Thanks for explaining that.
I do apologize if my comment(s) seemed crass. But thanks for offering your insight to provide better description quality on N4G. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. :)
Not really impatient to get approvals, it's just more as if a lot of this is nitpicking on stylistic choices.
Semi-colons can be used to form independent clauses. Semi-colons can also be used to form adjacent but independent topical phrases.
At the end of the day it's based on appropriate, grammatical structural flow. Are there pause breaks where they're supposed to be? Are the thoughts written according to the way they were intended to be read? ...
Oh snaps, Hive Jump looks really good. I need to add this game to my radar.
I'm also loving all these Kickstarters that include the Wii U as a mandatory release and not a stretch goal. The outpouring of support for Nintendo seems to be infectious in the core communities.
"Exactly who said the X1 had a hard time hitting 1080p with Diablo?"
Blizzard.
To quote Blizzard's own John Hight, as mentioned in the article you didn't read above...
"“We did find it challenging early on to get it to 1080p. That’s why we made the decision to drop to 900."
Great article; tons of information in there that brings about an interesting look at how games are portrayed in media by people with specific agendas.
I also agree with the opening statement about those within the industry being held accountable for their actions... almost feels like an off-hand strike that segues into another equally important discussion making its way through the gaming community at the moment. *cough* *cough*
Breaking Point? Is that a new mod? (sorry it's hard keeping up with every trend these days)
Resident Evil 4.
It was a bit painful to watch because even avid gamers had a tough time making use of the N64 controllers. I pretty much knew when Brosnan gave that look at the three-pronged, alien-designed controller, he wasn't going to be able to navigate so great.
He didn't do as bad as I thought, but it was still kind of painful to watch.
This site has TONS of gaming news, but it's always buried under the click-bait. Heck, there are plenty of sites that only focus on games, new games, old games, interesting games, game mods, etc., but that news barely gets above 40 degrees.
Either a lot of people just aren't as interested in that kind of news or that kind of news just isn't reaching its appropriate audience.
This is actually a well put together article, and I do agree with most of the points.
I think there was a time when a lot of little and middle-name sites kind of ruled N4G between 2008 and maybe 2010, where opinion pieces and news came from all over the place.
At this junction we're seeing smaller game sites kind of fade away in prominence while established sites continue to rule the day. This is not to say that smaller sites don't have a chance, beca...
Maybe if the big publishers didn't churn out so many crappy ports and put low effort into the games on Nintendo consoles, maybe Nintendo fans would buy their products?
"when I see grown man scream like little girls I facepalm every time"
Yep, real men don't scream... they just cry silently on the inside with man-whimpers.
It's free on PS4 and PC, but you need Xbox Live Gold to play it on Xbox One, so no it's not really F2P.
Does low-stream media count?
I was kind of hoping this game would get a good score. Glad to see it in the upper echelon of the review bracket... for a niche title, anyway.
Oh that trailer is beautiful.
Thanks for posting this!
This response from Fish is neither surprising nor unexpected.
Late 2014.
So uh... what was that about GTA V and piracy?
Hmmmm........

Visual damage saving over time is a real highlight for me, as it'll surely showcase the vets from the newbs in the game.
