Malaria pills added a bit of a nerve-wrecking feature to the game but the jamming guns kept me alert. The problem is that without those "realistic" features the game, on the outset, basically becomes another run-and-gun Call of Duty clone.

The major problem with perception is how information is conceived.

While there are almost more female gamers than male gamers, what the stats don't always put into context is that this is for casual gaming. As we all know, casual gaming trumps core gaming in massive bills.

I'm not saying there aren't female core gamers, just that casual gaming has always been the bigger piece of the gaming pie, and women make up for a majority of that pie.

See this is a company who understands horror. Amnesia was an atmospheric horror game...it felt scary because it felt like you were alone, and helpless and up against something beyond your control.

It was also pretty cool because the game was highly interactive and free-flowing, showing that you don't have to move like a tank with stiff-as-a-rod-up-Ron-Paul' ;s-rear-end controls to make the game scary.

I find it funny that IGN has not been tackling anything negative about EA as vigilant as the smaller sites. I wonder why that is? Do you think it has anything whatsoever to do with the fact that one of their employees was in one of the biggest RPGs of the year?

That's not to mention that the two biggest gaming websites on the net have turned into one big joke of an advertising blob.

I hope this EA as America's worst stays in the news for a while. Good...

I think most people understand that point and most gamers want gaming to be fun. The flame wars that were going on before are nothing compared to what's happening in the industry right now.

All the yelling, crying and screaming over what Capcom is doing needs to keep going (although it's looking like it's quite pointless because they don't seem to be bending for nothing).

And at least BioWare is being responsive to their community. But promoti...

Yeah it looks especially cool and works quite effectively in the Trials Evo scheme.

You guys had an intelligent, insightful discussion about real-world economics that could actually inform people....GTFO!!!

No seriously, bubbles to you two.

Yeah but I don't want Capcom getting any of my money thinking it's okay to lock out 30% of the content.

I'll just wait until the Super Extra Herp Derp Turbo Edition, and I'll probably get it used just to make sure they don't get any of my money.

I'd hate to see a game like this bomb, but if that's what it takes to get the point across to Capcom...keep on keeping on.

It's hard holding out too...I'm in a real fix for a good fighter =/

Or, you know...they could do what Namco does with Tekken...just, add as much in and make it where you play to unlock the content to extend the replay value.

I don't know where you anti-constumerist come from but I wish you would go back to that place.

We don't like your kind 'round these parts.

Great article. I'm glad this site spins it from the perspective of the consumer.

Why the heck are so many big sites anti-consumerist these days? Really bugs my nerves.

Agreed. That dev sounds like a retard.

Seriously? Higher costs for poly count? This fool must not have heard of Zbrush or Mixamo.

No wonder costs are skyrocketing...game development is being run by monkeys.

OMG...dude...bubbles.

I nearly tipped over laughing....

Fat fanboys and skinny fanboys from the Microsoft and Sony camp meeting face-to-face...if the hideous appearances don't scare each other off (real-life trollface?) I imagine the inhuman body odor will.

Or...potentially...I don't know....maybe....just maybe...

People hate EA?

If that game happens to be an EA game then you're already risking not being able to play it online. Remember those online passes expire and servers shut down within two years.

Also, Modern Warfare 2 was still $50 when Modern Warfare 3 came out.

Very interesting article.

Funny how the legal department makes more than the guys who actually make the games.

That's messed up right there.

I wonder how much the marketing managers make? After seeing EA's $747 million dollar marketing budget I'd imagine it's more than it should be.

yes, yes they are trolling and they need to troll just a little harder so that eventually they go bankrupt.

Keep it up Capcom...and stay classy.

Where the heck are the numbers?

How can you title the article "Is Sega in trouble?" and then completely ignore the financials that surround the so-called "trouble?"

And this is coming from the BIGGEST gaming website on the internet. Am I missing something? Aren't they supposed to be informing us?

No breakdown of Sega's 2011 quarterlies to compare and see if their net profits are up or down? No quotes on operating c...

WTF was the author smoking?

Did EA, Activision or some other hard-up pub pay this guy to promote their agenda for him?

Really?

$60 for six-hour FPS games you'll play once and never again?

What the heck happened to video game writers championing the consumer? Have they all gone down the drain for supporting the corporatist agenda? REALLY?

And what would make EA do anything different with WWE that they haven't done with MMA?

Didn't they just shut down the servers for that game?
