Because the controller to play these games small and cumbersome for most people to use for any period of time. Sure, they highlight that it can use 3rd party controllers as well, and the one they choose to promote is a Steeleseries one. A $70 controller.
Now who is going to be so into playing games that they'll spend $70 for a controller but don't want to spend the money to get a PS4 or XB1?
Apple essentially just announced a clone of Amazon's Fire TV. However, since this is Apple, it's going to receive more attention than its competitors, but not necessarily sales. The Apple TV wasn't setting sales records before, and it's hard to see what was added that will change that.
And gaming will not be a factor here.
It's like Apple heard all these people who said, "All Apple has to do is put an App store on the AppleTV and it will be a console killer" and did just that. No. That isn't going to work, and neither will this.
For a gaming console, it's underpowered with a horrible controller. For a media streaming device, it's $50 too expensive. So it's trying to be both but fails to be either. It's trying to hard to be something nobody really wants. Sports...
This game is boring and repetitive. It wants to be Metroid but it is clearly not. As far as "Metroidvania" games go, it's one of the worst I've played.
Nope. North's performance is better. Neither are working with anything great, and they add pauses that make it awkward, but North's delivery works better for me. Dinklage just sounds like Dinklage reading.
I'm sure a lot of people care. I care. Others in the comments here care. It's a great little device that can do a lot. Sadly though, Sony doesn't seem to care. That's the real tragedy. The PSTV has some issues, but nothing it couldn't overcome with a little help. Unfortunately it probably won't get that help. Sony should probably just open the system up and let the community hack and mod it to their hearts content. Then you'd see some amazing things happen (like sa...
Great interview. Such a great game and a fantastic creator.
Wow. I think this looks pretty great, and the perfect game for the Vita. Can't wait to see more of it.
The Vita has Minecraft. It doesn't matter if anything comes out in the future, with that one game it has relevancy for a very long time.
Great list of games. Here's a few more Top-ten PSTV games:

This article makes no sense at all. It's like pointing out a few glitchy NES games and saying "video games are ruined forever."
I have an original 3DS and I regret it every day. If it had a screen with a resolution that didn't hurt my eyes, then maybe, but it's just so horrible. Even the touch screen is highly inaccurate and bad.
Define "broken game." People always complain that a game is "broken" because one aspect may not work. AC Unity was "broken" because characters would pop-in and NPCs started conversations in areas they weren't supposed to. That's an unfortunate glitch but it doesn't make the product broken.
Sadly, this Muppets game misses the mark in almost every way. I wanted it to be good, but it's just so bland.
I bought my 3rd one today. For $40, I can't pass up that bundle.
I keep going back and forth with Nintendo. I grew up with the NES, but then went over to the Genesis when the 16 bit era hit. After that I transitioned over to mainly PC games as Civilization and the LucasArts games really caught my attention. By the time I was ready to jump back into consoles, the PS2 was king. I loved my PS2 and played some great games, but after awhile, the more mature and dark games just didn't appeal to me anymore. I wanted something colorful and fun. Like the games ...
I may be the only other person in the world who agrees with you. I learned on the PS1 and got really comfortable with it on PS2. So when the PS3 controller kept the same form factor (meaning I didn't need to re-learn the button layout) it was perfect. Add in the fact that the battery life on the DS3 is phenomenal (especially compared to the DS4) then you have the best controller ever.
This isn't SNES vs Genesis. It's not PS2 vs Dreamcast vs Xbox. Exclusives don't matter as much anymore when these systems live and breathe in an online social network. We've seen that time and time again since the system launched. Social groups needed to make a decision on which console to back, and they picked the PS4.
I don't feel the need to own every console and play every game out there. I have a PS4 because it's where everyone I want to play wit...
And yet The Order was heavily marketed and they pushed hard for that game.
I see it as the person who has the last word wins. Microsoft may have had a good conference but it will be forgotten after Sony announces at TGS, Paris Games Week, and then caps things off with PSX. The way things look right now, all te coverage going into the holidays will be PS4 focused.
If you want the Steeleseries controller they're pushing, you're looking at $70. Plus $200 for 64gb. Or you can pick up a PS3 or X360 for a fraction of the price with better games.
