I have only had one 360 die on me, but any way you look at that it isn't good. Really sucks when a demo dies, kinda sends the wrong message :-S
You would have to think it has something to do with GTA4 right? It is going to be a big seller so maybe a cheaper sku bundled with GTA4 to increase sales might be it. I guess anything is possible though.

I am thinking about a Wii just for the fun of bowling and games like that. It would be good for party games. I think anyone will pick up a Wii and have a go, compared to pulling out your 360 or PS3 if you had friends over that don't play video games. That is unless you have something like guitar hero for the 360 or PS3. That is a great one. The interactivity of the Wii is doing so well.
That makes sense, they probably want to sell as many of the stock they have left before they can't sell them anymore. I wonder what happens to the stock of hd dvd players in warehouses when toshiba officially pulls the plug.

I don't see the blu-ray add-on being used for games, so why would current 360 owners have to buy it? I have no doubt in my mind that the next console from microsoft will however have a blu-ray drive in it for games.

Agreed dude (on the kids part, i still like Obama more, but Clinton would be far better than any republican :-P), there are far to many little kids playing violent video games. I can't even count the number of 10 to 14 yr olds i used to run into playing Gears of War. Plus i am sure lots of these kids just play vids all day long. They need to get outside so that they don't become an obese statistic.

Not mad, i am actually happy that there is just one format now. I picked up an HD DVD player in boxing day sales and took it back 3 days later when warner switched. Having one format is win win for me because now i can buy without the chance of the format i bought going down the toilet :-). I am a fan of gaming and movies, not of companies that produce them.
Lets face the facts here boys and girls, an blu-ray add-on for the 360 will probably still be lacking like the blu-ray capabilites of the PS3. If you want full capability then a stand-alone unit is the only way to go.

It always amuses me how people don't seem to realize that companies like sony, microsoft, toshiba, panasonic,.... don't care about stupid crap that fanboys care about, they really care about money. I know this might surprise some people but that is it. Businesses like making money. If microsoft think they can sell a blu-ray add-on and make money then i think they will release one. Once toshiba officially drops hd dvd, surprise surprise i think they will start making blu-ray players.
