Lol, secret keeping fail. Oh well, it was already pretty obvious in the first place.

MS should have aquired Bioware. Along with Lionhead, it would have made the 360 the go to console for RPG's. I think that was a missed opportunity by MS.

I'll be watching that. The PSP had way too many direct ports of console games. Those aren't exactly ideal games to play on the go.

Also, I do realize that the DS did tons of porting, too. Difference is that those games were much more simple than PS2 games, which made the transition to a portable system an easy one.

I think this is it. At CES, Kaz Hirai said some news would be coming "in the very near future" about the future of the playstation brand in the mobile market. This seems like a perfect time to do it.

Anyway, here's my last minute predictions. Price is going to be $300-$329.99. Launches in Japan in September, US early/mid December. Uncharted Portable will make the US launch. Pricing won't be revealed thursday though.

I'm confident abo...

It goes both ways. The same can be said about all the people saying the PSP2 will thrash the 3DS despite knowing little more than rumors.

People on both sides are guilty.

Hmm.

Sounds interesting. Especially the "Built for the portable format" part.

I think it was just cancelled, though. Why would an Oblivion product launch close/after Skyrim? I guess they could make it a spinoff without the "Oblivion" name. I guess we'll see.

I haven't heard of a psp2 elder scrolls game. Where did you get that info?

5482d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I would buy it. I've been saying for a while that I intend to own both portable systems. I am a portable gamer mostly, so I don't care much about price since this IS my next gen right here.

The PSP 2 will cost as much as the 3DS MINIMUM. There's no way that it gets lower than 3DS. My guess is $299.99 US.

This, IMO, looks to be the killer app of the 3DS at launch. The features they included in this game represents what 3DS games want to do. I know this is a port, but it's a perfect fit for launch.

good score.

I remember really liking the first one, but I never finished it for some reason. Need to do that before playing this one.

This is proof that Nintendo cares about the core audience. If they went strictly casual, they wouldn't hesitate accosiating with Beiber, as that's pretty much the casual audience right there.

So in recent events, we have this, a core dominated E3 presser, and a core heavy initial lineup for 3DS. Keep it going, Nintendo!

A very large number of things need to happen in order for the PSP2 to beat 3DS, let alone "dominate" it. There are a few uncertainties this time around for the 3DS, so I'll be watching initial sales numbers for the 3DS very closely.

Molyneux was a pretty respected PC developer pre-Fable. You can't judge the guy's career off of recent history alone.

Thanks, Pachter. Couldn't figure that one out by myself lol.

I think the PSP 2 will get closer, but ultimately lose to the 3DS. The PSP brand needs another generation before it could make nintendo really sweat. This is not saying anything bad about the product, it's just that generations of people think Nintendo when it comes to portables. The PSP needs to continue building its fanbase. It's going to take time though before Sony can make a serious run at the ha...

Another great score. I'm going to wait for the community to start cranking out levels before I purchase it. Plus, I'm playing the first one right now, so I might as well wait for a price drop on this one.

I wouldn't call them terrible. I just recently picked up the first one(GOTY Edition). It was $12, which is a downright steal at that price.

Anyway, after extended time with the game, I realize that I was overexagerating a bit when talking about the controls of LBP. Yes, the jumping is floaty, but it's not as bad as I remembered when I rented it over a year ago. Personally, I like tight jumping in my platformers. I think of it as a prerequisite for ALL platformers. H...

I don't know why the article writer didn't just wait until Wed. when we'll actually KNOW about the things that matter like price, launch lineup, etc. I'm only assuming he's talking about NA due to the dollar sign. This article is jumping the gun a bit.

5487d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'll be getting both. 3DS first, PSP2 sometime later. I will be owning both eventually, though.

So yeah, I want them lol.

5488d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'll still buy one, and buy games for it. Even if hard times hit the 3DS, I'll stick with them. Nintendo has earned my loyalty due to 4 generations of awesome handheld gaming. IF the 3DS struggles, I'll be there supporting nintendo through it.

Sucks to hear about this though, hopefully it's not true.

Yes. That was the problem with the PSP, and I hope devs learned something.

A good number of PSP games were just PS2 games on UMD. I hope they put more effort into making portable exclusive games this time around.
