$300 is a pretty justifiable price considering how massively powerful it is. $350 is pushing it, but not a deal breaker. Anything above that is too much.
I agree that LBP is practically built for portable devices already. It's going to be awesome.
I said nothing of the sort. If I was meaning to say that I would have made it a point to say that all it had was ports. The topic of conversation is console level experiences, right? I was saying I think that games are getting too complex to just carry over. That applies to the state of portable gaming in general, not just PSP related stuff.
I thought that a good chunk of PSP games weren't very portable friendly. I don't think direct ports of PS2 and up games work for portable systems. The idea of a portable game is something you can play on the bus and stuff like that, save your game, and be on your way. That wasn't always an option for PSP games because they were direct ports of PS2 games. Console games usually require more time than portable games, so I think that was a mismatch of sorts. The DS had it's fair s...
I would like to see a remake of something unexpected like Duck Tales NES.
On another note, I want more stuff frum Capcom on 3DS. They worked magic on the DS (AA series, Ghost Trick) and I would love to see more of those types of games.
This outcry, I think, is a side effect of game journalism devaluing the 10 point scale. I've seen so many games recieve 10's that would NEVER meet the strict guidelines of what constituted a 10 ten years ago. As a result, people have this "10/10 or bias!!!" mentality. It's because everything gets 10's now. That's why people are acting like an 8.5 is a 6.
Good strategy. Take it step by step. Aim for self improvement first, and see where it goes from there. There's no need to go gunning for Nintendo right out the gate.
Just finished this game recently, and it deserves the 8-10/10's it's been getting. It's a really great game.
Why are they comparing the obvious? Anybody with a brain can make that call without a silly comparison video. I'm tired of these sites trying to start something when there really isn't anything to be started. Both handhelds are completely different from one another. They cater to entirely different crowds. One focuses on a console type experience while the other designs simple games geared twords an "on the go" type of style. It comes down to personal preference, that's ...
Looks awesome. I hope they bring it over here to the US. I love a good JRPG.
Go for it. You can find it for around $20 now. The price I mentioned is what I paid for it, it's gone down since then. I think it's worth that much.
I'm good with my $40 DS version.
It's always amusing to see stuff like this.
One game to keep an eye out for is Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective for the DS. Obscure game launching at the end of the systems life cycle? You bet. It has potential to be pretty rare down the line. Plus it's an awesome game, too.
I think all the PSP2 can do is continue to gain more foothold. It has no realistic shot of dethroning Nintendo this gen. PSP needs to continue what it's been doing.
Lol, apparently every gaming website on the internet is doing these Vs articles. Get it out of your system now, internet.
My answer is yes, it's worth waiting for. I'm just getting the 3DS first.
I'm getting both. 3DS first, PSP 2 later on. I will have both of them eventually, though.
Nintendo gets top priority for me. Although I must admit the PSP2 looks amazing.
Those will come when they reveal the console level pricing for it.
Good. I want to see this trend continue. The PSP2 needs titles in these series to call their own, built for the PSP2. Playing current gen ports on the go isn't appealing to me, so good news here.
Yeah, $299 US seems to be the minimum. I suppose $279.99 is possible, but I don't see that happening.
Very, very, VERY impressive stuff shown. As expected, techwise the NGP is the very clear winner. Keep the direct ports down and price it competitively, and it has a real shot.
I still think the 3DS will outsell the NGP. The original PSP blew the DS away in terms of tech but that didn't make much difference.
Street Fighter is a round-based fighting game. Games like that work very well on handhelds because you can, almost always, elect to do a single fight and be done with the game after that.
I agree about the other two you listed though.
