YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, finally! This alone makes the VGA's 1000X better than last year.
Can't freakin wait. 11/11/11 baby!!
Can't wait. This is the first time I'm actually very excited for an Uncharted game. The locales revealed are right up my alley this time.
Plus, I want to see the sand :P.
Kind of a dumb article, but this line made me laugh.
"In the same way a pessimistic lover could fixate on toenails, ingrown hairs, and cryptic moles, a player could shake her head at a game's framerate, textures that blur up close, and robotic AI."
Had to lol at that because it's true IMO. So many gamers nowadays seem to put the games under a freakin microscope. IDK, maybe it's just me, but my inner gamer dies a bit inside when I see...
I can't wait for the VGA's this year. Last years show was horrible, but it seems like they're really trying to make the show newsworthy. I'm really hoping for a bombshell, but I don't think we're going to get it. Here's my dream announcement.
FFVII remake: Can you imagine the crowds reaction to this? There's a trailer at the end of the show. It's a black screen for a few seconds, then all of a sudden you hear the "Battle Start" ...
Sony's going to have a pretty big few days here. Uncharted 3 reveal and the new announcement on sunday within the span of 3-4 days. I'm hoping the announcement makes U3 look like non-news. Like the U3 announcement was just a giant decoy to take expectations off of sunday. Then they would bring the megaton on Sunday and surprise everybody. But it's probably not that big. I highly doubt that anything that big will be announced like that. I'm talking a game worthy of the "On...
Lol, someone's getting fired. I'm extremely excited, naturally. I hope the RPG elements come back. ME2 was essentially a TPS.
I was hoping for a spinoff, actually. The Mass Effect lore leaves TONS of spinoff potential IMO.
This is why I'm going to watch the VGA's. I'm loving Bioware this gen. Can't wait to see what it is. Hopefully it's Mass Effect related. There's a ton of spinoff potential in the Mass Effect world.
So is the surprise announcement that Sony planned for sunday about U3 or is it going to be something different? Hoping it's something different. Today's reveal+VGA's teaser seems like enough for an inital reveal to me. I want the Sunday announcement to be out of left field.
Anyway, the trailer looks awesome. I'm very excited. The location in this one has me, for the first time, VERY excited about an Uncharted game.
Can't wait. The DS was one of the best systems I've ever owned, so I can't wait for the successor. I can only hope demand for this won't be "Stalk the UPS truck" high. I don't think it will, but with the whole 3D craze in full swing, you never know.
Good list. I especially agree about Okami 2, Jade Empire 2, and Beyond Good and Evil 2.
Agreed. Too soon for an ME3 reveal IMO. They could do a spinoff type game, though. I would actually really like a 'bridge game' between 2 and 3, but that would be hard to do.
Again with the "again's"!!!
Lol, that was lame. Had to say it though.
Anyway..
Move and Kinect both seem to be doing well. Both Kinect and Move were out of stock at my local department store. There was only a sole 320GB move bundle in stock. I don't think Sony NEEDS huge numbers. Both Sony and MS have gathered enough early adopters to avoid any immediate failure.
My favorite was his first ad. The one where he was trying to deny the $299 rumor in a room full of crap advertizing the new price. That was pretty damn funny.
Lol, I don't think even Nintendo saw this kind of success coming from the Wii. It was a gamble at the time. They might say they weren't surprised, but I think they would be lying. You can't NOT be surprised by that kind of success, especially after finishing last the previous generation.
I'm still not sold on Sorcery yet. I need to see more of it.
The rest of the list is awesome, though.
They certainly turned things around from that very rough launch.
Once they went back to marketing the PS3 as a video game system instead of a Blu-ray player/Multimedia hub, it's been smooth sailing.
@InvaderZim:
I share the same opinion. I grew up on those games. As long as they keep their core in place I will always have room for Nintendo. Casual or not.
Yeah, there's a lot of mediocre casual titles, but people seem to think that that's all the DS is good for. There's actually a good amount of solid core games. There's not many blood and guts 'hardcore' games, but a number of games on the system are far from casual.
That's crazy. But the DS has always sold extremely well.
However, I think the 3DS is going to suffer from what I like to call "PS3 Syndrome", meaning the high initial price is going to mean a slow start for the system IMO. But once the first price drop hits I think it'll be good to go. I don't think the 3DS is going to exceed the DS' sales.
Aswesome! I can't wait to see the conclusion to the story.
