As soon as he said "games are too expensive" I couldn't take anything seriously. Games have never, ever, been cheaper than they are today. People are drowning in games. Hell, Sony and Microsoft give away games each month or have sales where a few dollars will nab you a bunch of games. When I was a kid, we had, maybe, a total of 20 games. Ever. Now, I get that many games with a few months of PS+.

Gaming today is better than it has ever been. Games are no longe...

Every one of those games should be in a video game hall of fame. Having them just be nominees seems a bit ridiculous.

This game looks so chill. I had never heard of it before but it's probably the one game I'm now most excited about.

Really? Come on dude. You're not even trying, are you?

It's a home console that is more expensive and less powerful than the competition. It's a portable console that is too big to be pocketable (and which people don't care about portables). It has little to now 3rd party support and what it does have, nobody is interested in buying. Switch right now is being labeled as a Zelda machine, and that's all. The problem with that is once nobody buys the ports of Ubisoft games or the gimped version of FIFA, both EA and Ubi will stop supp...

You can't find a Wii U anywhere to buy new. You can't find a 3DS anywhere to buy. You can't find a NES Classic to buy. And now you can't find a Switch anywhere to pre-order. Nintendo has 4 consoles on the market and you can't buy any of them right now. Let that sink in. This company is screwed.

I hate assigning numbered scores to games. I used to review games, and the score I gave a game went to Metacritic and either positively/negatively effected that games overall score. The problem I would always have is that by giving a game a number, I was saying it was better/worse than another game I reviewed and gave a score to. This game was a 4/5 for me, so it's better than the game I gave a 3.8 to? Well, maybe not in every way. So is it more a 3.7? What is the definite number that sho...

They're taking a $147 million charge for inventory and severance... which leads me to believe that the game wasn't actually that bad off. Disney has just decided they want out of the business. This is disappointing.

I'm really enjoying the game so far. I'm just happy a big publisher put out a retail game for Vita that is PSTV compatible. Good one Ubi.

That's what I keep saying, but I keep seeing these articles making it sound like it's something new. They already have Run, Sackboy Run and others on the market already. The only thing that changed is they've now created a separate business entity that will focus exclusively on making those games.

Same here. I started it on the PS4 but it just didn't feel right on the big screen. Looking forward to playing it on the Vita.

It seems to me that Blitworks was frustrated because they had to port a game that was incomplete and already buggy. They said they'd love to patch it, but do they get paid to patch it? The statement from Grim Bros seemed to push too much of the blame away from themselves and onto the porting house. But if you look at the past work from this place, everything they do is super solid... except this one, which they actually singled out in an interview as being a pain to do.

Yep. This wasn't Blitworks fault and for the developers to come out and say it was just sucks.

The problem is with the term "games journalist." Most sites offer little to zero "journalism" and instead repeat press releases or offer opinions/editorials on games. Kotaku consistently offers actual journalism which provides news and stories that are independent of the company's official messaging.

In no other industry or beat do reporters have such a cozy and close relationship with those people they cover without being called out on it. But in gam...

It plays a ton of Vita games. Plus it plays PSP games, PS1 games, minis, and PS Now. It also does remote play pretty well.

@MSBAUSTX Yes, I'm aware 1000 people have said it before me, and I knew someone would bring it up in this comments section, so I figured I may as well bite the bullet and be "that guy."

I have to agree with you on that one. The Wii U selling 1.2 million units in 6 months is not good. The argument has always been that Wii U sales don't have to be that strong because the 3DS is doing great. But the 3DS is only doing slightly better at 2.28 million in six months?? I guess the New 3DS upgrade cycle didn't take off for them as much as they were hoping.

They're losing any marketshare they once had. Mobile is taking away the portable side of their busin...
