We should be fine in Canada, people don't really seem to make a huge deal over video games like in some other countries. We don't have that "video games turn our children into killers" crowd
Isn't the number of 9 million movies sold seem a little low to other people? Considering there are 11m PS3s and lots of other standalones too, i though that number would have been higher. Good to see sales are picking up though.

I don't know why people cheat at stupid stuff like achievements and boosting ranks and that kind of thing. Seems like a big waste of time, people should just play the games and enjoy them.
Agreed, it is all down to personal taste. I find COD4 is more realist and tactical since it is based on real life. Halo 3 is all scifi but is also sweet.
If you read around the likes of AVSForum you will find lots of movie enthusiast that bought HD DVD don't mind that it lost because now all the movies are dead cheap. There are people buying hundreds of movies because now they can get the HD movies that they love for dirt cheap. Many of them also own Blu-ray so why would they buy the movie on blu-ray if they can get it on HD DVD for more than half the price in some cases?

That makes sense but the problem is that PS3 owners will say PSN is better and 360 owners will say live is better. Just look at the people arguing and see what console they own :-P

Did two people disagree because they can think you can play halo 3 on a PS3 or because they think xbox live isn't the best online service for a console?
We pay because xbox live is a sweet service and $50 a year is nothing in the grand scheme of things. For me personally, someone said free on PS3 is an option but i can't play halo 3 on it so it isn't really an option at all.
I think GTA is going to sell like hotcakes on both consoles. For PS3 and 360 owners alike it is going to be a sweet game so it doesn't really matter for all of use in here if it pushes consoles or not because we already have the means to enjoy this excellent game.
If you walk into a store i think you would have to be blind if you still thought it was only coming out on one console. Plus there are lots of adds out there for it coming to both consoles.
GTA has always been a casual game. It is one of the ultimate sitting around with some friends having a few beers, "lets run a few people over and do some jumps" before we head out game.
I agree i am a fan of bonus features too, but most of the online ones to date seem to be junk. That isn't to say they won't get better, but i don't see how that means early adopters are screwed.
I have to agree with Booyah. I think people are making a huge fuss over internet connectivity, i can honestly say i never used any of those bonus features on my HD DVD player. The ethernet port is good for upgrades but that is about it, most of those online bonus materials are crap. If you have something like a BD30 right now, i don't see how you are screwed.
Can't say i read that article. All i can say is that if ha has a system that extensive then he must have a sweet universal remote control (maybe with the IR adapter) and/or the PS3 remote or a controller for playing movies. Can't say that is my cup of tea though. I love pressing my Watch Movie or Play Game button and seeing my theatre come to life instead of juggling remotes and changing settings. I think anyone with a good universal remote would agree with me.
