That will make for an interesting comparison between Arc and wiimotion plus. We'll be able to see for ourselves exactly how much more accurate Arc really is.
I want to see Konami use Arc for Pro Evolution Soccer 2011.
You're right, to a certain extent. Sony will have to be very clever with the advertising otherwise the casual Wii owning crowd are going to see the commercials and think it's just a wii rip off. However us people in the know will know better.
Surely the nunchuck device will be wireless, won't it?
The cable connecting the wiimote to the nunchuck can be a pain. I remember playing red steel on the wii and doing that move with the 2 swords when you lift the 2 controllers above your head and pull down. The cable would keep slapping me in the back of the head every bloody time and when you've got no hair like me it can start to sting after a while.
I traded in Modern Warfare 2 for it aswell. Got £30 for the trade in at Gamestation, not bad considering I bought it for £32 from Asda when it first came out.
If this is true then I'm sure it will be optional. However if it is an option for multiplayer it will be a necessity, the speed and accuracy of the 'arc' will be far greater than the dualshock 3.
I'm up for this though, Killzone in stereoscopic 3D will look great and I enjoy how FPS games control with the Wiimote so it's win win win in my book.
Unless you've actually played it, then it's OK.
Yup, it's fixed got my dynamic themes back and trophies are sorted.
So did February 2008, but I don't recall that causing any problems.
The theory appears to be that the PS3s internal clock is configured to treat every even numbered year as a leap year, problems are ocurring now because 2010 is the first even numbered non leap year since the PS3s release.
There's a difference.
360 fans everywhere on this site are hyping Natal as the next big thing, where as you will be hard pushed to find a PS3 fan hyping Arc.
The PS3 fans appear to have their feet well and truly on the ground when it comes to the upcoming motion control add-ons.
You might see the odd PS3 fan here and there saying he can't wait to play RE5 with Arc, but at least that comment is justified. We've seen it in action and we know what to expect bec...
I watched Master Chef on my PS3 on BBC iplayer last night, what's the big freakin' deal???;)
I'd like to see Dynamic themes used as preorder incentives.
How much is the PS eye in the US? It's £25 here in the UK. I don't see any reason as to why Natal should be much more expensive than that, £30-£35 sounds about right, as far as I'm aware thats around the 50 USD mark, isn't it?
The wireless adapters and hard drives have always been Microsofts money makers when it comes to hardware, stick a cheap price tag on the entry level console to draw in the niave consumers (parents, young kids etc) then make the profit when th...
ban this freaking idiot!
I said "THESE games better than THE original" refering specifically to the games being discussed - sega all stars racing, modnation racers and mario kart, I assumed that would have been easy enough to understand. Mario kart has continued to dominate the kart racing genre throughout each gen since the snes days, where as the FPS genre has evolved a fair bit since the days of doom and the original wolfenstien so I'm afraid it is you sir who is coming it with the blanket statement.
I am quite certain the main reason the original sold so well was because there was very little else to buy on the Wii at that time. That was the reason I bought it, it was also the only reason I bothered to complete it.
The sequel does look a lot better, however I'm wondering how many people will give it a miss because of their experiences with the first one.
If Mario Kart's to slow, then you're doing it wrong.
I've never noticed any framerate issues with Mario Kart Wii, the odd jitter online maybe but overall even the online is excellent.
ModNation racers was quite bad though, however I imagine that's more to do with it being a beta than anything else, I can't see it being an issue in the final build.
I downloaded the Mod Nation Racers Beta and played it quite a bit. Very good fun and the track editor is far more intuitive than Little Big Planets level editor, I could certainly get hours of play from that so I will be getting Mod Nation.
The controls were still not as tight as Mario Kart though. I want to see the sixaxis as a control option for Mod Nation as I prefer using the wheel for Mario Kart Wii and would like to see how the two compare.
No way are these clones better than the original.
And anybody banging on about the amount of luck in Mario Kart is just crap at Mario Kart. Sure your going to get struck by lightning ocassionally and hit by the blue shell every now and again, but if you're good enough you'll still pull it back and win.
I don't have a Wii anymore but my sister does and when I visit her it's always the first game I make her put on. I've spent many hours playing split screen with her, h...
Motion controls can be a gimmick when they are forced onto games that don't need them and as a result they add nothing but frustration to the experience. Sonys wand is an add-on so there is no reason for it to be forced onto a game that won't benefit from it.
Some Wii games are fantastic because of the motion controls - FPS and TPS games are brilliant when done properly. Bowling, golfing, tennis, snooker and curling are all great fun. They are the types of games I want to see b...
