When Pachter predicted Natal will cost around $50 a few months back, it was one of the only times I agreed with him. I just don't see why it would have to be anymore than $50.

I don't believe these rumours of $150 though, I'm not saying I'm still agreeing with Pachter, but I don't see how charging that much will help to extend the 360s life, unless Natal really is the revolution that MS are claiming, which I don't believe either.

I wou...

"Also to those thinking another Killzone game is going to be "awesome" or whatever, just remember, putting 2 games out in 2 years has it's drawbacks."

Worked out pretty well for the likes of Uncharted, Assassins Creed, Motorstorm, Resistance, Bad Company etc.

"2 years just isn't enough to do much"

Was plenty of time for the likes of Uncharted, Assassins Creed, Motorstorm, Resistance, Bad Company etc.

Well lo and behold, Pachter is finally right about something - Being wrong!

-"I wont wear glasses to game or watch movies"
-"I know a lot of people who want nothing to do with 3-D and it's retarded glasses."
-"Personally I will never, EVER wear glasses to play a game and people shouldn't have to."

But nobody has to, not everybody can even see 3D.
Every 3D game and 3D Bluray movie that will be released in the future will have a 2D version aswell, so you and the people you know will always ...

Do you honestly think that this new 3D has been "brought back" as a "stopgap" to benefit games consoles. So the millions that movie studios and TV manufacturers are investing in this new tech is all to act as a "stopgap" for the console market? I knew I should have stopped reading after your opening sentences but for some reason I just kept going.

I don't think you can compare stereoscopic 3D to old style 3D. The only comparison I can see is ...

Curling would be an excellent addition. The curling in Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics is great fun and very strategic.

Definately going 3D at some point but doubt it will be this year, bit too expensive at the moment.
Saw the 60" Panasonic on show yesterday in the local shopping centre and got to see a 1 minute demo on it. It looked fantastic but I wasn't impressed with the panasonic glasses as they feel a bit front heavy and didn't feel very comfortable especially on the bridge of my nose they also didn't look very cool considering they are £100 a pair.

Michael Pachter is only good at two things:

1. Being wrong

and

2. Stating the bleeding obvious

@ below:
"Where can a brotha get hooked up on a job like that????"
You could try a weather forecaster ;)

I have always found the "because it's fun" statement to be very shallow and rather meaningless.

If you try something for the first time and find it fun it will probably make you want to come back for more. However, after a while the fun factor will dissipate and if there is nothing else there to make it appealing there is no other reason to come back.

The first time I played Wii sports I found it fun, it was with a room full of people and we ha...

"removing linux, BC, and other features to save a buck"

LOL!

Personally, I don't think any of the things you mentioned were blunders:
"The launch of PS3 at 600 bux was a huge blunder" - PS3 for $600 dollars was a great deal considering its manufacturing cost was over $1000.

"PS3 is now in 3rd place instead of leading the market li...

I love playing Mario Kart Wii with the wheel, it's the only way I have ever played it. I hope MNR has the option to steer with the sixaxis, I don't think I'll enjoy it as much as the Wii Wheel but I'd like to give it a shot.

I agree with you 2spock. I played in the beta and there is no way this game is as good as Mario Kart. Mario Kart Wii is still the most fun game I've played this gen.

Completely disagree with the article:
'Mario Kart is a broken game'- no it isn't.
'the AI rubberbands'- All Mario Kart games have been guilty of this and it's only annoying until you get good, then you realise it's a necessity.
'there isn't much you can do defensively'- There's plenty you can do def...

"Sure you can play Socom 4 with Move, but honestly are you going to go online and play other players with move in Socom 4. You get your ass handed to you on a silver platter by some guy with a controller"

I fail to understand why you think this is going to be the case.

Have you played Resident Evil 4 on Wii?

If so, didn't you notice how much easier the Wiimote and nunchuck controllers made the game in comparison to the gamecube and PS2 versions...

Some of us do (Al Bundy), some of us don't (me). However, we were all told that we would never get to play it on our PS3s.

I had RE4 for both PS2 and Wii and without a doubt the Wii edition was the best because of the controls. However, because the game has already come to Wii with motion controls and it's also about 5 years old I personally would not be excited about it coming to PSmove. I loved the game on Wii but certainly not enough to purchase it for a third time even if it turns out to be HD.

I use the PS3s internet browser quite frequently, it's not as good as using my laptop but I would far rather have the option than not have it at all.

On a side note, wouldn't Natal potentially help with the TV web browsing 'experience' with it's voice recognition and motion gesture controls. For example: You say 'bing' and the search engine comes up, you then say whatever it is your wanting to search and then just point to the web page you want to view.

I've already witnessed the mess that is FIFA Wii and my advice to EA would be stick to the standard controller.

Konami, on the other hand, have added substantial improvements to the football genre with their Wii iterations so I fully expect to see PSmove support in the next PES installment. All 3 PES games on PS3 have been dissapointing and the addition of PSmove support could be what it needs to inject a bit of life into the series.

FIFA 10 on PS3 is a decent game, ...
