What a silly way this author appears to have used percentages.
The way it should be done in this instance is 100% = the combined preorders on 360 and PS3 then a share of that 100% is allocated to each platform based on the preorder figures. For example for every 62 preorders on 360 there were 38 preorders on PS3, the way this guy has done it means nothing, why did he even bother converting the figures to percentages?
I have no problem with accepting that some people will prefer the presentation of FIFA because they don't understand the depth of PES.
However, I don't understand why you are singling out my comment. iistuii was the one that attacked Kroganwrex's comment with his uneducated remarks, I think HE may be the one that can not accept other peoples opinions.
Sure FIFA has more teams, the correct team/ player names, the strips, the badges, the leagues and the decent commentary but it doesn't have the addictive, rewarding and satisfying gameplay of PES and all the polish of FIFA means nothing compared to that.
I switched to FIFA last year and lost interest in it within a month so I switched back to PES this year and I'm pretty sure I'll still be playing PES 2010 up until the release of PES 2011, just the way it should be.

I didn't realise there was a performance issue when including motion controls.
I'm on the fence when it comes to buying into the wand controller. If it is not included as a control option for AAA games then it's a definate no-no for me. Just yet another peripheral that won't be given the chance to reach it's potential.
"but remember the wands are an extra peripheral, unlike the Wii which has motion controls as standard to the console, so not everyone is going to hav...
If there are 11 million PS3s sold worldwide in 2009 and 10 million 360s sold then the PS3 has outsold the 360. Even if all those PS3s were sold in one region it has still outsold the 360 worldwide in 2009, that's the way worldwide sales work, idiot!
If the wand is an option for the likes of KZ3 and R3 then surely it will be a necessity.
Imagine using the traditional controller against players using the wand, most people wouldn't stand a chance. This is, ofcourse, assuming that it would be similar to the Wii FPS controls.
Aiming with the Wiimote is instant, I'm not a PC gamer but I would say that it can potentially be as quick and accurate as using a mouse. Now imagine using the Dualshock3 against a player using a m...
With the likes of Resistance 3 and Killzone 3 coming at some point after the release of the motion wand, there's a good chance the wand will be a controller option for them, presumably similar to the wiimote controls for wii FPS games. If this is the case surely the wand will be a necessity when it comes to online play. Personally I enjoyed some FPS games on Wii including Metroid 3 and MOH Heroes 2 so I would welcome this control option.
What's everybody elses views on motion controls ...
'next-gen'???
This is this gen, this gen was next-gen last gen.
If we're still calling this gen next-gen what are we going to call next gen? Next-next-gen? real-next-gen? Gen-after-next-gen?
And technically Super Mario Galaxy has the highest meta-score for an exclusive THIS gen. It has 97 from 73 reviews.
BTW, I own a PS3 and have never played SMG, I just like being the arsehole that points these things out.
"the makers of pes said so taht they will make bad game for two years
and ask us the fans to be patient"
Why make the games at all. Just ask us to be patient. Instead they release what they know are bad games expecting us to buy them anyway just because there PES - That's bullsh1t.
I support no company with that amount of disrespect for their consumer. Any company or product has to earn my money, I don't just buy anything because of it's name.

You're getting the disagrees because people disagree. Killzone 2 had no control problems. The controls may well be a reason for it not selling well, but not because they were bad or had problems, it's because people didn't give it time to adjust to them. If they did, they'd realise they were the best FPS console controls going (not including Wii).
I spent months playing it before moving onto World at War. The fast/ floaty movements of the characters in World at War were just so second ...
Same here. Batman Arkham Asylum then Killzone 2. But Uncharted 2 may take the crown.
Batman is frickin' genius though!
I'd imagine the supermarket offers had something to do with this. In the UK Asda, Tesco and Morrisons supermarkets had it available for around £25 for a limited time (the first 4 days after release). That's £15 cheaper than a standard release game here in the UK.
I'm in 2 minds about getting this game but I was doing my weekly shop in Asda yesterday and if it wasn't sold out I would have bought it for that price. I could trade it in at Gamestation when PES comes out and get m...
I'm still undecided on this years releases - either FIFA 10, PES 10 or giving them both a miss.
I found FIFA 09 good with good features and online but not as addictive (gameplay-wise) as a good PES release.
What don't you like about FIFA 10? What have they changed?
I've never set up a Japanese account to access the store, I might try that.
It certainly is silly releasing a demo with such serious flaws.
That is the option I'm considering aswell.
I went for FIFA last year after being a PES faithful since PES 2 on PS2. I love the online aspect of sports games and PES 2008 was crap so I decided to switch.
I was going to switch back to PES this year because I do still prefer it's gameplay to FIFA, but I was dissapointed by the gameplay of the PES 2010 demo, although it was better than the 2009 demo. Maybe I just need to spend a bit more time readjusting to the PES controls.
Anybody got FIFA 2010? Is it noticably bet...
I sold my Wii over a year ago but when I did own it my most played games were Pro Evolution Soccer, Mario Kart Wii and Wii Bowling.
Mario Kart Wii in particular is a fantastic game, can't believe you never included that on your list, even the online aspect is brilliant.
The way Konami utilised the Wii's controlls for a football game were truly revolutionary and, IMO, Pro Evo Wii is the best football game of the current gen. I hope we see the same controls for th...
Briefly played 2008 & 2009 and hated them. Used to love the PES series on PS2 but they have only dissapointed on current gen consoles.
Really hope this years is better because FIFA is no substitute.
It is the writers fault for writing this ridiculous article in the first f***ing place.
For Nintendo, the Wii has done everything right. It's become the fastest selling console of all time and has been selling at a profit from day one.
For the gamer, not that much.
