No date has been set for GT5 yet, show me a 'confirmed date', and I'll be happy, as I'll be getting the game as well . . . but until it has a confirmed street date, it's"not around the corner" by a long stretch.

Most games have a release date announced 4-5 months out of release so promotions can take place, advertizing can be done, as it takes time to get ads and promos organized through the various companies, it just doesn't happen overnight - some of you need to get...

too true, colour saturation as well, but at least we do have top tier V8 Supercars in the game this time around

I'd agree to that as well, I've heard him say an official NO to gears of war 2, or that 'no- Unreal Tournament will not be able to be played on the 360', or other such 'funny' stuff. Whereas Cliff tells it like it is, ansd has been pulled in line at times for doing so.

Asked him if there was more gears on the way last November while he was here (CB) and he said, yes, most certainly, there's loads of stuff, I just can't say what at the moment etc".

So who would ...

I'm not a huge fan of Gears Of War myself, bit it doesn't stop me admiring the effort and work that goes into it, especially from Cliff Bleszinski. The two (Mark) often class with comments and views, so it would be interesting to hear Cliff's views on the industry at this time.

I'm the opposite, while I might get stuck, and frustrated, I'll work through it, even if it takes ages to do so. I dislike MP online as the whole idea of a game (IMO) is to deliver a story of some kind and an obsticale for the player to overcome, in whatever way/s they can.

While getting all the Achievement points for some is the vital thing, that doesn't mean they actually finish a game in the true sense of the word.

I've played through some games several times in o...

To tell you the truth, I don't finish most of my games - fast. Many wait months before getting to the end, so paitence is one fo my abilities, but some of the games just drive me around the bend and get put aside for a 'rainy day' . .

When all else fails and I need some frustration or venting, out come those games. But yes, several of those game mentioned, and the Ninja Gaiden one above sure do do it for me . . .

Yes, that does sound like one major flaw in the game, but it seems rather deep in many other areas . .

Agreed to both your posts mate.

One thing some gamers forget is that not all games ARE priced the same .. . In Australia, games have always ranged in RRP from $AU80 - $AU110 pre Xbox 360. They now range in RRP of $AU99.95 - $AU119.95 (not includ those stores that sell well below RRP on new releases such as JB Hi-Fi -- where a normal $99.95 game will sell for $79.95 off the rack new).

There are tiers of pricing, not all games, irrespective if they are AA or AAA titles...

I do not mind paying more, so long as I get what I'm paying for - quality. And I do not mean higher graphics, more character enhancements etc.

But basically, playability, re-playability, Fun-Factor needs to be high (irrespective if it's a war based game or not - it's still has a "fun factor") and for what you get in the Collectors editions these days, which seems to be growing, gamers get a solid amount of gear for their money.

Also considering that prices,...

Either that, or everyone abandon gaming in Australia, buy a Wii and Wii fit, and keep Nifty N happy . .

It's also interesting to also see more games of a "mature" nature heading to the Wii as well now, seeing that the 'fun-kid-friendly' games are losing popularity with Wii owners, with most sales coming from "adults for the fitness side of things, and the older style games that fit into the mature end of the market. Funny that.

Thanks for the link, and as it shows (under the game section) one man is standing in the road for having a suitable rating available for games. A rating that is available, yet NOT USED for game, but used on film etc.

His conservative views ALLOW children of 15rs and under to actually access games and movies that are aimed at adults, yet he states he is "saving the children" . . what an ignorant man. It's almost as if we are in medievil Rome or France in the 1300s.

Could not agree with you more mate.

And here's a thing, a recent game was refused classification due to the fact it had the words Morphine as a drug in use to help with combat injuries (they use it in real life on the field), and the developer had to change the content throughout it game across the board (all regions) to get it accepted.

Yet, a few months later, Velvet Assassin, who uses Morphine as an enhancement in the game, gets PASSED without the slightest mentio...

Interesting to see what some of the industry heads are saying in the article. They are all in favour of the higher rating, yet "some" State Attory Generals in an Australian State that shall remain nameless, still refuse to budge on giving adults access to content they are entitled to, and also, to stop sub 18 yr olds getting access to games that dev build specifically for 18 plus age groups.

These politicians have no idea as to what they are actually doing when it come...

Again, it's not about poly count or which one looks the shiniest etc, it's about the game which have brought new levels of artistic merit and function to gaming, not all the games that run UE3 or the latest high poly count game with monster particle effects in it.

Such as hi=ow DICE used Mirro's Edge to present a completely new style, both visually and game wise to the gamer, and how Viva Pinata uses bold simple colours to help it stand out, or how Crytec uses huge fine details a...

If t=you READ the article, it's not listing the game from lowest to best, it's simply listing the top ten with artistic merit, and asking YOU to vote for the one YOU think is the best from the first 5 listed . .you did read the article and see the poll - didn't you?

6156d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

ahhh - it IS part 1, not all 10, and there can only be top 10,not top 30, as I'm sure many games could fit the bill, but it's the ones that stand out and try something different as far as artistic merit goes, not that just look nice with lots of polygons etc.

I have my favs to, one of them being Far Cry 2 which I think is a great representation of current Gen artwork . . it will be very interesting to see what is in the part 2 segment, I cast my vote though for those on this list, and it makes for some interesting reading . .

Yes,mate, it does,it's one of the main constructions requests when building the vehicle, it has 2 wheel, 4 wheel steering which can be joined as one so that both sets turn opposing each other or in the same direction enabling it to 'crab' . . I was in it when he set it to "crab' and it literally went sideways, and also set it to do opposite steering as in the game.

Amazing feeling and experience, we'll have the hog showing on video in the next day as well as an in depth int...
