Never got into Sly, so this really isn't exciting news for me.
I would much rather have a new Jak game. Hopefully that will happen this gen.
I hate trash articles like these. They're absolutely useless. The guy could have chosen the PS3 and I would still hate it. This topic has been talked to death for years. There's nothing new to argue about. And the Kinect vs. Move articles are getting old as well.
I agree. I just recently looked through my manual for Zelda NES, and you could tell that they cared about what they put in there. It's one of the most extensive manuals I've seen. It does a really good job of introducing people to the zeldaverse. It's sad that the days of booklets like that are gone. I get kind of excited when I see a beefy manual, but I'm quickly let down when I find out that half of it is just the first half translated to a different language.
This was a hard one for me. There have been a TON of great characters during the last 4 or so generations. Picking only one is almost unfair.
Couple of honorable mentions: Mario, Sonic, Ganondorf, Jak, Ratchet, and Conker(Bad fur day version) just to name a few.
Easy. Navi from Zelda: Ocarina of Time. HEY! LISTEN!!
Lol, just kidding. She's one of the most annoying characters ever. I get the concept of Navi, but that nagging voice was irritating.
Anyway, My favorite is the Ocarina of Time version of Link. Every Link has a unique backstory, but I found his the most engaging out of the ones I've played.
Sony Vs. Nintendo is great for gamers on both sides. Both companies have an awesome first party stable and you can bet they're going to use them.
It's good for owners of both systems. I own both, so I can't wait to see competition ramp up :).
This is going to be awesome.
Skyward Sword is looking good. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it. There seem to be a lot of new gameplay mechanics this time. This is the first zelda game for the Wii. People forget that Twilight Princess was a port from the Gamecube.
I'm really hoping that Skyward Sword will bring some fresh ideas.
Sony was angry at Nintendo when they cancelled their disk add on for the SNES right before the announcement.
Sony was working on a disk add on for the SNES, but nintendo cancelled it at the last minute.
That's the only noteable conflict I know of between the two companies. They otherwise seem to be in good standing.
Move got an 8.5.
Didn't expect IGN to rate the Move higher, so I'm surprised in that regard.
This review won't do anything though, good or bad. People already made up their minds.
Sony has it's work cut out for them. Nintendo has had a stranglehold on the handheld market, soundly defeating anything in it's path.
The PSP2 could benefit by having a lower price than the 3DS. Another thing that would help is to have more PSP exclusive experiences, and hold off on the console ports.
Personally, I think they should simplify the games a bit. I don't think complex, console level games fit very well for a portable system. Make ...
I go to locally run game stores in my area over gamestop. Both of the local stores clean most of the disc based games (Every game I purchased not only played like new, but LOOKED like new as well).
Even if you get a bad game, they give you a month and a half warranty, and are actually apologetic if you have to use it.
I'm so glad I have alternate brick and morter choices.
Lol, it would be so funny if the disk stamping machine broke, resulting in a delay of about a week.
Just kidding. I'm no racing fan, but I'll probably try it out.
Wow. A 9 followed by a 6.5...
I'll wait for more reviews before I decide which score is the extreme one.
Wow... color me surprised. When I first heard of this, the game screamed rogue agent-esque cash in that used the name to spur sales. I'm very happy to be proven wrong. The Devs were playing with fire when they decided to bring this back, and it seems like they got out of it with minimal burns. Good job, guys.
Dude, it's going to be a while until we see another game the size of Oblivion. Even about 5 years later, no game has managed to be as mammoth as Oblivion IMO. It was a miracle that they fit all that game onto one 360 disc. So IMO, Oblivion, in terms of scope, hasn't been beaten. And those caves and such weren't dinky one-roomers either. A vast majority of them were multi-level mini dungeons with branching paths and items unique to that cave. The game is just incredible IMO.
I'm 20 and I own a DS and have 15 games for it. I haven't even scratched the surface yet. The DS library, while having a lot of shovelware, also has one of the most diverse selection of core games I've seen. I mean, the only library in recent memory that tops it is the PS2's. So to say that nobody over the age of eight will be playing their DS is crazy.
For 3D games, maybe, but Overall I view SoTN and Dawn of Sorrow as the best Castlevania games.
That's all opinion though. I would gladly use my $300 to buy a 3DS over a new PS3. I already have a launch PS3, for one, but if I didn't, I would still probably get a 3DS over a PS3. Why? Because I'm a portable gamer. I love portables. I use my DS 10 times more than my Wii, PS3, and 360. I like the style of portable games. Multiple save points, save anywhere, etc. because I often don't have the time to dedicate to full console games. So if I had neither a PS3 nor a 3DS, I woul...
My favorite Bond game is the N64 Goldeneye. That game was attatched to my 64 for years.
The best post Goldeneye game for me is Nightfire. I played the crap out of that game, too.
