down size which reduces production costs, material costs. The unit has dropped significantly, and it won't be a huge change from what we most likely have now, most likely slimmer, better loading slot (less costs, smaller size.
I'd be really surprised to see a significant price difference from the top of the line one now actually. As that's a typical upgrade marketing model ma...
well the motherboard has been fixed with Jasper, and Valhalla will take it even further. but there's one more motherboard update to the current one BEFORE Valhalla hits, its called Opus which should hit the beginning of the 3rd Qtr - so I believe.
Yes, needs an optical drive, and it wouldn't surprise me if it had one this time around, and almost nothing has the tray loading any more, and no manufacture will be supplying them soon, if not already on decent components.
And let's leave "Green" alone . . you can tell by the structure of his post that English is not his major, but he has the right like all of us to comment, we're not here for a lesson in English, but to be adult about sharing thoughts and ideas about gaming.
He has valid points, and presented them well.
Oh, and btw, not every game has to be a block buster AAA title to come out. We have many different levels of gaming, and there's nothing wrong with a publis...
