"Everyone is starting to talk about us. So hi there folks; yes, we're here."
That's basically what their response amounted to.
I don't know if they just tossed that up as they consult with lawyers or they're prepping for something else.
Here's the thing I've learned in these situations: When alleged with something of this magnitude you NEVER RESPOND. EVER.

We need some way to get the word out there in a mass way, though.
All the major sites are closing down their comment threads so other people can't be informed whenever these issues pop up.
It's like it's really hard to get momentum going when these people have so much reach to shutdown discussions and spread using their marketing connections.
I mean, WTF is up with Reddit and Neogaf? This is strai...
I hope more of the smaller sites jump on board. Right now a lot of the big guys have all aligned against gamers for no other reason than to support their cabal.
It's sickening and I hope that gamers stick to their guns and stop visiting those sites trying to destroy game culture.
It wasn't just that, it was the fact that this is coming from the side supposedly preaching inclusion and acceptance, but if you don't do things their way they go right to harassment and abuse of those who don't conform to their ideology.
Also, it's a good showing of someone who was harassed and didn't resort to e-begging to make money from said harassment.
This is true and I agree.
I've written my fair share of flamebait and I'll admit, I love partaking in the passionate and heated console war fights, but that's just me.
But the main thing is to take it all in strides and, at the end of the day, find the game(s) that remind you why you love gaming in the first place.
What I don't like are the current trend of pseudo-journalists demonizing gamers while partaking in sex scandals...
Ironically, the Dorito Pope and IGN have been clean in this so far. I know, I know. Shocking.
The Sims 4 thing warranted more exposure but beyond EA not having review copies available until AFTER the game releases was enough to send off warning bells.
But I'm not thinking the clearest here because I've barely gotten any sleep and I still have to comb through A LOT of information... we're still not done yet and the rabbit hole grows deeper.

Wow nice. I'm so glad other people are finally starting to write about them and their projects. It's good to see positive coverage on TFYC given the blackout from major game sites.

Keep up the good work here, though. The games media really need to be taken to tasks over their facetious attitude with their cronyism and autocratic agendas regarding what ...
I completely understand your point and I do agree. Gender-only or race-only or religion-only programs can came across as muddying the message when it's supposed to be about everyone accepting everyone.
I've never been big on any of the social justice stuff because I've been more concerned with gaming, console flame wars (so sue me, they're fun) and following all the up-and-coming indies.
However, in this rare case I think the success of the Fi...

My biggest problem with this whole "we're no longer gamers" is that they want to do exactly what you say they shouldn't be doing: meddling with the gaming industry.
The idea is that they feel the industry needs to be shaped in their vision of what should and shouldn't be allowed while at the same time shaming and demonizing anyone who disagrees with them (i.e., Dragon's Crown, Akiba's Trip, etc., etc.,)
If t...
That's fine. But just remember that these folks have hands no cleaner than those they condemn.

"On top of this I do not think it is worthwhile to donate to them since they have now made kissy faces with Zoe Quinn. That woman is detrimental to our community and the friend of my enemy is my enemy."
Whoa, whoa, whoa... they did NOT make kissy faces with Zoe Quinn... it was more like a fake smile and a wave goodbye.
Seriously, though, they outlined that their alt with her was absolutely toxic for them. They didn't even want her associated with ...
I could dig it. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Legends game (it was very underwhelming on the N64) but oh man did I love the Mega Man X series. I love to see some new games in that vein exclusively on Nintendo's systems.
I think that's a great idea.
The gaming community is being attacked for the crimes of a few trolls (i.e., harassment, etc.,) and showing support to equality-driven campaigns like TFYC would be a great way to "retaliate with kindness".
Unfortunately, the sad reality is that I think a lot of people probably don't even know what's actually going on (but if they do, then that's all the better).
Because it's called free-speech.
They're allowed to say it, but you can choose whether or not you want to read it.
He's doing the opposite of what they're doing during this media blackout on the whole corrupt journalism thing.
Supporting unfavorable opinions by at least allowing them to be shared keeps communication going.
Well it's up to you decide. I simply presented you the option.
It's not as if the other side would.
As mentioned in the article, DON'T spread the article, spread the word. If you want to block or DoNotClick every article you see my name attached to, then DO SO. The point of the article is to say you can actually enact change from the top down. I can say this because I'm adaptable. I love games regardless.
But if you really do...
Flamebait? Totally guilty of it, for sure.
Going head-first into console war trolling? Yep. Not going to deny it.
However, have I ever gone out of my way to demonize any sect, group, community or movement in game culture? Have I ever said that you core gamers need to give up the games you love in order to fit in with a specific agenda by a specific group?
These people are actively trying to CHANGE the industry and mold it into what they want....

After reading through your comments, I can understand your point of view on this.
I think both sides are using any ammo they can at this point; but I think her coming out with this helps alleviate the claim that only those on the side of the radical SJWs are being harassed.
Her story at least helps shape a different narrative that even females supporting #GamerGate are being harassed, which completely destroys the radical SJWs stance that only core gamers ar...
