My top missing feature didn't make the list.
I want to be able to store my photos and videos on the console. My PS3 is my primary way I view home pictures and movies and I don't understand why the PS4 can't do this. For crying out loud, even the Vita and PSTV have this ability.
I also want to be able to use a media remote with the console. You can use one through HDMI control for basic functions, but it all goes to hell when watching Netflix. Again, this i...
After playing it, a 2/10 seems generous. I guess it's functional, which is at least a point or two.
The best part of waking up is some Vita news in podcast form. Thanks guys.
My problem was that I had played most of the LucasArts adventure games up to that time.
Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2, Curse of Monkey Island, Loom, Sam and Max, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Full Throttle, and The Dig (most of which I still own).
Then when Grim Fandango popped up, it was their first game that was in 3D. For someone used to all those 2D based games, the jump to 3D was strange. It didn't play as smooth as the other ...
I'll admit it: I was not crazy about Grim Fandango when it originally launched. The transition to the 3D adventure game was jarring at the time and the game wasn't good enough to compensate.
I'm hoping that the remake is better. At the very least, 3D games won't be a foreign entity to me anymore.
That's because they're great games :)
I'm rather enjoying it. It's nothing fancy (obviously) but there's a simple/fun element to it that I find appealing.
That said, I'm glad it was free on PS+ because I don't think I would have picked this one up on my own dime. But now that I have it, I find I go to it for a quick game now and then.
It's a boon all right. Now all those people who weren't buying an Xbox One last month can get in line to not buy one this month as well.
Neither console is going to do much in China in the next year or so.
A lot of people are failing to see the real value in this. It's not meant for the person with a PS3 who already owns these games. But even for them, imagine having access to a library of great game wherever you are and all you need is a decent internet connection.
It will be more valuable to me when it comes to Vita and PSTV.
This is the price it should have been all along. $99 gets you everything you need to get started.
It is a must have for gamers at that price.
Microsoft is not making a game for Sony platforms. They're licensing their IP to Tell Tale who are making a game for various platforms.
Microsoft need to license Minecraft out as much as possible to recuperate the money they spent. ROI
It's a rough deal for someone who owns a PS4 and already has played most of these games on a PS3. But to someone who has never played these games before, or someone who only owns a compatible TV or a PSTV, then this is a fantastic deal.
You could pay $99 for a PSTV bundle and have near unlimited gaming for only $15 a month. No need for PS+, a memory card, or the need to ever buy a game.
These guys should be concerned right now for one reason. They are currently having 2 successful Patreon campaigns to raise money for this venture, but what is troubling is the low number of donors.
As of right now KindaFunnyGames is raising a little over $12,000 from 1931 donors. That is a little over $6 from each donor every month. Their KindaFunny campaign is just shy of $6 from each donor. And I'm sure there are a lot of cross-over donors who are donating to both.
The funny part is that his PSN ID is Moriarty-IGN. Maybe he's really hoping to be able to change his name now.
Personally, I think it's a pretty fantastic deal. I was fine paying the $7 for a week's worth of access to one game because for a dollar a day I was able to play through a game I wouldn't otherwise. And as games get bigger and bigger, I don't want to wait while a 15gb download is taking place.
For $15/month you get access to some of the biggest and best games of the previous generation. This makes it possible to own something like a PSTV and be perfectly conte...
I'm not so sure about that.
Sony knows how many copies of MLB 14 they sold for the Vita, both physically and digitally. They also know how much it costs to make a retail release for the game. If they decide to do this then it means that their data shows it's more profitable for them to cut out a retail release and keep things all in house.
While I prefer physical copies of my games, I understand that the economics don't always support it. It's...
Someone asked if it was going to be exclusive to the Vita and the original answer was yes. Then it was corrected to say that they made a mistake and that no platforms had been announced yet. So that leads to the conclusion that it isn't coming to the Vita at all? That's jumping the gun a little.
I'm betting that it will be a PS4/Vita cross-buy title. As much as I'd love for it to be a Vita exclusive, it makes no sense from a business perspective to not put it ...
Now where is Run Sackboy! Run!???
It's a whacky game... I guess that's why the mini they originally created was called Whackyland Boss. Again, not the deepest of games but it is some pretty crazy fun.
The media remote is more for the wife than anyone else. She's not going to move over to the PS4 if her only option of navigating is with the controller.
