This game has insane replay value. Between all the characters you can play as, along with all the levels, it's almost as if the game never ends.
I agree. I got on board just before the Instant Game Collection and I have a ton of great minis, PS1 games, and obscure PS3 games that were free in the early days.
And who knows, maybe they'll change it up again in the future. Eventually they'll drop the PS3. Maybe the Vita. I wonder what we'll get then.
I got my Platinum trophy for Infinity on the Vita and I have to say I'm impressed. It's obviously not as good as the PS4 version, but it is really impressive what they were able to put in this game. Well done.
I wouldn't say they need to be AAA games, but games you can't play anywhere else would help. I understand the cross-play, cross-buy appeal in a lot of games, but for most they'd just prefer to play those games on a PS4 on their TV. They need to be given a reason as to why they should also play it on a handheld.
And the fact is that most Vita games do not launch at $40.
People always point to the 3DS and point out that SD card prices are so cheap. Yes, they are. But with the Vita, you save so much more money down the road.
If you bought a Vita one year ago and a subscription to PS+, you'd now be sitting on a pile of 40 games to play. Even if you had shelled out for a 32gb card, your cost per game is amazingly low. And isn't that why we buy consoles? To play games?
Everyone is caught up in the up-front cost of the mem...
I have so many gripes that I could write a book just to list them all. And yet, at the end of the day, the Vita still remains my favorite gaming platform of all time. It sucks that they got a lot wrong with it, but what they got right they really got right. It's an amazing little device and I only wish that others saw it for what it really is (and not blinded by the proprietary memory card prices).
Why can't Kratos get any love? He's a fantastic character with many layers. His story is deep, beautiful, and tragic. Like the Greek mythology that his world is based in, tragedy and hubris are two themes that loom large in these games.
I hate when people just brush him off as "being angry all the time." He's mournful for the sins he's committed and pained by the fact that he can't die to forget them. That's why the very first time we see Kra...
I approve this list. Dragon's Crown and Rayman Origins. I'd get a PSTV just for those two games.
Agreed. I don't see why every game insists on shoe-horning a multiplayer mode into it just to check off a box. AC4 was a great game for me and would have been perfect if it didn't have the MP stuff required if I wanted to get the platinum trophy. I want more single player only games.
The idea of being able to take control of an AT-AT is pretty freaking cool. I'm really getting excited over the original trilogy stuff they've announced so far.
A little surprised it is going to be single player only, but considering how the multiplayer performs on the PS3, it's probably the best choice.
To be honest, I'd pay less just to get the game and base. But if it comes with black suit spidey, then so be it. Of course, I'll probably have to pick up a second copy so the kid can play on hers.
This is what I'm thinking. There was a time when I thought that maybe Sony would just give up on the Vita, but that's only because I look at it from a Western point of view.
The Vita is starting to do really well in Japan with weekly sales right around where the 3DS is. Vita games in Japan are best sellers. And if Sony wants to maintain any presence in its home country, it needs to have a handheld gaming system to offer.
That means despite the dooms...
All this talk about how stupid it is that Vue isn't coming to the PSTV is just ridiculous.
Vue is a premium service. It's not cheap. Starting at $50 a month means that people looking to save money are not going to go with this service. Therefore who is the person who is going to shell out $50-70 each month for internet TV but is going to only buy a PSTV to save money?? The answer is nobody. Or so few people that it doesn't really matter.
And even if Vue w...
No console tied to a TV is selling well in Japan. One of the main appeals to the PSTV is that it can remote play the PS4 from one room to another. This is a feature that is lost in the Japanese market.
I think it would do better in the West if Sony actually put some effort into acknowledging it existed.
Youtube ain't happening, but you can use it through the browser. Netflix is the one that everyone is waiting for.
I picked up my second during that Amazon sale. I needed a new PS3 controller and for $10 more, I could also get the PSTV, Lego game, and memory card. It was kind of a no-brainer
My weekly Friday ritual is about to begin. Hopefully there are a lot of Japanese names for Tyler to pronounce.
Tetris for the Vita had been MIA for months. It's nice to see that the game was worth the wait. It's even nicer to see that it doesn't suffer from the same bugs and flaws as the PS4 version.
