There are times when I feel that trophies do hurt my ability to enjoy a game. Usually though it comes after I get the platinum for a game. Something inside my mind now looks at the game and marks it as complete, nothing left to do. Why go back and replay the game if I've earned all the trophies already?
Of course it's completely illogical, but the fact that trophies provide these check marks or goals for you to chase, after you get them the incentive to return feels diminished...

The list on Sony's website is complete garbage and totally inaccurate. I wouldn't trust it at all. And that leaves you to having to google whether a game is compatible or not. That's just sad.

The PSTV is a hard thing to sell. It's a micro gaming console that does some things really well, but it is also very complicated.
It plays Vita games, but only some Vita games. How do you know if a game is compatible? There is no easy way. And when you do play a Vita game, all the onscreen graphics for things like controls are going to show you a picture of a Vita instead of a Dualshock controller.

I agree with everyone else here who says this guy has nothing to apologize for. From the very beginning this game has been promoted as a single-player, narrative based game that was achieving for a cinematic experience. It would look great and have a good story. And from all accounts, that's exactly what it is.
What wasn't communicated well? What is there to be blamed for?
It would be nice if the themes were available everywhere. North America doesn't have this theme. We also don't have the Tearaway theme or the Toro and Friends theme. All we have are a bunch of $2.99 ones that are all blah.
So are they reviewing the game or the price? In three months, The Order is going to be $20 on sale. Will it be a better game then?
I think a game should be critiqued on what it is, not on how much it costs. Review the game and let the consumer determine if it's worth the money.
Journey was only 2 hours. If someone were to score it low because of that, they're not qualified to review anything.
Kick and Fennick is by far one of the best games I've played in a long time. It's the one game I was able to just sit and play without getting tired after 10 minutes. It's a good mix of fun and challenge.
What's truly shocking is how well Rogue sold. This is a game that received little to no marketing and was all but ignored by Ubisoft. Yet it went on to sell almost as many copies as Unity.

I haven't played Unity yet, but from my friends who have, they say a lot of the criticism is overblown. Sure there were a few hiccups here and there, but for the most part, it was solid.
The problem happens when people who are counting frame-rate and pixels and the report every tiny little flaw on gaming forums. This gets repeated over and over until suddenly the game is "unplayable and broken."
This is one of the biggest reasons I love this thing. It's also great for when my kid spends the weekend with her grandparents. I can take the PSTV and she has a way to play Minecraft and a bunch of other games. It works great.
Exactly. PSM was a noble idea when it launched, but do to changes in other ecosystems, it's almost irrelevant now. It used to be a starting place for young devs, but now they've gone to iOS and Android.
