3ds is seriously one of my all time favorite systems. Really sad to see it end. Can’t wait to play Persona Q2 when it releases.
And if this was the only thing coming, I might be upset by it. But since we are ALSO getting P5R and Persona Q2, I really see no reason to take offense at this Musou experiment. It might even be fun.
If it comes with most or all of the previously released dlc, I would happily buy it day 1.
If the PS5 releases with only 500GB-1TB storage, honestly that will just be a depressing joke. Game sizes are only going to get bigger, and with backwards compatibility and gamers transferring their PS4 libraries, this thing needs to release at 2TB minimum, IMO.
One thing I like about remasters is that they usually include any and all DLC released for the game. It’s nice to buy a physical disc that has all patches and all content on it, like the good old days.
Where’s the logic in this system in the first place? It’s the same board and internals as an Xbox one, “because that’s what it is.” Then why would anyone want this over a regular Xbox One? It’s the exact same thing EXCEPT missing an important feature - no physical media. All while Microsoft boasts and markets their backwards compatibility, this console just plain makes no sense.
All it is, is Microsoft testing the waters for how consumers will respond to a digital only futu...
That would be cool, but they should take it a step further and somehow put in an enemy randomizer too, and introduce the new enemy types (at least the pale heads, didn't care much for the poison zombies.)
Nothing too crazy like PC mods where Tyrants are everywhere, but it would add some replayability if each new run you encountered lickers, Ivy's, pale heads, etc at random points in the game.
Seriously, this game deserves so much credit just for it's technical performance. On PS4 Pro it looks so good, yet runs at 60 fps, and in many tens of hours of playing I have not had a single crash or any noteworthy bugs at all. That's almost unheard of for newly released games.
Sin taxes do work at curbing consumption, many studies have been done on the impacts of sin taxes on things like tobacco and alcohol that show this to be true. But the real issue here is taxing something that is demonstrably not bad for society. The ridiculous scapegoating of video games needs to be resisted.
The problem with this game is that it doesn’t really offer anything that hasn’t been done better in another assassins creed game by now. But if you are a big fan of the series and want it for current gen consoles, then I guess...
That is the one interesting detail but could just be as simple as an oversight by Capcom.
As far as we know, there is only one Mr X in the RE2 REmake, there is no indication at all that Umbrella dropped off multiple ones. Different events happen in the different scenarios, Spoilers follow,
In Claire's run, after MR X is killed by Birkin, you never see another MR X again in Claire's scenario. You can wander the police station forever, he is gone. In Leons scenario, MR. X is simply not killed by the van explosion, just incapacitated and then you do see hi...
I will never forget, RE2 was one of the first horror games I played as a child. It was a crazy experience for me. Tense, scary, I must have been around 10 years old or so. I remember vividly, watching the cutscenes, and my stepdad who was also a fan said to me - "You see how good these graphics are? Soon the actual gameplay will look as good as the cutscenes, that's how technology gets better." And his words BLEW MY F-ING 10 year old mind. Gameplay looking as good as those 1998 ...
Seems like Capcom are redeeming themselves. RE2 REmake is a hit, a total blast to play. The original was, imo, one of the best entries in the entire series, and they did an excellent job re-imagining it for the current technological standards. Let's hope Capcom continues this trend of giving gamers what they want and making excellent games!
I don’t mind remasters really, sometimes it’s nice to get an updated HD and complete version of a game, since remasters a lot of times will include all patches, DLCs, etc, and will run better on the next gen systems. I understand why some see them as lazy cash grabs, but personally I own and enjoy quite a few remasters. Always great to see remakes like RE2 too of course.
I will say that last gen I loved Xbox 360 and was slightly disappointed with the PS3, but this gen there is no question, PS4 library blows Xbox One out of the water. Sony just gets it, gets what gaming is about, gets what makes a great game. Microsoft is slipping. They need to re-evaluate what gamers want out of a console and games. But I feel they are going to continue trying to make heir console an online-only device with subpar exclusives.
All I can say is that I will never by a console that doesn't accept some kind of physical media. I will never go all-digital. Also the next gen should absolutely have backwards compatibility, so for that reason alone they shouldn't be discless.
Things next gen needs,
100% backwards compatibility
No “always-online” BS (looking at you, Microsoft.)
New 60 FPS standard for 99% of games.
Honestly I’m willing to wait for these consoles if the tech isn’t there yet to provide this at a reasonable price point yet. No need to rush IMO, make these consoles right and make them great.
The game can be played by yourself without a co-op partner, unless they've changed that since I last looked into it. So it is not exclusively co-op, which would be stupid if it was. Again, there isn't a single logical reason to REQUIRE internet connection, and I challenge you to think of even one.
Imagine a GOT themed Fire Emblem game.
