Red Dead Redemption is much more than this one, that's for sure. Not to say this is small, but Red Dead is just - well - HUGE. You do have limits in Just Cause 2, but in Red Dead, if you can see it, then you can get to it.
Plus it's a lot more serious and less - hmmm - explosive' than Just Cause 2.
Not that that is a bad thing, just different. Those who love big guns and lots of firepower will love Just Cause 2, those who love a real challenge, will love Red Dead Red...
Given it's use, it's little wonder, and the medium it sues allows such easy copying, it's a wonder Sony even thought of it.
PSP-GO is not catching on like SOny had hoped though, so perhaps it's time for the PSP to slowly be retried from active service . . .
I love open worlds that allow you to simply have fun, I'm getting this as soon as I can afford it.
Well not ALL old cronners are like that, so please do not lump us all in the same boat. I turn 57 in a month or so, and I'm all in favour of the changes, and gaming, hence the site and being so involved with it and the industry.
Many of the publishers, developers also fit into that "Old Cronner" bracket, but with us, the industry falls flat without some direction.
not having a go, simply pointing out that older people are not all the same, and in fact, oft...
Thanks mate, and I'm not sure when it will eventually come through, as a replacement has to be found, which need not be an electorial thing, as it need only be a 'placement' given by the office.
Once that happens, the wheels of process will take their usual time, but it will be great to finally know that there's a high possibility that the R18+ will not be 'all' that far away.
Agreed, when I point out this simple fact, that currently, 80% of thegames passed are in fact 18+ overseas, many are just gobbed-smacked thatthe games have a simple MA15+ rating.
Then, when I tell them that the same applies for movies, they are even more outraged actually, as they think nothing of allowing a 14-15yr old watch any type of MA15+ movie these days.
You only have to check up against the movies database and find that toften, the same movie has a PEGI 18, E...
And a wise father he is obviously.
Sure, may 'younger gamers' might well be ticked off over the changes, but it NEEDED to happen, and the sooner it does, the faster parents will see that they have the choice in how their kids see, play and enjoy gaming that is suitable for their age group.
It was a nice thing to wake up to though, and I personally think Mr Atkinson has finally seen that the general public do not share the same thoughts as he does, and that perhaps hi...
It will be interesting to see what their (Jalopnik's) next car pack is actually, as they led everyone in a merry chase having them believe that they would be older cars in this batch, yet when it fronted, bam, almost all current model cars, exception being the Bugatti EB110.
I'm about to lobe the game in next week, so in fact, I'm now looking forward to it much more than before.
The previous one was a great load of fun, and definitelty found its self inside the 360 more often than not, I doubt this one will be much different.
A game not only has to have some believable qualities in it, such as both Moder Warfare, and Bad COmapny 2, but it also has to have its fair share of fun . . as without that, it's nothing more than an interactive mo...
And there's only ONE OF IT's KIND - ever . . . They may enter it into the 2010 Le Mans series, which would be great, seeing that the little-beastie flys like a screaming bat-out-a-hell. . ..
ANd just listening to that vid or it at Seca is awesome . . . especially when it just rolls to a stop.
Plus stagecoach as well as train. And if you do choose to do it on horseback, there are many things that can and do happen along the way which Rockstar like to call "Randoms" . . . . and they are random.
On one go through a hands-on, several 'opportunities' were offered to me as events taking place, some happening at the same time, and if I went one way and did one thing, the other would dynamically change, and I could even go back to that, now that it had changed.
I'm so getting the Splinter Cell Convictions Collectors Edition though, It probably is one of the best ones so far this year as far as Collectors Editions go ...
I've played the demo 10 times so far, not including the several times we played it at Ubi the other night, and there's STILL different ways to get through it.
If this is just an indication of what is possible, you could basically play the game through many times over . .which ideally should be how many game...
It's May 18th in Nth America, and 21st for Europe and Aust-NZ . . .
There's so many games coming out now that it's almost hard to keep up with them all.
Gamers are spoilt for choice these days.
What would normally be an extremely slow period for gamers, Late December until April, has turned out to be one of the highest number of releases for the period in decades.
Yet they still complain - -blows me away . . scratches head.
Yep, certainly has, which is why we're pushing it, as after playing it, and seeing the various builds over the last year, players are going to be in for a treat with this game. It's 10 times bigger than GTA IV, and was made to surpass that. It was underway before GTA IV was started actually, but needed to wait until now so the tech needed was there.
The world is just open for you to explore, and not by just wandering around then finding nothing to do, there's plenty of action too do no matter where you go in the game-world.
Thing is, many younger gamers of the last 2 generations might not 'get it' with Westerns. They have missed that period of growing up with westerns as their most popular TV series or culture.
However, the one thing is important, that they give it a shot, unless you try something, you simply ca...
For anyone interested - we now have the Demo link available direct on the site, it downloads direct to your 360 . .
Don't just play through the demo once, try finding various ways into the building, there are a few.
Try every possible way to get through it, try doing it without getting spotted, but by also taking out the guards as you do. Use stealth to your advantage.
YEs, the controls have changed . .they needed to in order to give better control an...
Nope, singleplayer all the way mate - thank god, . . how can you get to know Sam Fisher in MP . . . you can't.
NOt certain if it does go live on the 19th, as of two days ago, Ubi were saying they weren't 100% sure of the 19th at that time, so if it's not, don't be alarmed, it won't be far away.
I was initially worried about it, having been postponed several times, different gameplay mechanics in some areas, the different story slant, but not any more.
There's just WAY too many good, no, great games coming out this year, it's making it much harder to pick the ones I want, at least a few years ago, you could grab almost all the main AAA titles without really damaging the bank, now it's impossible.
Ilove the fact that Aussies like to mix it up in such social ways. What a way to spend a night, clubbing, gaming, drinking (within moderation of course) and simply having some good old fashions fun.
Plus it shows that gaming is not just a kids hobby, but in fact, part of a huge adult entertainment sector . . .
