I agree with where SS was placed. It's definitely top 3 material. Best Zelda in a good while.

Ocarina of time is still my number one Zelda game.

So my top 3 would be OoT, SS, WW.

Good review. You can tell that online is the main feature of this game, and it works great. FAR better than the DS version, that's for sure. Even tired and true modes like time trial get an online facelift. While racing ghosts is nothing new, racing 7 of them in a psuedo race is. Little things like that are welcome additions. Also, the item distribution is FAR more balanced than the Wii version, which is great news.

The fact that they took out single player vs mode bugs m...

Nothing is unbeatable. Anything can happen at any time.

I will say that Nintendo will always remain a titan in the handheld market. If something does dethrone it, you can be rest assured it won't be easy in the slightest.

This crap is very similar to what Sony has done in the past. I hated it then, and I hate it now.

"Next generation doesn't start until we say so". I remember being livid at Sony when they came out and said that. Probably one of the most arrogant things I've ever heard. But the slow launch of the PS3 humbled them, and they started focusing on what made playstation playstation.. minus a lot of the arrogance. They're a much better company for it.

I'm 25 hours into my playthrough, and while I agree that SS sports some of the most accurate motion controls yet, perfect isn't the word I would use. There are some re-centering issues. They haven't occured too regularly, but it happens occasionally.

Aside from that issue, the controls are brilliant. Everything feels so natural, and the new gameplay aspects are amazing.

All of those Capcom-Disney games were special.

They somehow crafted kids games that could hang with the best of 'em. A concept that seems impossible today.

It's sad to me when I see Disney releasing shovelware adaptations of series that have no business being a video game. A far cry from producing one of the top 50 games ever made(IMO)...

I am, too. I made my dream picks, but my "old school" may be too old lol.

It's probably going to be some reboot to a series. Here is my dream idea:

Duck Tales: This will never happen. Back in the NES era, Nintendo, Capcom, and Disney could do no wrong. This was probably the brightest gem of that partnership. The only way this happens is if It gets a new dev and goes multiplat. The odds of these 3 teaming up again seem low IMO. Bring it back with NSMB style gameplay and remind the industry how to do a licensed kids game.

Another...

Hahahahaha wow. This isn't even worth a comment. Funny as hell, though. Yet it's sad that bigger outlets are producing pieces like this.

This generation has really distorted what commercial success is. Halo, Gears, and CoD aren't the norm. Each one of those is an exception and at least two of them can be defined as a phenomena.

4-6 million is good no matter the platform. I guarantee you that not much outside of those three series are going to come close to what these 3 can do week one. It's an unfair standard if there ever was one.

It comes in cycles. A few weeks ago it seemed like every "3DS is Doomed" piece was getting approved here. It comes with the territory, sadly. Every fanbase has to endure shit like this.

No need to worry, Sony Fans. The Vita is a great piece of kit and the numbers will reflect that in the long run. I'm a huge supporter of Nintendo handhelds, but I was very impressed with the Vita. Like I said, I'm on the other side, but I'll be very surprised if this kind of thrashing continues much longer. The Vita will likely outsell the PSP.

I've always stood by two things on this site: The Vita will be the strongest threat at Nintendo's crown, and I i...

One day I passed a Mammoth herd being led by a giant, and one of the Mammoths was in midair and upside down.

Looks like the trilogy's conclusion will be beyond epic. Absolutely can't wait for this.

I'm hyped, and I'm not even a fan of the genre. Let's see ND's spin on it.

For me it's MK64, followed by the DS version. The DS version was surprisingly balanced and solid in almost every aspect.

Here's a few of my unforgettable moments. Most of them are Nintendo related since that's what I grew up on.

Seeing Hyrule Field for the first time in OoT.

Finding out that the rival was champion in Pokemon red/blue.

Exploring Oblivion's vast world for the first time.

Laughing my ass off during the King Poo fight in Conckers Bad Fur Day.

I could go on and on. There's so many games I&#...

Reggie... I love ya, but please shut up. One of the great things about the Zelda franchise is that Nintendo, for the most part, stays out of this crap and let's the game do the talking. They're proud of Zelda, but it's usually in a humble way. This kind of arrogant crap isn't welcome in the eyes of this Nintendo fan.

I hold a similar opinion. I don't think a 10/10 means much anymore. Back in the 64/PS1 days, very few games recieved 10's. The only ones that come to mind are OoT and FFVII. There were a ton of good games during that era, too. Yet reviewers always found at least one reason to deny the game a perfect score. Back then, an 8/10 was an accomplishment. It signified that consumers were buying a great game.

With all that being said, it's sad to see people handing out 1...

LttP is probably the most approachable 2D Zelda game, due to the format it ushered in for 3D titles. It was ahead of it's time.
