*Takeaway from the interview:
Wu wants to go to senators to get laws in place to end movements like #GamerGate (very dangerous for the future of consumer revolts)
*Other lady doesn't want journalists/news media to report on both sides of the movement because "hate groups" don't deserve to have their side reported on.

What kind of nonsense is this? Why would you suggest that the media should be more biased instead...
We're trying to get the YouTubers to talk about this. That's all we need: for people to talk about this.
If you think this is bad, there are some other things coming up... ugly things.
But take note, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
#GamerGate wanted to root out corruption and so that's what's happening.
Dude, it's just shills and the agenda-pushing corrupt.
They're getting desperate because they're losing. #GamerGate has all the victories... all they have is "muh soggy knees".

Well worth the watch.
Jennie absolutely DESTROYED on that Huffington Post interview about #GamerGate. Glad she's on the gamers' side.
I heard about the free tablets for Watch Dogs. What was the exact deal with that? They just handed out free tablets to reviewers who showed up at the event? There was another discussion surrounding the ethics of that and whether or not general readers should be made aware via disclosure.
Instead of discussing realities why don't they write about them to the public? Or... DO something about these problems?
Your post is basically just sweeping their bad behavior under a rug. These people need to go. They can talk about corrupt practices and recognize them but they do NOTHING to change them.
Yep.
The first response someone makes in a heated discussion is usually the one they had intentioned to say.
In this case, he made it known that the PS4 wasn't being taken advantage of because if the Xbox One is hitting that performance spec then the console with more processing power should be able to hit that spec and then some. So the question becomes, why isn't the PS4 version taking advantage of the "then some"?
It'...
Polygon and Kotaku didn't change their policies. They half-admitted that they would disclose some ties.
They didn't do a site-wide policy overhaul like Defy Media and The Escapist Magazine, or Destructoid.
When the major offenders get serious about real ethics then they can be let off the hook. But I doubt that will happen.
YouTubers aren't exempt from scrutiny, but #GamerGate shouldn't take any of the focus away from the corrupt games media currently plaguing the major online websites.
I say get rid of the rotten weeds first and then focus attention on the YouTubers. Unlike the rotten weeds, at least many YouTubers agreed to transparency and disclosure when the XB1M13 fiasco transpired.
It IS tackling real corruption within the industry.
Just Google up the GameJournoPros, or EA's attempt to hide 40,000 users who were hacked and only managed to get exposed because of a whistleblower. You know who helped keep it a secret? A game journalist... because they didn't want to ruin the relationship they had with EA's PR.
Ben Kuchera and Kyle Orland have been exposed for the frauds that they are. Feel free to ignore how they've manipul...

Too much political bias.

Destroy the corrupt. Raise the righteous.
;)
If you have proof of these threats and a concrete link to these threats coming from actual gamers, feel free to let me know.
The person who sent threats to Sarkeesian was neither confirmed to be a man or a gamer. If we're going purely on FACTS, we cannot exercise prejudice based on preconceived agendas.
Also, remember, that GameJournoPro member mentioned that it only takes a few hundred e-mails. So if everyone concentrates their efforts on Nvidia then the same thing can happen like with Intel.
Don't be intimidated, don't be afraid. The future of the gaming industry rests in your hands.
The fire rises.
I'd like to see this dragged out into the open more often. We'll be able to better determine who to support and who not to support based on deals we're made aware of regarding paid reviews.
As long as the truth has a conduit to get exposed, it'll always sting those who have something to hide.
It's funny seeing how Orland and Kuchera have now gone running and hiding from the discussion. At the very least, they're no longer using their platforms to discredit #GamerGate, which is great for the movement.
This is true.

Native ads... transmedia promotion... "commerce journalism".
So how will the rest of media spin this? Anti-#GGers are attacking GamersGate because they're getting it confused with #GamerGate, and they're sending threats and abuse to the digital distributor.
How can the media flip this one?
I'd be willing to bet they'll bury this faster than Atari could get those E.T. cartridges into the landfill in New Mexico.
