Kind of a very quiet night for the game reveals. Yet another hint that Next gen systems are being revealed this June.

Anyway, IDK about that GOTY award. I think there were a lot of bigger games who probably should have taken it.

Looks pretty good. Naughty Dog always impresses me with their trailers. Like Uncharted, It's not my type of game, but for the people who do like this stuff it seems like they're getting something awesome.

I really want to know what this Megaton 3rd party IP revival is for Wii U. I think their "Fund n publish" strategy is great.

In addition to those days, Nintendo does Sunday for their notable IP's here.

I don't particularly buy a game releasing on a Saturday, though. I don't see any real reason for it to be an exception to Sony's release schedule.

I think Sony should try claiming a day for themselves when it comes to big 1st party releases, though. It's one of those little things that can make a game release feel a bit more special.

Very, VERY unlikely, but Earthbound on December 7th anyone?

It would certainly qualify as an old school franchise, and it would be the earth shaker Nintendo needs for the Wii U.

I'm intrigued, but Old School is such a broad term so I'm not going to get excited. If it's a platformer or an RPG, I'm definitely into it. If it's anything else, I probably won't care much.

I hope that we see at least something from Nintendo. I understand them wanting to focus on the now, but I think the system needs a big reveal that would make people get the system now to wait for it.

So bold prediction time. At the VGA's, Duc...

I don't think this is going to happen personally. I can see another price drop, but I just can't see it drop that much. It's only been about a year since that huge slash.

I can only imagine the insane numbers a $140 3DS would pull in, though.

To be honest, I am kind of underwhelmed by some things I've been hearing about the system. I'm not upset with graphical capability, because I can see some benefits of a more modest leap in tech. For example, it could serve as a home to smaller devs depending on how much more dev costs are going to be for PS4/720.

However, the slow OS, if true, is just sloppy IMO. Hopefully there's a resolution for it. Also, I think the battery life to charge time ratio is pretty w...

This series has always intrigued me, but there's no way I can stomach shelling out the cash to get the GBC game. ~$100 isn't that bad for a rare game, but too risky for me.

Now the DSi and 3DS versions might be an option. Are any of these games connected directly in any way?

Got 'em all except of LoT and CSGO.

Funny post, btw.

One thing that I respect Nintendo for is when they come to big decisions like this, they're willing to leave money on the table in order to maintain the integrity of the IP/company.

In another article related to this, Nintendo characterized the discussions as intensive. I bet they were. I have no doubt that Micro transactions in Animal crossing would have made the company a ton of money. With all the success stories of free to play, DLC in that vein had to be an attractiv...

Even though I haven't watched either in a while, this is very sad news for me. I remember the gold mine of gaming content and awesome shows just after the merger.

Xplay, AOTS, Judgement Day, Electronic Playground, Icons, Arena, Cinematech, Cheat, and a few others I can't remember the names to.

The channel was so great at one point. It's a shame it had to slowly implode the way it did.

RIP XPlay and AOTS. They were the two remaini...

I'm interested in voice acting, yet cautious. I hope Capcom is very careful when they dub this thing. The Japanese version has VA's established to some degree via the TV spots, but it's completely uncharted territory over here. I hope it turns out well.

I'm also interested in how much production values are going into this. It's going to look amazing, but will it feel like a phoenix game?

I can't wait for this game, but there is going...

Just wow at Pokemon. Those numbers are on a different planet from the rest of the list. It always amazes me when I see stuff like that.

Loved Nightfire. Until then, no other Bond game had the magic that Goldeneye had IMO, but this game came a lot closer to it than people thought it would. I remember my brother and I trying to take each other out with the heat seeking rocket launcher that had controllable bullets. Had a freakin blast with those.

Definitely my favorite post goldeneye game.

I really like how the limited sticker aspect is looking. The fact that you're only given that small space for stickers really adds depth to the gameplay. You have to think ahead to that next area, to that more powerful enemy. Random battles are going to feel refreshingly important because they directly affect what you can do in that next battle. I think people are going to underestimate the challenge this could bring.

I felt pretty disappointed when they revealed the &qu...

I can't wait to download Mario Golf. I've been playing it on emulator for the past year or so, waiting for it to come to the 3DS VC. The game is addicting as hell. The RPG-esque level up system gives the game a lot of replay value and depth. Yet its very pick up and play friendly. Definitely a good example of how to do a portable title IMO.

4863d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

IDK about never, but Nintendo has such a strong footing in the portable space that it's going to be very hard to beat them in terms of market share.

Nintendo, for about 20 years was able to build this culture around their portables. It ran virtually uncontested, so they were able to assemble a large fan base spanning generations.

As a new competitor, it's very, very hard to grab a decent market share in that type of environment. The PSP did a very goo...

It's crazy how much stuff they're throwing in here for a mid-gen title. Even half of it would have been an improvement from the old format in terms of mixing things up.

I'm kind of disappointed that they seem to be locking breeding until after you complete the plot. Don't really see the point in doing that.

Really looking forward to the tournaments.

I'll be getting Paper Mario. Never was a Luigi's Mansion guy and I haven't played any of the Layton games to completion.

Castlevania I'm kinda disappointed over. I LOVED the DS Castlevania games. I played the crap out of Dawn of Sorrow and Order of Eclessia. Portrait of ruin was also good, but it didn't really stick to me like the other two did. Seeing the way its being done on the 3DS kinda sucks for me.

In an unrelated note, I think...
