Even if that was the case. Just by development time alone the chance of another Genshin Impact in 2021 is very slim. The game had so far 3 years of development and in the current pace is likely to stay in development for half a decade more.
I'm not so sure about Genshin Impact. For sure it showed that a more "console" approach to gameplay can work with traditional "mobile" monetization. However GI was built with a budget that mirror a AAA production and therefore I doubt that we will see "plenty" of games trying to emulate it.
To be fair. They did also change the SoC of the units.
Both 2019 versions use the X1+ that is a 25% performance bump over the normal X1 of the older versions. And it really makes a difference for some things like GC/Wii emulation.
But it is worth $60 (controller price)? It's very debatable.
Yeah you either got a old model or got the Gaming package and didn't notice. The newest 2019 version of it does not come with a controller.

Is more of general advice. For PC gaming is exactly the same thing, while the DS4 was a fairly popular option for having a good quality/price ratio the Dual Sense is better to be avoided as you are not going to get anything out of it's special features. But will be paying the premium anyway.
Also only older models and the Gaming Edition of the Shield have a supplied controller. For all the rest including the newer cylindrical and Pro editions you have to supply your ow...
It's nice to have the support. But without the unique functions of the DualSense I wouldn't go for it unless you already have a PS5 laying around. As there are many other controllers compatible with the system that will also cost much less.
This is not a new game anymore, so nobody that didn't already got the game on release will run to get it now. Or at least not in the amount need to actually create a increase in sales.
If the Denuvo was not there in the first place, they could have indeed got some extra sales from people that dislike the presence of software - if it would be enough to justify the risk is another story. But that is now a lost opportunity.
Digital games could work. Or even a disc add-on for the dock.
Sure.
I get that it's illegal to geo-block as the European block functions as one market. But for the average user from the few countries that benefits from regional pricing in the block. This decision will likely lead to a increase in game prices.
Or you know that if they ever port something again that they do it with more care? Or better yet hire a studio that have experience with it. So the people that bought the game don't have to wait 5 months of bug fixes for it to be in a good state.
I'm surprised they did support it for as long as they did. Given how unimpressive the whole port was to begin with. I assume it would be only a cash grab/marketing tool. But they did at least fixed a lot of their original mess.
AMD really striked gold with consoles. Considerable easier to provide for, guaranteed sales and they supply for two out the tree platforms out there.
This look a bit too rough to be a Yakuza game. Though it might be a mobile or Switch exclusive game.
You are thinking about Denuvo Anti-Tamper. A completely different service from the Denuvo Anti-Cheat that the article and myself are talking about.
The only game that I know that used to have it. Was DOOM Eternal and that got removed as it works in a pretty similar fashion to the one in Valorant and/or the one in Genshin Impact. And people really disliked that.
Hard to be excited by a new "New Super Mario Bros". After the first game and maybe the Wii title. This series got really stale.
I don't think it need a reboot per say. As expressed by the article the game itself was a major success. That said we are already on Gears 5 and as the story of all the games is conected they are going to have issues in gathering new fans the more games they launch.
So eventually it will either need a reboot. Or to be put to rest.
This is an opinion article. Literally any game can belong to such a list.
Currently there is no need for more of 10GB of VRAM for 4K gaming. That said. What some people are extremely concerned about is how much that will be the case in the near future. Given that developers now are dealing with consoles that feature 16 GB.
So basically people are concerned that in one or two years those cards will be useless for gaming at this resolution.
