One of the best series in gaming and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Man, that is such a bogus take. I almost never buy any game at full price. Not even the ones I am really hyped to play, and it’s for several reasons. 1, $60 is a lot of money, and games always go on sale sometimes even just a month or two after release. 2, most games (definitely including Days Gone) release in a half-assed state and require multiple patches. Why should I pay $60 to get a broken, buggy mess. Days Gone was a mess at release and suffered greatly from bugs and performance issues....
It wouldn’t be so much of an issue if all you had to do was replace the battery. It’s the PSN requirement that’s a big Fing deal. Obviously the console will require repairs now and again to keep working in the long term, but once repaired it should continue working. If 15 years from now I have a working PS4 I should be able to play all my games offline with no issue, but that won’t be the case if for some reason this battery failed and I can’t connect to PSN. It’s completely unnecessary to ha...
Man I hope this game gets a complete/ultimate edition.
Me too. I’ve been waiting for a complete edition of Xenoverse 2 for ages.
I am more hyped for this than Diablo 4. No knock against D4, just it’s going to be fantastic to revisit D2 with the fresh coat of paint. Such a great game.
So does the standard edition come with the game? Is this getting a physical release? Because I will pass on this if I can't get physical.
Something tells me this is the generation where GaaS and online-only really becomes the norm. And so many gamers are just going to accept it because eVeRyOnE hAs InTeRnEt! Such bull. Definitely not buying this crap.
Eh, I see where you are coming from. I really do. But sometimes you gotta try something new. And it’s a risk; it may not be as good as what you did originally. But you can always revisit the old formula later. Resident Evil 9 or 10 could be a triumphant return to that old form we have been waiting for and could that much better for it due to this long hiatus in the interim. Whereas if they stuck to that formula all this time we’d all be tired of it by now and asking why they don’t deviate. I ...
Why?
If that's true that will make me happy.
The DS4 is an amazing controller and I have several now. I don't really understand why it can't be used on games that don't utilize the new features of the new controllers. It's kind of absurd to think I will be able to put a backwards compatible PS4 game disc into my PS5, and yet only be able to play it with the PS5 controller only. Not to mention, if my one PS5 controller that comes with the PS5 breaks, I'll have to buy the PS5 controller which will surely be more expens...
The industry is going to keep taking steps to an all-digital future. IMO it should be resisted at all cost. An all-digital future is one where publishers have all the power and consumers have little, if any, actual ownership over the media they purchase. It seems convenient for many now, but the reason the industry is pushing for it is because it strips consumers of rights. One day you won't be able to play games, even single player games, without being constantly connected to an online s...
@Ristul
That kind of thing happens all the time in promotional material. For instance do you have any idea the amount of movie trailers that use footage that never happens in the actual movie, or use footage where characters have been added or removed from the actual scene? Just a recent example off the top of my head the newest avengers movie had Thor removed from trailer scenes etc. It is misleading, but at the same time they are trying to keep aspects of the story under...
It will be a sad day for gaming when physical media is made completely obsolete. You are being lulled in by the convenience of all-digital, but an all-digital future is one where you will objectively have less ownership over your media. 10-20 years from now you won’t be able to play games at all without being constantly connected to a server for constant verification. If your internet goes down, you can’t game. If they shut the server down after so many years, you can no longer play that game...
I'll take either but why not both? I would buy both day 1.
@ Ilikestuff
digital is also not free. There are server costs and bandwidth costs etc. Physical might still cost a little more to produce, but mass producing discs is actually really cheap. Much cheaper than say, producing cartridges etc. It probably costs pennies to produce the physical discs.
Not me. I never buy digital.
RE5 is a great action game. I enjoyed it, but I definitely don't want every Resident Evil to copy it. The series benefits from having more action-oriented games now and then though.
Save you all a click and let you know this is just a troll post about Marauder Shields being the coolest moment for trying to save you from the terrible ending. So funny! *rolls eyes*
