They still have this arrogance about them that because it is Sony, everyone should know and they do not have to advertise about it . . which is so wrong.

It's one of the major reasons several high ranking ppl have left Sony, especially westerners who know this way of doing things, whereas the Japanese way is no longer a viable approach in todays consumer savvy market place.

Agreed, plus it's doubtful that'll now make it past the OFLC here in Australia. Way to go Capcom, make the game even more gory and make sure the board knocks it back - 10 points - not.

If SOny wants Grand Tourismo 5 to bee noticed outside the normal fan base, then this is the sort of promotional stuff they need to do.

Not saying which is best game either way, just that it is something SOny does NOT do, which it should, is promote it's major titles, or any title for that matter.

Youcan not take anything away from MS's support of their developers, they make sure they are supported with PR to the greatest degree possible.

And yes, the gam...

The demo is released 24th PST, not AEST sadly, we get disc worldwide releases 'first', but not DLC . . . that is based on US time slots, not international date line time frames.

We had Halo ODST a full 16-20 hrs before Nth America and around 10-11 hours before UK/Europe. Even with Forza 3's 23rd Release date in PAL territories, NZ will get it first, then Australia, Asia, Europe with Nth America following on 4 days later (27th)

There's no Ford/Holden packs according to Turn 10, just the Ford/Holden Supercars. Wendt was interviewed and he stated that while he V8 Supercars were in Forza 3, there was no plans for the Holden or Ford at this time.

Plus Metacritic can and is abused it kn some factions that are members, to artificially score games to either raise or lower the rating on the site. Nothing that I know has been done about that, and it seems only those who 'obey' the owners rules, which are somewhat lopsided, are allowed to be members of that system, which smacks of favouritisim, and somewhat unethical if you ask me.

SO I pay very little attention to their scores, but sadly, many do, and many developers do as wel...

I fear MS's servers are going to get hit really hard today when the Demo is activated on XboxLIVE.

We'd love to hear from gamers regarding their thoughts on the demo, well constructed ones (demo impressions) might even get published . .

ACtually, you're closer to the mark than you think.

Many gamers, especially the fanboys do not bopther reading much at all, they look for a score, and praise or condemn it (the game) based on their over inflated score ratings system.

Many a time OXCGN has written a solid review, and had readers complain about an aspect or part of the game - only to be shown that the review did in fact cover that, and all they needed to do was 'read it' . .

Plus we have ...

That's the problem with gamers these days, they seem to believe a score of 85 is BAD . . come on ppl.

That's good, actually, it fits into the "excellent" marking if things be known. A bad score would be if it was in its 60-70, which would make it "average" . .

The review is marked for the campaign, nothing else, the others will be marked for what they deliver. As some gamers do not actually like Multiplayer or even Co-op, and prefer the Single P...

Well this time, it matches what the hype is about. It is more 'realistic' in a certain way, far less cartoonised that the previous 3. This time you're no longer some super hero, but vunerable and have to use your head in many places, rather than blundering headlong into the fray, as many halo fans simply love to do.

It will be very interesting to see if the Halo online Multiplayer fans change their tactics to suit the game, or simply continue in their stupid way of doing things ....

This time is basically what Halo 3 should have been, especially given the cinematics that led up to the release of Halo 3. It was anticlimatic when I loaded Halo 3 into the 360 and hit play. It was NOT what I was expecting it to be given the media hype it was given.

Not that it was a bad game per-se, but this time, both the art, screens and cinematics all match to that of the actual game, you get what you see, and what you pay for - finally.

There's a battery, and the case for it is black, like the underside of the controller, you'll see a shot of the batteries in one of the images actually . . I know, I saw them when I was editing the article and adding the images.

The underside is meant to be a sort of dark grey, which is wht the battery case is, the tops of the 360 controller wrap around and are halfway around the sides, so the colour goes underneath as well. So it might look odd, but that is how it is supposed t...

I don't like Halo much at all. There, said it, A 360 xbox fan who does not really like Halo.

But finally, Bungie have produced something that is unlike any Halo that has been before it. It's actually a pleasure to play it this time. No bouncing Master Chiefs all over the maps, or having to play 'grasshopper' to get kills in SP.

The whole thing makes sense this time, the story is solid, and it feels like a proper FPS - finally.

The atmosphere is awesome, ...

I'd have preferred something different as I mentioned, even at the odst warthog event they had different stuff that would have suite dthe limited edition beautifully. But hey . . it all costs money and in the long run, we do get a bargain all things considering with these packs.

Personally I'm a tad disappointed in MS with ODST's Collectors Edition. Yet on the other hand, it is a great investment if you're after a second controller as well as the game for co-op.

For both a wireless controller and a AAA Game, $AU129 is a fair asking point, especially considering the games normal RRP is $AU100, you're getting the controller for just $AU29 bucks.

I would have thought an extra artbook, figurine and say a History Of Halo Series booklet would have...

I think you'll find that it is in fact an incomplete items from the game, even graphic artists have picked that up, pop both the 330 P4 interior up on screen, then open any of the other interiors, no matter what car they belong to, and you will see the details, shadow, 3d texturing clearly missing. Even many Sony fans have now seen this to be the case.

If you check out the interior of the all out R1 series Ferrari's interior, you can see at a glance the huge differences in detai...

Interestingly, I just ran this image past my graphics guru who does all the Halo and various company art and she pointed out some glaring facts.

The image the Sony 'fans' are referring to is minus at least 2-3 layers of modeling. The shadow textures, detail textures and the 3d textures for such things as buttons, steering wheel and the actual door handles at not present, just the 'markers' are, showing that there's obviously more work on this particular catch that should have bee...

And you're typical of a fanboy that seizes on something and runs with it like a rapid dog. WHo doesn't read other posts and see what others are saying or presenting.

Yes, that image suck bg time, I certainly won't stick up for it, it's shocking, but if you check many others you'll see that it is right out of context to all others submitted.

ANy fool could see that. Take a look at the Veyron video on that site here (
WIthout competition, games that WE all play would still be in the lands of pixelated 2d screens. Both...

yep. it is rather crapp, that's for sure, it's as if it's missing a final layer pass actually. as when you compare it to another interior shot further on, such as this, it seems right out of character.
