Bubbles to you mate for at least being observant, rather than totally biased and not checking differences out . .10 points.
Additionally to your observation, if you look at the background in both, the areas directly behind the cars are different. Having done photography, both on moving racing vehicles and static displays, you get to see what 'looks real' and what does not.
The FM3 has the correct depth of filed allowing clear definition of the road surface next to an...
Wwill find out ut more Aussie cars on Wednesday, as we are heading to a special Forza 3 event with the V8 Supercars at a secret location. Ilove suspence, and this game is dishing it up in spades.
I have to say one thing for MS and its games, they certainly know how to promote and push them to the max.
The amount of promotion, and public showing of its games is higher than any other platform.
Something that Sony could well take head of.
Man...
If I had the spare $$, I'd be in there like a flash for a new 360. With the larger HDD and it now being very competitive price-point-wise, it makes sense to grab one.
My 20gig HDD only has 4 gig left, and constantly requires cleaning out of junk to keep it running clean. So with a bigger HDD, it would make life a great deal easier, that's for sure.
It's what the Halo movie would have been like, the trailer below looks excellent, and way too real in fact, nothing like other game movies. Ideally this will show those in-the-know that he'd be perfect for a Halo movie of some sort.
No over the top gore, yet very believable in both District 9 and the Halo trailer.
There is a District 9 game at the end of the article actually. Runs of the D9 site which is not half bad actually. Check it out, it's after the Halo Movie Trailer
With the likes of Batman, District 9 etc, we are now seeing a much more 'real' approach to the movies that have or could have a game connection. Max Payne was great, and true to its storyline, yet had many 'real' aspects to it.
We do need to mature in that level, especially for those games being made specifically for the adult market.
While some gamers (minors) might complain about them not being shoot-em-ups etc, they have to remember, they are getting hold of games...
Love the first video - Dreams, especially the interior shots . .amazing, and the racing interior of the BMW . shivveerrss.
I'm certainly looking forward to getting my backside in some real tin next week at the closed Forza 3 event being held here in Sydney. We will have footage and pics and info on the following day, ideally.
But game developers can certainly use their atmosphere to their advantage, that's for sure.
I don't think there will ever not be a time that a developer will not use a hospital scene in one way or another. They help create a certain mood or dread and suspision in many, so it's easy for them to work that to their advantage.
While some say there's enough hospital scenes in games, I don't think there is actually, it's just that we remember them so vividly - that it seem...
FEAR 2 has one, it's the opening sequence, and quite good I might ad, check the opening vid in the article . . .
I've had my share of hospitals over the years, everything from major back surgery, to thumbs cut with bench saws, and metal in eyes . . .and they all do have a certain element of foreboding about them.
Knowing a few nurses certain raise the scary factor as well, as the stories they can often come out with sure makes your hair stand on end, like seeing paitents that are walking around, but actually dies a few hours ago - well, they thought they saw them walking around.
We are looking into that right now mate, as we want to run a Livery COmp with Fantec to offer Forza gamers a chance to win a $800 WHeel/Stand unit from Fantec.
To do that, we need ppl to be able to design a OXCGN - Fantec Livery one 2 models of cars. The winners design will not only win the grand prize, but also have their design © of course, applied to all 10 Team OXCGN Racing cars that will then compete in various Forza 3 World Tournaments on XboxLive.
We will...
Nope, no rally cars that I know of, but you'll get better value from Colin McRae DiRT 2 for real Rally Car gameplay this time around.
They can do the genre more justice than Forza 3 could, given the physics are a huge departure from street and circuit racing.
As there'd be too many concessions made to the game to fit them both in on the one game. Best to stay at what you're best at, rather than try to do everything, and only be good at some of it, and not all.
ey weren't a viable product that's all mate. The cost to produce and the return (as they weren't for sale) simply made them not a good idea. Worked in with skins they sell better, but the different markets (regions) have different purchasing preferences, and the plates just didn't move as expected.
I've always stood by the "Collectors Bundle" idea, as soon as they are made, pre-orders sell out, and sales rise, even for those who already have a console (360/PS3 etc) . ....
It's marked at $119.95, so it's at the normal top tier RRP level (Recommended Retail Price) so that's cool. The Halo OSDT LE on the other hand is near $160 mark, but does come with a ODST controller as well.
Well I'm certainly not hanging around, my orders been in for a while now, and the usb sticks show that your art and files can be moved really easily and transfered. Ideally Forza 2 art creations can also be transfered and tweaked into Forza 3, fingers crossed.
Man I'd just love to sit in one of those Lambos, only 20 of them ever made, and with a solid price tag of over $1mil, little wonder . .
And the Audi looks fantastic . . lots of aerodynamics at work on that one.
seems I can no longer defend myself as some mod has taken it upon themselves to restrict my comments in my own defense . .
To the guy that created the story in the first place, (Immortal Kaim ) who wrote:
"Umm guys, I made the story...I posted one of the pics from the article that didn't have writing all over it? Why is everyone blaming Xboxoz?
p.s Get over it. "
Those are his words, not mine, so to that I say -
Thank...
God you ppl, the shot is a frame from a game, so of course nopthing is CRISP as, because it's not standing still - idiots.
None of those are photoshoped, as only ONE is from the game, the others are real life V8 Supercars to give you a comparison of the livery of the real car and the Forza 3 car . .shiivvers some ppl in here are either too dumb, or just plain idiots.
I think the later applies
actually. you might be much closer than you think, as the deal with the V8 group was only secured a little while ago, and thus, site licences etc would be impossible t secure before release.
When talking with one of the drivers today, he did say that it would be a shame to have the V8's there but no local tracks. SUpp;ying them as DLC at a later stage is very plausinle actually.
The code I played today was NOT code that was at E3 in June, it was delivered late last n...
