No one said it had to be exclusive.. all they had to do was implement a few PC features like toggling AA or better interface design, higher res textures, stuff like that.

Probably working on the multiplayer portion. Timesplitters had pretty good multiplayer, didn't it? Haven't played that game in a long time, and not very much either, so I don't remember if it was any good.

This must mean that the 360 is as fast as a gaming PC.. right?

Sorry but no. I don't think Bioware deserves credit for not taking advantage of PC hardware.

It has a worse metacritic score on PC, because PC games don't fall into hype as easily as console owners. It takes a lot more to satisfy a pc owner than a console owner, and rightfully so.

I find it funny that you mention both price and big TVs in the same sentence.. I don't know about you but all the big TV's I see cost more than a gaming PC.

Also, do you really think they made the PC version of mass effect first, pushing the PC to its limit, and then the 360 version after, making it equal to the PC? No, it is the other way around, where the 360 version was created first and the PC version is ported from that.

I have been playing the game and I agree. The RPG aspect of the game has been toned down since the first game. As much as the first game needed fixing I think they toned it back a bit too far.

The game is still very good though, but it isn't just an RPG, its also a shooter, so you could possibly say the best Shooter RPG of all time.

Those are PS3 sales he posted for MW2, its more than 10 million on 360 and PS3 combined. And if you really think numbers mean anything with regards to quality you are only fooling yourself.

People dislike MW2 because its NOT a good game. They screwedover a lot of people and are basically going for a huge cash grab here. Same engine with minor features added, most of which are old features most engines already have. It has and extremely short single player campaign. MP is basicall...

So, the major complaint for Uncharted 2 is that it isn't another genre? It's not a sandbox game, or an RPG, or something other than what it tried to be? That would make sense, if it did a terrible job. Or if it was unpopular. Since it was not a failure in quality or popularity, I don't see how that kind of criticism is constructive.

In fact, it sounds incredibly stupid: "Uncharted 2 should have been a different game entirely!" is what I'm getting from this..

Yep been running Win7 64 since the RC1 came out.. was great even before it was out on retail. First time I've actually bought an OS, used to get them for free through my university, but I've graduated since :p

It probably wouldn't work even if they were only a state over.

Ping to other multiplayer servers would be a bit different. It wouldn't apply to input lag in the same way playing from your own PC wouldn't. Reason is that you don't send your keyboard and mouse inputs over to the game server you're connected to, input lag is only the measure of latency between the inputs you're using and seeing the result displayed on your monitor. Input lag is far more frustrating if its noticeable...

I really don't think this will perform that well.. You will need very low latency. According to this article about input lag http://www.anandtech.com/vi... about 100ms input lag from a mouse movement to the display on the screen is where you'll start to notice a delay. They also measured TF2 input lag, and it was always under 100, hitting a maximum of 89ms.

Now, thats just from your mouse...

Not entirely true, I don't think that 20GB of data for MGS4 is uncompressed (or at the very least, you wouldn't gain a lot of space from compression). At any rate, you'd need at least 3 DVD9s, reason being MS uses up a portion of each disc for its own libraries and disc protection. I think I read that portion being 1-1.5GB per disc, pretty sure Carmack from id was complaining about it. so that leaves you ~7GB per disc plus space for any common assets would be repeated on each disc, unless you...

Being able to use any harddrive you want would be even better. Of course that is never going to happen, how would MS make money off that?

@heroicjanitor

BluRay is backwards compatible with DVDs.. but anyway they could easily make an attachment like they did with the HD-DVD drive.

I can't stand Pachter because he makes stuff up, and I'm not talking about his predictions. He says stuff that is blatantly wrong, acting like he's an expert on the topic: case in point, PC hardware. The guy doesn't have a clue how a PC works or what it's role is in the industry, yet he makes statements about what a PC can't do and people believe him.

It's a pet peeve for me when people pretend to be an expert on things when they really aren't.

And yes Geoff Keighley...
