I did it for the same reason. I could either pay $40 for a new DS3 or pay an extra $10 and get the PSTV, game, and 8gb memory card. Seemed like a no brainer to me. This is in addition to the fact that I already own (and love) a PSTV. I guess I now have a spare.
The hard part was actually getting it. I was on the site right as the deal became available, and I still missed out on the first round. I got put on the wait list and suddenly I got notified that I had 45 seconds to ad...
It always makes me laugh because when someone says it only takes them 10 hours to get through the game, that usually translates into 15 for me. I'm guessing someone who plays a 10 hour game straight through in one day is a little more hard-core than I am. I don't even think I could sit and play 10 hours straight even if I had the time.
Rumor: Gallahad turns into a goat at the end of the game.
Jumping aboard the steampunk train! I love it. I wish we could get more cool steampunk games. This is going to be a perfect fit for the Vita.
There is a demo, so feel free to try it out. Who knows, maybe it'll be more your thing (though probably not).
Nice to see that some of the classics still work in today's world of gaming. I miss the old LucasArts adventure games and am really glad that they're making a comeback on PlayStation.
I've been playing this game almost non-stop since Tuesday, and I agree. It's a 9 at least in my book. This is a fantastic (and exclusive) Vita title. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite games.
Thanks for the review. I literally knew absolutely nothing about this game, and while it seems like it might be interesting, I think I'm going to have to pass.
Though never say never...
I own both a Vita and the PSTV, and I say get both. Each can do something the other can't. The Vita can play more games (such as Uncharted and Gravity Rush) but the library for the PSTV is also pretty big with titles like Freedom Wars, Killzone Mercenary, and Borderlands 2. Some of those games look great on a big screen.
The PSTV can be a better Remote Play experience since you get to use a controller that has all the buttons, but you don't get the portability.
No. I highly doubt they will. Just because a studio has a successful exclusive does not mean they will be purchased. Everyone said Quantic Dream would be purchased, but that never happened. thatgamecompany made a number of highly successful exclusives, but they were never purchased. Insomniac has also produced a number of PlayStation only games, but they're still on their own.
Sony might fund new projects but it makes no sense for them to purchase another studio. They'...
It is and it isn't. You can only sign up for the subscription on a PS4, but once you're signed up you can play it the games anywhere.
I got the subscription and have been playing Sniper Elite on my Vita and PSTV.
So you can buy two games used in which the original developer doesn't see a dime? Why not just pirate the game and save your $3?
It's nice to see that the only game I'm interested in this month is also free on PS+.
I love indies. The fact is that the "indies" of today are of better than the AAA games I played just a few years ago. A lot of the them appeal to me in a nostalgic way, but mainly they appeal to me for their solid game play. I loved the 8/16 bit games from years ago and with good gameplay, I love those types of games today.
This is a great deal. The PSTV is a fantastic console and I use mine constantly. I also have a PS4, PS3, and a couple Vitas, but there are so many things that the PSTV does right that it makes it my go to console for so many games.
Plus, if you've been a PS+ subscriber for a few months, you already have a ton of games. But I'd have to say that most people would still be better off going for the $99 bundle and getting the memory card, controller, and free game.
My dentist has that game playing constantly in the kids' waiting area. It's not bad at all.
I actually just finished Remember Me the other day and really enjoyed it. It was free with PS+ last year and it's a fun game with a good story.
Saw the trailer for the movie the other day, and I'm actually interested in this game. It might not be as bad as I originally anticipated.
I didn't understand the service fully until just recently. I have a PS3 and already own most of those games. Why would I want something like this.
Then I used it and the light bulb went off.
I started a game in my living room on my PS4 and played through the first two levels. Then I picked up the game on my Vita while waiting at the library. Then I continued the game in my office on my PSTV. I could play the same game on any console I have, wherever I happen to be...
They were also selling Far Cry 4 for 50% off. Does Far Cry have no future?
Sony needs to learn that to sell the PSTV, they need to do what they do with their other consoles. Sell it at a loss at times and provide high value bundles.
