One game I want remade is Duck Tales. It was the game that caught millions of kids off guard. It was one of the biggest "Surprisingly good" games of all time. Too bad it's going to be a nightmare getting Nintendo, Disney, and Capcom back together. It's going to be nearly impossible in this day and age.
No, because personal taste is something that every gamer is entitled to.
Personally, I don't like SoC. It's not the type of game that I'm into, but I respect the hell out of Team Ico for creating it. Seriously, the game is downright beautiful at times. Again though, not my type of game.
This stuff is awesome. I love games that thrive on user created content. It gives the game near endless replay value.
This looks awesome. LBP 2 is going to have an amazing amount of user created content, much more than the first one.
I'm loving how you can do other genre's too. This game has the potential to be groundbreaking if everything works right.
Can't wait to play it.
I respect your opinion, but when it comes to handhelds, I will always be loyal to Nintendo. I've been with them since the Gameboy Pocket and have no plans to change that. Nintendo has never disappointed me with their handhelds, so I personally see no reason to switch.
As far as games for a mature audience, you have a point. But the DS wasn't all casual itself. It had a plethora of RPG's that were way over the heads of casuals. But yeah, the PSP does have more ...
I agree with this. Galaxy 2 took the formula from Galaxy 1 and perfected it. Nearly every single flaw was fixed, especially the camera when going upside down on the planets. The improvements in this game were subtle, but they actually fixed a lot. Plus, the level design improved, too. Nintendo stepped their game up with subtle tweaks and fixes that improved the experience of the game.
Nah, 2011 will be good for the Wii, too. It has a Heavyweight in zelda kicking off the year. Plus Dragon Quest X. After that, who knows.
Lol, he could easily be the comic relief of ME3.
I love how deadpan the Elcor are, and seeing an Elcor squad member say something serious or threatening in that tone...that would be hilarious.
Being able to save from the pause menu on all "big games" would be a step in the right direction. That way you can play the game for short incraments of time and still keep the progress you made. Also, the big games would also have autosaves at the end of each mission/map for the people who have time to sit down and sink time into it.
So it would be a hybrid between the two, so to speak. Doing that would make these fleshed out games much easier to use in portable ...
I agree.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying do away with console level games. Just make them more portable friendly, like having the ability to quicksave and end the game whenever you want. I was an early adopter to the PSP(I had a 1000), and most "big" games at the time I had it were direct console ports and were "Playing by console rules" so to speak. You didn't always have the ability to play it for 15 minutes, save it and shut the system ...
Oh, I agree. Some titles were designed specifically for the portable format, but there wasn't enough emphasis on that type of game IMO.
Like you said, the problem with the PSP was that 3rd party devs just stuck a PS2 game on a UMD and called it a day. That doesn't work more often than not. Hopefully the PSP2 can find a balance between the two types of games.
I want Sony and the third party studios to make the games more portable friendly. Having a console level game on a portable system is impressive, but to me it doesn't always translate into "Pick up and play", something I think all portable games should feel like.
My god. Again? We'll see, I guess...
Having a $199 SKU, along with the strong first party lineup for 2011 would make the PS3 an unbelievable force to be reckoned with next year. Sony would be wise to do this, if possible. There would be, aside from personal preference, no more excuses for not owning a PS3.
PS3 has the best 2011 lineup. People should take that list with a grain of salt, though. I expect, like every year, 1/3 to 1/4 of those games aren't going to make 2011. It happens EVERY year on every platform.
2011 is going to be awesome for me. Having all 3 consoles, I can choose literally any game that comes out next year. It's going to be tough prioritizing all that lol.
MS published ME1, so ME1 on the PS3 was a no-no.
Good news for PS3 fans!
I'll be getting the 360 version because I want to finish the fight with the Shepard I've had since the beginning.
The show was all about Skyrim for me. I don't care if it was only CG. It's a new Elder Scrolls game coming out next year. That alone makes this the showstopper for me.
I guess in terms of what was in the actual trailers, I enjoyed the R3 trailer.
As an RPG fan, the VGA's were unbelievable for me. Out of the games announced, I'm most excited about Mass Effect 3, and Elder Scrolls V. Looks like 2011 is going to be great for RPG fans and gamers in general.
Very, very, well said sir. Bubbles for you.
I share the same opinion. It makes me sad when people blast games for an occasional drop in framerate or texture pop in or whatever the hell the topic of the day is. Unless these things are major flaws(which oftentimes they aren't), it's barely noticable and hardly makes the game unplayable. People point out these flaws trying to embarass the other consoles fanbase, but in reality it's so insignificant that it makes pe...
